- the 2 new tracks are WIP, too
Download mirrors are always welcome.
;D
Great work, Ty very much! :) downloading..... 8)
Still glad this came free with GP-Bikes :)
fired WRS up, jumped in the sprint car, hit the track but (know nothing about sprint cars ::))do they have gears? just 1? also the car pulls to the left, i guess this is normal for oval racing?
Where FR2000, FR3000, GT and RX gone? :'(
Sprint car isawesome! I'll test the RD tonight :)
Time to try this sim ;D

???
Please make sure to make a clean install.
My mistake, I had old versions uncompressed in my "cars" folder :-[
nice one, can't wait to try it tomorrow ( busy this evening )

The server is probably overloaded at the moment, and this is a good sign :)

Thanks Piboso and crew, time to buy a wheel ;D ;D ;D
Not too bad now on 360 pad with the new steer speed sensitivity option.
Its nice! Only had a few laps with each car, same thing as BoB says with the Sprint Car - is it supposed to pull left all the time? I know nowt about this class but it sure takes some getting used too.
I would need a lot more practice to input any useful feedback but..... Initial opinion - I love the 'feel' of it so far. Well done! :)
The replay only records for about 1 min.. there a way to increase it?
Really good update.
The new content is really good, even if I have some problems to get used of the RD500 downshift and the sprintcar's steering ;D. As Nick said, it's "playable" on a xbox pad which is great. The "rallycross" track is really fun, both with the RX and Supermotos on MXB.
For the few hours I played, I think all new features are great! :)
@BOBR6
In core.ini, add a "[CORE]" section like this :
[CORE]
replay = 1000000
The biggest is the value, the biggest is the replay
Crazy the (sl_rd) keeps going into neutral for some reason. I do half a lap and it just starts reving in neutral.
It only happens when I downshift. :'(
I had this problem too. Be sure to have all helps (shift, clutch) on off, because it's seems that it causes some troubles. After ~20 laps, I still miss some gears on downshift but it's better.

Same here, can't drive with auto clutch..
SL RD is not wroking well with shift help...(I know it have synchromesh and driver need blip and cut off when shifting if shift help OFF)
and not good feel physics on kerb compared from beta6. ( tyre Repelled from kerb) I feel that FR2000 at NC mugello.
and dont stop on sand trap yet... we slide tooooo long. no feel sand resistance.
but, SL RD and sprintcar feel are very exciteing! ;D
Hey Piboso, for me I had 7 core.exe out of 7 program starts. It is the first time I installed WRS, so it is sure to be a clean install. On my first attempt, the sim crashed after hitting some edge of a track, which you said is WIP. Ok, no problem I restarted and chose Victoria, cause that should be more stable. I could get out of pits and do first corner, after that a core.exe while shifting. Next try, same result while hitting white line. From then on, I have a crash every time the car is being set in the pits. As soon as the car is set in the pits, I hear that windows "diiing" which means sth happened.
Error code says something cryptic with "bNormalization.Result" and another window with "core.exe". Error happens with every car on every track now. Having no such problems with GPB or KRP...
Hope it does help in some way. The sim looks cool so far, really wanted to try it out. Still not giving up :)
System Specs:
Windows 8.1, 64-bit
intel core i5-4440 @3.1Ghz, 8 GB RAM
nvidia GeForce GTX 660
Cheers!

Doubt this is the same problem Stout but I had that when I had 2x core.exe running. ( I had GpBikes still open in background DOH!). Thought I'd say just in case.

Yeah thnx, no problem there. Made a system reboot, same problem.
Edit: After clicking 'track' the car settles in the world (I can see the springs of the car go down), then the error sound occurs and the game is frozen.
race > World...timeout.
and I checked stats server page. no servers. maybe its bug..

It should work now.
After a few setup adjustments and setting up the steering wheel properly as per directions posted elsewhere here on the forum, I started getting some really good laps in with the sprint car, actually feels really really good! Manic, hard to handle, and oh so rewarding when you get it right! Turning lap after lap playing with the wing adjustment I figured out just where it likes to be to plant full power to the rear wheels and turn the front wheels into ornaments there for your viewing pleasure as they don't do much during a wheelie. ;D

I love it! Thank you so much for the hard work and dedication it's taken to get to this point. I am looking forward to many laps of wheelie and power sliding madness with the new sprint car.
Did 13 laps with RX on rx track and I have to say it's a great fun :P Looking forward to some racing!
What's up with the RX car feeling like its dominated by the front wheels? I can get it sideways but as soon as I hit the gas it's basically a front wheel drive car. Diff settings?
Unless you get it really sideways, then it just accelerates sideways, meaning it seems to speed up its lateral speed, and not forwards at all. It's really awkward. That and the car will slide back and forth laterally if you slide to a stop sideways.
Don't dare tip the sprint car on its side if you have a FFB wheel. I think it tries to tip itself back up. But it just pulls itself around on its side. If my wheel wasnt shaking itself to death I'd probably laugh at it. The best way I found to drive it was to go into the corners gently and then hold it WFO with the wheels full lock to the right and then just modulate the throttle a little bit on corner exit to get it to come back. It didn't feel realistic at all, I think I felt the front wheels flopping when I got near full lock, which seemed to transfer enough weight to an important place that the car will just hold itself in a steady slide no matter what.
I made a 2wd RX car, it's fun, but I thought it would be easier to slide, especially on throttle accelerating off of corners, it's not. It feels alright sliding into the corners, a lot like the AWD version, you need to balance it and keep the rear end from swapping ends. Maybe a little too touchy, will have to check into the weight distribution to know for sure. But on the throttle it spins way too quick, it doesn't matter how quick the tire is spinning in comparison to the ground you shouldn't lose all lateral traction like you do. I took a look at the tire files, but couldn't find any explanation of the gibberish at the top. I have a feeling with the other odd behavior it's the tires, but it could be a lack of inertia too. It's time like this I wish I were an engineer so I could be of more help.
All in all the tire model needs some serious work. Hopefully you can get it nailed down, because with your terrain deformation and dynamic track there's a huge untapped market out there begging for a game that does such a nice job of simulating dirt tracks/surfaces.
IMHO of course.
Anybody have a good setting for the handbrake? I have it assigned to the ''A'' button on the GPX controller..
I want it to ''bite'' on/off quickly.. At the moment the button has a ''smooth'' filter.. Feels to weak to kick the rear end out. Seems to create more understeer.
RX car.

it's normal for a setup for oval tracks

yes sorry, quite probably because of the language, anyway I also feel some strange behaviour in the sprint cars, I agree with you in the parts I understand
There was a lot of positive feedback about Beta7.
However, rallycross seems to have been mostly overlooked, so it needs to be showcased:

I think all the content of WRS is great. The Rallycross is a particular highlight. Congratulations! Cant figure out how to drive like your video yet but that will come I guess if I put the practice in. For now though all my hopes are pinned elsewhere ;)

Which car and track?
What's the name of the setup?

good drifting! seem to changing tyre parameter 8)
and I think, gravel surface is hard hardness of contact patch( I get feel it on MXbikes too). I hope someday, we have some type of gravel (ex, soft, medium and hard touch surface gravel) it different how dugging when same load to surface.
and in rain condition, gravel feel changing muddy, it have more dugging and more road resistance...

tandridge and victoria, name setup "a"
but now it keeps it, maybe if I don't assign it at least one time to race or qualify, it doesn't save it for restore

I will not ever able to drive in this way, but good job in this release, bravo!
