Sunday      21:00 CET - Track open for 25 Minute Qualifying Session - please BE ON THE SERVER BEFORE SESSION STARTS
Sunday      21:25 CET - Track open for 5 minute Warm-up Session (time may be reduced)
Sunday      21:30 CET - RACE 1 START

Maybe it would be a good idea to only allow one skin-set per rider for each bike in the club skin pak? Otherwise we're going to end up with loads of skins for the same riders that are never going to be used.  :P

That's why i make all my bikes to one skin and it has stayed that way since i took over :P (GB Racing FTW!)

Well i have pretty much stayed with same suit and skin too ;) the Nordgren racing and the Dainese, now it was time for a little change i thought haha :D Yeah get started, i want a "BATTLE FOR THE MEYER SUIT" lol

Thats why my latest paints for helmet and suit, S80, MSM125 and Varese are FINAL paints I and CDX will use this year. All other bikes are WIP

What is happening when you try to connect? Any messages? How long are you waiting for connection? What bikes have you got installed? Have you changed or installed anything besides the original GPB Beta 8 default install? What OS are you using?

It is very strange that you can connect with other servers besides Nicks..... I had this problem once and it took ages for me and Dibu to find out that it was caused because I'd unzipped the default track and bikes but the server had kept the default bike and tracks in PKZ format, but I thought this issue had been remedied by Piboso now?

All these questions could help someone to figure out what is happening there.  ;) :)

So I am really gonna struggle with this track so I thought I would find a vid I could watch that might give me some insight to the track and help me with feeling more comfortable on it. Found this and am posting it here as is to do with this race and also for Hawky as to up to date look of the track to help finish it visually. Its from 2015 so pretty up to date.

Yeah, DD.... I see exactly what you mean about the GPB Aragon track lacking the look and feel of the real circuit, especially with the lack of details, stands, hills, and mountainous backdrops, etc, etc.

I've just received another version of Aragon from Grooveski that I'll have a look at later after work, let's see what details that one has.  ;)

If completely and install new GPBikes Beta 8 twice.

I currently have installed the S80 and any circuit.

When I connect Connecting and puts me in a few seconds Connection Timeout .

No it may be happening .

Sorry Bob, it's the same model.  Does have a little more clutter but not much.
It's more of a technical advance than a visual one - the road edge welding is a bit further along - may save Hawk a few hours down the line.

Probably the reason that the pit straight looks bare is that the big covered grandstand in the original model was wrong(maybe planned but never built).  It's been deleted and not replaced by regular stands.  Isn't that big a job to drop a few stands in.

The preperation for the race weekend begins. The server will be locked down for official entrants, limited tyres in force until Qualifying tomorrow evening. People can still sign up until appx 18:00 CET Sunday.

Strictly NO CUTTING through the track to get to the back straight faster (to shorten the lap) and NO USE OF THE ESCAPE ROAD to the back straight is allowed AT ANY TIME in ANY SESSION.

Any chance in future that you only put the helmet paints in that are going to be used in the actual race? Just that there is a hell of a lot of helmet paints considering how many are taking part tonight. :-\

I'm not being picky, but personally I don't want the whole database of helmet paints stored on my system when 90% are hardly, if ever. used for race events.  :)

If people just kept the same helmet and suit you would not have to renew them and have 1000 copies of the same skin lol. Even bikes should be the same for each bike.


BUT this stops people having the choice. I think you do a fantastic job catering to our whims.

Everyone who has participated in a club race and has submitted a suit/helmet are in the pack each time. Mainly due to the fact that people don't always use a skin with their name in so im not sure who is using what.

Been trying to connect for 15min now, but i get stuck at "connected...", very weird and even more annyoing! :( thought i could just make it, but no :(

Was in now connection seems to be bad plus when I was on for qual. It was really laggy, after all the practice I need complete waste.

Just tested to connect to the motonline-fr 4 server Mugello and worked first attempt, seems that servers with many players is causing connection problems?

come back guys it takes a long while to connect but its ok

Well i have waited few min now and it just say "connected...", not sure how long more i should wait? internet is okay today but just can't connect..

Well, not that bad, I fucked that second race start , damn, first one was just fine,  ...and my steering just folded when i was behind Hawk  ::)

We did a few really fun laps fight Nick, enjoyed that.
I did my fastest lap on the last one, seems i need 48 laps race to warm up lol  ;D , even if i had to cut my fingers off after that  :P , they still hurt right now

Had a great time passing Grooveski and falling and repeating 4 times, lol. We had an awesome battle around the last corner too.

And another good fight with Warlock too especially around the last corner with DD in the middle hehe.

If I could just stop falling so much I would be 100% happy with my midfield performance  ::)

I am in frickin agony after that. My old spine injury really showed itself after lap 12 and by 14 I was going to give up but really wanted to finish so I did. I hope I did not bugger it up for any of you and sorry if I did. 24 laps was too much for my back, once I get used to it I hope it will be better. Nothing will stop me from trying as you guys really make it fun and worth the effort. Thank YOU ALL.
I only got to do 10 practice laps on this track with the 500 and my setup sucked donkey balls. I wish I had done more but was on a mission to make a video for you guys with a sneak peek at something coming soon.

This is key :P i got from 2nd to last all the way to 3rd in the first two corners, manual clutch with auto clutch makes the start :D

Replay file fail mates. 600Mb and only the last 2 minutes after the race finished. What a crock.

Happy to hear you guys had a great race! And big interest in this event i see! ;) to me it doesn't really matter if we do re-run or move on, as long as i can burn some fuel and rip some tyres i am up for just about anything! ;)

Sad i couldn't do this race as i see i had good QP setup and with little slower laps might also have had the pace to challenge for a podium place. But that's life! Racing 2strokes teach you this! (Few DNF and engine problems in Practice and QP too when racing the 125GP bikes real life), just means i have to come back stronger than ever for next one :D

Actually Nick, the file you posted is 10 MB (5 zipped), not 690 (and by the way, 10 MB or so is 2 minutes (I checked it), so 690 would be 2 hours like we expected!)

That brief scrap fair got my heart going.  I knew you were running faster but you'd already been passed and down once and the way I saw it it was your own fault that you were having to pass again...

Kinda pissed off at my own effort.  Before the race I thought I had that swoopy left hander about sussed but three identical lowsides later I'm not so sure.
At least if there's no replay I'll be saved the embarresment of folk seeing the fourth crash.  Thought from the sound that a group lapping me were closer than they were, left them room into turn 1 but no-one came through so like a numpty I looked back.
Note to self - Careering into turn 1 offline is no place to be looking behind you.
Sure it gave the others a giggle though.   ::)

On the plus side, I doubt my result would have been any higher had I stayed upright.  Was a long gap to Warlock by the end.
...and the first few laps went miraculously well.   :D

Interesting, thanks, it is 689Mb on the server but something must of happened in the transfer, zipping and Drop-boxing! Very strange never had these problems before but I will look into it tomorrow. Thx for spotting that!

Yeah... Well done Tommaso, it takes a lot of race management to not crash during a race especially a 24 lapper were your concentration can easily lapse in the mid to latter stages.... I love the long races... Bring em on!  ;D

@Nick: Since setting mine at 700MB I have not had any problem recording the replays, though I'm thinking of putting it up to 1000MB for these longer races, after all, some GP's are 32 laps I believe? I hope we can have a 32 lapper sometime when we have everybody trained up to do the longer races. I must admit, I was struggling with my concentration and battling severe front tyre wear in the latter stages.... Also had me breaking out in a sweat too(that's never happened before!). Hehe  ;D

But I had a good race. The dreaded 10th corner got me twice(I'm going to have to fix that) and I flipped the bike over when trying to look were I was on Max's dynamic map! Haha!!  ;D ;D
I thought Finpower had me in the latter stages after I crashed but I managed to catch him up again and very nearly followed him off the track on the tight 7th corner on the last lap(bad luck mate. Was it fatigue?), but we seemed to swap places on several occasions during the race... Nice one Fin, enjoyed those little battles!  ;) 8)

Congrats to Davide for the win and , Tommaso and nouvaic for the podium spots... Great racing and well done guys!  ;D 8)

The servers are great they have had to record 1.5Gb replays before with no problem but this time I think something has gone wrong with the transfer process to the forum lol. Tomorrow I will find out.

I think 24 laps was about the maximum for this fuel tank burning 0.85 litre/lap.  As I blew the engine (I went off track and over-revved on the grass coming back on) I didn't get to see how much fuel and tyres were left.

I also had stupid fall looking back and missing a wheelie that went skybound.

Grooveski - do you use the proximity radar? That is a great help to overcome the rubbish sound levels from other bikes. (MaxHUG)

That was supposed to be last week's addition and I regretted not getting around to it.  :(

I seem to remember we had a race were we had to manage the fuel because the race was that many laps that the tank couldn't hold enough fuel going flat-out all the time.... It added a great strategy element that I thought it was great!  ;D

WTF is with the inconsistency of recording in GPB now. It has never been like this before for me. Same with core because of buffer size, only in beta8!!!

It wasn't the bump that was getting me.

....that is, the bump got me any time I went near it so I'd taken to diving up the inside of it on the brakes then feathering through the rest of the corner.  Slow but felt safe.
At the feathering bit though my fairing was grinding the deck with a full tank.  In the early laps I took it real easy and it was fine but the very first time I thought I could push it a little....

It was with the Murasama, had to change engine mode to make sure you had enough fuel and manage the fuel with letting for earlier of throttle and stuff ;) was it the Monza race with Mura?? I recall someone winning after lags and game PC going to Desktop by just doing steady laps all race lol :D

Certainly was a hard track to do a long race on, a few areas on the track needed special care, but I know from practice that with other riders around you it's not always easy to get the line that keeps you out of trouble. Guess I got lucky in that respect, almost the entire race on me own, but still managed 3 crashes. Broke me joystick slamming it down in a fit after that last lap crash :-[.
I am Sorry for Toomes and Meyer also, kept seeing the connecting / disconnecting thing, it would have been good to see these 2 rockets in the mix.

Can we have an easier race next please ;)

Yeh I have lots of ideas but they usually get lost in translation, I remember no-one really understood the idea of fuel conservation using the different engine modes or by changing the drivetrain or by riding differently. Have to keep coming back to 'simple' stuff especially with the netcode and core problems.

All those ideas for the dynamic weather and track, 3 day events, endurance stuff, its all waiting behind the netcode and core fix.  ::)

I remember enjoying the fuel consumption race a lot! It was nice with a twist! And the Mura on Monza was great fun! :)

Well as i said earlier, i am up for pretty much anything, but rather something i am fast at, so i can get a good comeback after the last S80 races at Mantorp and now this haha :D

Peter it is the biggest problem I have, other bikes are so loud it confuses me, even with the radar as I look at it too late!!! I am getting used to it a bit more, but I just cant hear my own motor revs and it sounds like I am about to blow my motor so I back of a bit and all hell breaks loose because of it. I apologize to you and everyone for my rookieness, I am trying.

I will have to do some tests as suggested to me for other bike volumes, it would cure my shit!!!

I used to turn the volume of all other type bikes right down. The only problem is when, like on sunday, everyone else is using the same bike as you because then it doesn't make any difference under those circumstances. Lol
But it did work quit well in races where the bikes were mixed and few were using same bike as me.  ;D

I guess with this issue not being a physics issue it is somewhere down the bottom half of Pibs TODO list. In my opinion, either there is a heck of a lot of room for improvement on the sound system in GPB or it needs a total rebuild catering for what we need.

For the record I got the replay from the server working. something was lost in the zipping process rather than any other error so that's good.

680Mb uncompressed so if your replay value is set lower than this then it will probably cause a core on loading.
