RulesDrivers that have signed up and dont appear on the race day, without giving a 24 hour notice will be excluded from any future events i organize.
(any unforeseen circumstances like no internet connection, family matters, will not be counted towards this rule)Its seems only fair to do it this way because you take a spot on the grid which could have been given to someone else who could have done the race.
- No Chat during Qualifying and the Race.
You can find this option under Settings -> Misc -> Track.
- No Track Cutting during the whole event.
This means for example, not going on to the track straight out of the pits, use the PIT OUT (and PIT IN) area.
- No Voting during the Race, other then the admin.
- Be on time Players need to be in the server before the Qualifying session begins. This will eliminate connection lag for people on there qualifying lap(s).
Basic Info
- OldSchool Nightshift server is up, so you can practice, Vote system enabled, so you can skip sessions if need be.
- Post here to say you're in for the race, if so i will put you're name on the list of 24. Full=Full
- Wildcards can sign up on top of the 24 riders already signed up, if riders drop wildcard entries move up to the riderslist. If you would like a wildcard post in here to say you want a wildcard.

- Racing class is WSS600, This means that we will be using the WSS600 mod created by GP Bikes Italia (http://gp-bikes-italia.forumfree.it/)
This WSS600 mod contains the following bikes: Honda CBR 600 RR, Suzuki GSXR 600, Kawasaki Ninja 6R, Yamaha YZF R6, Thriumph Daytona 675R and Ducati 749RS for GPBikes.
- Any liveries that you want too use and are not already available in the community, send them too me or post a link in here. I will make sure they end up in the wright place.
Liveries are supposed to be handed in before 14:00 UK (15:00 CET) on raceday. If not delivered on time they will not be included in the skinpack for the event.

People should realise that races are not won in the first corners and to take it steady on the 1st lap through the 1st & 3rd corners on this track to avoid collisions. ;D

No excuse... ;)i didn't practice either only yesterday about 12 laps. Ill keep you on the whitelist so you can always join in.
Just come for the fun, it will be fun. just make sure you get off the race line asap, pay attention too the flags shown.
And the faster guys will be aware of the what slower ones and act accordingly.

I decided to take a risk with hard tyres and after about 7 laps it was like riding on ice for some strange reason? I heard that Nouviac had the same problem too.
My gear change also decided to play up badly during the race, changing up when I wanted to change down and vice versa? Is this a fault with my config or can GPB do this as a mechanical failure??
Any way I decided to limp to the end of the race, but god knows how many times I was lapped or fell on my arse during that race... I'll be interested to see the replay to see were everything started to go wrong for me in this one. Lol
Anyway it was great fun as usual and again Peter put on a great event as always, just sad to hear Peter is having a winter break from promoting race events... We'll miss you Peter, but you've been doing a fantastic job mate. Well done!! ;) ;D 8)

Sorry I missed the event guys. Yesterday was a holiday (Thanksgiving) here in the U.S. and I was up late with my siblings. Over slept and end up getting up until well after the event had already started. Then events here for us in the U.S. are in the Mid afternoon. 2:30-4 pm.

Yes, Peter V it's very good and very interesting this championship but it's the Wenesday and for many guys it's difficult in week with job.
But if you want a champioship 500cc or 600cc for me it's very good but the Friday or Sunday nigth when all guys are at home ;)
I am very enjoy to seen many race and many championship start now.
And we have a good players with a good respect of the rules (fair play) and good ambience.

I have the same problem with my tire.
I have take the tire hard front and rear and it's a big error for my race.
I don't have a good sensation with my bike after 8 or 9 laps.
It's very long and very "hard" lol
My time was 1,34 1,35 but with big difficulty.
Yesterday after the race I have test again my setup and with medium it's very better my time 1,33,5 at 1,34 with very good regularity.
I have loose the race with this choice tyre.

This was a more interesting race than I first thought. With no setup and no practice, late home from work, I thought 'this is gonna suck' especially as I opted for what I thought was safe tyres (hard) :o

Just done a test on using hard tyres to try and define what the problem was for me and others who used hard tyres in the race last night:
The conclusion that I've come to from my test is that the susp/tyre pressures used for the med tyres needs to be totally different for when using hard tyres. Because again I did the 8 laps with same fuel load and suspension settings I set for use with the med tyres but using the hard tyres I used in the race. Again the tyres started to feel like they had hardly any grip at all. I suspected the tyre temps were either not getting to operating temps or possibly getting too hot, but no, tyres temps were okay, so I can only deduce that it is the suspension settings that need to be altered for use with hard tyres? But then again, why would the hard tyres grip reasonably okay for the first 7-8 laps and then suddenly start to go over the cliff(so to speak)?
Now I'm wondering if the hard tyres have a bug in there grip/operating temp levels on the YZFR6?

It's the same with the ZX6R !
no problems with the hard tire for me, for sure it has lower grip than the medium but its not like on ice ::) only 3 laps before the end i felt the front didnt grip under hard breaking whilste riding my arse off to escape lorix lol

Hmm.... Very strange. I can only presume that the differences are due to different susp setting then, but my rear end and my front end in particular was washing away from me regularly with those hard tyres after 7-8 laps, and it was a big noticeable change in performance from earlier laps too. When using the med tyres I didn't get any problems at all, the handling was almost perfect.

Yep 22 laps on medium, and they where not even completly worn, plenty rubber left.
I choose hard tyre during the practice session, but it felt way off compared to the medium, so i switched back again for the race.
I chose mediums for the race. I could control my pace very well.. last 5 laps was a little tricky when I was trying to close down on Kerazo..

You were using totally bog-standard default setup!? :o
I just cannot find my comfort zone with the default setup.... The front end just doesn't track like it does when I adjust the setup for my own riding style.
Unlike Peter, I unfortunately didn't give the hards a test before the race(I wish I did. LOL), but just took the risk of the hards giving a better level of grip maybe 8 laps into the race when the meds should be starting to go off peak grip levels. But also presuming that the hards wouldn't give such a performance penalty for me in the early laps(Which for me they most certainly did).
Personally I think the grip levels on tyres should degrade more during a full race, especially dependant on duration of tyre temps and wear factors over a long period of laps. That way it would be vital to set the correct tyre pressures and also wear rates dependant on your riding style so that one rider may need a hard rear to last a full race, were another rider could maybe get away with med tyres on both wheels, or vice versa depending on the track and style of riding you do. ;D
I just think that would make things so much more interesting to know that you have to get the right settings to stand a chance of winning the race rather than, as you said kerazxo, you just used the standard settings.

I did lots of practice laps on all tyres throughout the week and my laptime was consistantly close between soft, meds, hard tyres.
Who knows, maybe I selected used soft tyres by mistake? From lap 1 grip levels were poor for me.
