Good point! Silverstone nds the home of water (this will be a dry event unless the Hawkster surprises us)

The 125 front is a disaster and the 2014 version of both the Kalex and Suter really seem underpowered.

Yes so far I have not been able to do 1 lap with either 125 bike without losing front every lap. This bike hurts the game for potential customers IMO. Maybe too frustrating for me to ride here.

A Change of Bike Class for first race.....

Okay guys.... I hear what you are saying about the GP125  bikes being too unstable to use in the event.......

I've decided to change the bike class in the first race to the Moto 3 bike class instead of the GP125cc bikes.  ;)

Hmm I feel a bit bad that you have changed but I am grateful 'cos that 125 for me is no fun on that track (as much as I would really like to ride the 125's more). So thanks.

It's no problem Nick.... I have been testing the GP125's since seeing the reports here and can understand what you guys are saying here, so we'll go with the Moto 3 bikes as they are very stable around Silverstone.

Shabby? Well if you call recognising that I've made a wrong decision and willing to admit it and remedy the situation "Shabby", then "Shabby" it is.  ;)

I'm a big 2 stroke fan as you know Fin, and there is nothing more I'd have liked to do than to ride the 125cc 2 strokes in the first race, but there is no doubt that it is unstable and unpredictable on the front end, and these races are all about having fun and being able to enjoy the racing as well as riding my favourite bikes(2 strokes)..... But I for one would rather ride a stable bike than a bike that is unstable and unpredictable, surely you'd find that more fun too?  :)

Actually as another "Shabby" act, I have put the RGV500cc sound files into the Moto 3 bike(this will not cause any data mismatch errors) that I'm going to ride and for me it works brilliantly in sounding like a 2 stroke bike, and also the sound of the engine gear changes and RPM levels sound correct as well(unlike the original sound files). If anyone wants to do the same just give me a PM and I'll send you the details. It's a simple process and, for me personally, it makes riding the bike a pleasure.   ;D

edit: I use the Loopatelli M3 sounds, I believe they are the 450supermoto sounds.

Nobody did - Hawk independently investigated to see if our tears of woe were justified, and agreed they were and did something about it, for the fun of everyone, even at the expense of his own. And that's why we luv him x

I've written this, I with my setup with no problems 8 laps without crashing drive through kann.mit 2:02 hours.
but what the heck, it was so decided, and so it should be.

That's a good idea Borenlater, their performances are about the same..... But I think we'll stick with what we have decided now unless other riders wish to voice their opinions otherwise? Only then I will seriously consider putting the GP125's in as well.

There's nothing quite like a lively Saturday debate!

I would be happy to see the 125s included as a choice.
I would be very surprised if anyone used them though 'cos even I was 4 seconds quicker than Fins 125 time on my first M3 lap.
I would like to see the top 5 racers use them in this race so they they get a decent challenge, us nooboids have a chance of a win and we all have more fun!

Edit: Fins latest 125 time is now faster than that M3 time I mentioned. So the second two points above are invalid.
Um...I think the top 5 racers should use the CBR250 then.

just kidding I haven't tried 125gp since b6 was released but as far as I can remember it was near impossible to make a decent lap without crashing, I'll give it a try this afternoon

Hi Loopa.

We changed the GP125 to the Moto 3 bike for the first event several posts ago.  ;) ;D

So just to be clear: Riders will be riding the Moto 3 bikes only in the first event. The second event will be riding your choice of either the Moto 2 or GP250 bikes.

We tested it and it is just too unpredictable. If you take it steady it's okay, but as soon as you start pushing it(as we do in a race), it just becomes a lottery with the front end washing out in situations it should not do so.
There maybe a suspension setting that will help this problem, but I'd guess most wouldn't find it in time for the race, so it was best to just switch to a stable bike for this event hence the change to the Moto 3 class for the first race.  :)

Let us know how your test gets on because it will be interesting if you can actually find a setup that makes the GP125 stable under race conditions.  ;D 8)

What is good moto2/250Gp times here? i just did a test and seems like i have got my controller to work okay now ;)

did 4 laps with 250GP and improved every lap from 1.55,9 on first lap to 1.51,8 on last lap :)

we seem to be missing a lot of people from this event at the moment. Quallification session starts shortly  :o

Fantastic Race 1 for me. No falls other than being struck from behind once and 4th place overall (which, if you remove the aliens is a win in my book)  :D). My finest race yet in many areas.

Race 2 - cored out at start.  The risk of cores increase with each restart for those that don't restart game. While I don't doubt jumps often happen for no known reason, please sit still when joining the track until the lights go green.  I watched there and I see people revving the titties off the bike, wiggling the steering and whooping their animations like someone poured ants into their panties and bra. I know its exciting but........lol.  ;)

It doesn't have any sense of making Moto2 vs GP250 anymore when everybody use Aprilia 250. Seems that Moto2 are not good motorcycles...

They are good but not as fast as the Moto2 at Silverstone it seems. Closer was at Spa! Remember that?

Maybe next time we try the Gp250 vs SSp600 - they were very close at Snetterton, oh or even Moto 2 vs SSp600 - lots we can play with!

My race 1 = Disaster, in second corner fin strike me, no problem but maybe a little more calm at first turns  ::)
My race 2 = Disaster core in qually on my fast lap, core on start line (i restart ever the game before) and after another restart (I did not understand why this restart) i lose the concentration and I accelerated when the lights has disappeared...

Yes indeed! Thanks Hawk you chose a great event there, I sure wish I could ride that M3 like I do now, back in the old M3 championship when I was learning. Really enjoyed that one.

Shame about the Race 2 cores I was feeling reasonably strong (for me) in that event too. But hey onwards to the next!

I had great fun in the first race. My second race was a total disaster and that's all I'm going to say about it. Lol  :P

I spent most of the second race watching the race from the side-lines on live replay which was great fun watching Yan, Davide, and Loopa battling it out at the front! Nice one guys! ;D

I enjoyed racing! was nice to be back, i see i am a bit rusty! too many crashes and little off pace, but not too bad after month or more without GP Bikes :D

i want race online too but core core core i dont know how you guys and girls can live with that..and of course when i ask piboso what he will do with the core error no answer. surprise. but still best moto game out there.

thanks for the good racing all had a good laugh. battle with hawk on m3 was good i always try to be clean and and leave room if needed but accidents still happen. massive sorry to teeds for pretty much ruining any chance he had in the Gp250s just braked a tad late sorry mate. roll on the next one.

Which is why it is important not to keep restarting the race because of jumps and ride throughs. Core has not been such a problem for us in the club because the regular riders rarely jump so restarts are not many.
