OK I have had some fun ( :P) creating a file for the server that means when you join it - even from being the first one there - it will already have approximately 20 laps of one bikes Soft tyre rubber on the track.

So you can see the Racing Line already and you can build on it should you wish. It resets whenever the last man leaves the server but back to 20 laps of rubber, not totally green.

As already worked out by the community thanks to some great work by Hero's here having this file may/can cause problems - especially to those players with a high ping.

So for feedback please check your PING on entering the server then let us know what it was here IF you get a core or anything  else unexpected. Remember we are not trying to re-create the wheel here just getting some recent data prior to B7 release.

Thanks  ;)

PS: By RACING LINE I mean lines created by me wobbling round the track as fast as I could - not necessarily the best line lol

Had a torrential rain downpour at Mallory earlier but a drying line was forming quite nicely in the evening sun:

Only 1 core for me, during practice when resting from the gravel trap into someones path, otherwise very stable for me

Sorry i'm not/wasn't around for the race, To many people on such a small track...

I got a core right before the race.

Firstly I must apologise to JJ for clipping his back end and causing him to crash. Really sorry about that JJ, I didn't have any practice and joined just as the race was about to start so I wasn't in the groove, so to speak. I should've stayed away.  :-\ :-[ :(

I ended up bailing out because I was more a danger to everyone else due to rushing in at last minute without any practice on an unfamiliar bike too, so....  :-\

Hope you guys had a great time.... the track groove looked great Nick!  ;D 8)

Hawk.

Well that  :-[ (Okay yes, maybe rage quit :P )

And the facts that neither me or JJ couldn't reset to track after a crash on the 2nd corner...

OK pretty sweet race please put all your comments here - loads of people left before the end - I need to know why. If it was rage or core it doesn't matter please let me know. We try to make a comparison here Pre and Post B7

I think for all during the whole half hour practice and 20 minute qualify only 1 person has core.

It went a bit awry at the first start because of people failing to get on track in time then after restarts it always induces problems.

All in all not anywhere near as bad as I feared!  ;D thanks to those already posted above. We must re-run it after B7  ;D

yes Matty I think it was because you were both on top of each other so you couldn't R to rejoin. Once you left JJ could rejoin track. Not an Dynamic problem I think

Must be the qwerks of the Dynamic Surface playing things up I'd say?

But I also noticed strange things happening too: Like my clutch wouldn't work, then it's operation was reversed, and I had to calibrate and reset my gear change buttons twice before the race. Very strange behaviour.

we also had some loose cannons onboard who we don't know and joined cos they saw lots of people on the server lol.

To their credit they didn't cause many issues.

In fact there was way more people there than I was expecting so not a bad result at all.

Very strange Hawk - I will leave the dynamic Mallory up if you want to try and simulate it again sometime?

When you joined the track? was it first time you joined track for race or second?

I do not know who touched in the first corner but he was nearly stopped in turn ... But my apology. I am a lot of fun, unfortunately for my mistake I lost the position of Nick at the end :)

Don't worry about it - I wiggled through the carnage and was running with Yan in 2nd for a few laps before excitement took over and I binned it into a hedge so I am not too chuffed with myself  lol ;D

I will say that the daytona seems to handle a lot better when there is rubber down, it is a much nice bike to ride.

2 seconds off fastest lap in qualiy on "inferier" machinery ::)

As for the reset issue Hawk- it might have also been down to the crash that happend very close behind. Like what it used to be, unable to reset when a bike was close behind.

Guys n Gals:

there will be a race this Sunday at the usual time. What it comprises of depends very much on this test today and also on some answers from the big man at the top.  :o

So I will let you know as soon as absolutely possible but you can plan to race at 21:00 CET. More details soon.  ;)

It helps loads, actually makes the bike competetive and with someone who knows how to ride ;) , it might actually win a race.

On a larger track the difference might not be as noticable (a lotta laps got ridden around mallory today) but it would deffenitly help.

Here there is really very little editing, just put a blur (where there are trees), raising the saturation, because the colors in gp bikes are a bit dead, and it  is adjusted slightly, the contrast and brightness. All stuff a few seconds :)
