I like Mugello, but until Piboso gets the issue with uphill/downhill and banked turns acting weird on the bikes handling sorted out then I'd prefer to stick with tracks that suit the current stage of development for sure.  :)

I got a race this Sunday anyway, probably won't be back in time, but if I am,  I'm in.

I don't recall having big problems last time we raced here at Mugello? I mean the duke race and the 2nd run with duke, Mura, Varese.

I mean yeah it looks a bit odd, but the bikes ride okay and there is not a lot of places where you would randomly just crash. There is A LOT worse tracks than this in my opinion

Indeed there are many worse tracks! And there are a lot of Guys who love this one.
Just not me. Maybe I will come to like it after a good race ;)

For me it's that first uphill banked corner(always riding on egg-shells there as the front is likely to wash away if your at full lean), and that banked corner leading to that corner that is banked and has quite a big rise in height that I dislike simply because the bike tends to want to break away on those corners, almost as if your rear is riding on oil patches... It's a weird feeling.  :)

Interesting use of gears also. Does inspire to go faster, for sure.
Manu has done an excellent job, as usual. But, I don't like the use of AW and TC on these bikes. Doesn't look or feel realistic at all.

But most importantly,  who was that idiot going the wrong way?

I saw a guy or two going the wrong way out of pit too, kindly asked people NOT to do that, but not sure if it have helped.

I don't get why, you only save about 1minute+1lap doing that and risk getting cold or grassy tyres anyways, so your screw up the first lap anyways. Just take the first lap as a banker, feel the bike and track and then come up with the hammer lap 2 :) IRL i am pretty sure Dorna would give you the black flag right away and a nice big fine :P

Server is being updated with the new bike V0.5  (http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=3362.0)(one file to be dropped in the NSR folder). Whitelists will be put in force now to encourage sign-up and to get an idea of racers performance. Limited Tyres.

Please dont forget to choose and use a bikeskin here http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=3400.msg56956#msg56956 and tell us which one you will be using. Dont forget to enter the server the first time with your skins selected (although there wil be another reset later tonight).

Nice laps! good to see we use same gears pretty much everywhere and same lines in EVERY corner :) I guess that is why we both can run pretty well with the same odd setups :P

1991 times were 1.53.3 (King Kenny) with Rossi at 1.53.8. so if you are going faster than that and crashing you are beyond the bikes limits  :P hehe

NOTE: RESTARTS will ONLY be given for JUMP STARTS up to a maximum of 3

AS USUAL NO OTHER RESTARTS WILL BE GIVEN - if there is a nasty crash or something dust yourself off and get back in the Race. It is a long race and the eyes of the world are watching. Try not to have a Rage-Quit-temper-tantrum or DORNA wont ever call you up for that MotoGP ride  ;).

Ah well too difficult for me I am afraid. I do not understand sometimes in the race I do not even recognise the bike I sit on. I had already done a full race distance run without any problems earlier today but this is no fun, in fact the opposite, very strange.  I pulled to pits with a 'mechanical' and watch and do admin things.

i was as smooth as possible, no steering input, ultra smooth throttle etc. no chance.

Just horrible race for me, first lap and everything was lost, was like i had grass on my tyres at the start and for the first corners..

Then everything just got worse the first few laps, got rammed from behind.

Few laps settled down and got into a 1.51 rhythm, then lost it all again, couldn't get the bike to ride like i wanted, crashed and after every crash, i for some reason, had no grip for next corner.

Then settled for a few laps at a time until the last few laps where i could get into a 1.50 high rhytm

Just horrible race for me. Not happy at all! knew i had the pace to run with Kerazo and maybe davide, but just wasn't my day.

Congrats to davide, nice pace dude, Kerazo and SuperT, well deserved :)

That was an awesome ride with Manu. Thanks to him. Shame that he lost the front. People that complain about crashes, hey I found a solution! Maybe it's too late but :P, I have 2 crashes for the whole race. One at the start that I made a great start but guy in front of me didn't and we crashed, second is, I attacked the bike in front of me while we are leaning and then (my stupidity) he came over me and I panicked and crashed. Maybe both were my mistake but the real thing is I was expecting crashing so much more than 2 times. And I crashed only 2 times because I NEVER fully leaned the bike and braked like 20m before my every break point. Maybe I got passed by a lot of guys but at the end I was on the podium. So I'm really happy about it. Bike was absolute garbage all the time and was not funny at all. I really wanted to give my 100 but I knew that I was gonna crash. That's not because of the modder of the bike but because the bike is really hard to control also in real life. Like it goes wherever it wants. Anyway mate that was really funny. Thanks to all. So SORRY for the audio, only managed to get it working at all 30mins before the race and left the mic down, sorry. I had more to say too, bummer lol.

TRACK CAMS SUCK BALLS!!!! Everytime a bike got to certain points on the track I got sent back to the pits, found out near the end if I was on the front wheel cam past the pits I was okay until half way round the track again lol, not lol. It ruined the start as it would not let me out of the pits for the start.

Streaming is getting better though lol.

There is still so much wrong in GPB replay system. I can only work with what there is.

EDIT: It made a big difference and it was a lot less stress on me knowing what rider was on what bike and there only being 2 the same in the end. I know what we need to make this all much better and need to do a decent write up to lay out some guide lines.

We are getting there a bit at a time lol.

great race! only 1 crash taking it super carefully (maybe a bit too much) because davide was catching over 10 secs on me ;D
with a full tank it became very hard not to crash and keep the focus, at the last laps pushing was definately possible.
feel sorry for Vin as he rode very good in the first laps but then crashed to a random lowslide.
congrats to everyone who finished this long and exhausting race, davide and superT for the win and podium and thanks to nick and DD for keeping this game alive  :)

@DD: Looks like you've got the quality of the pic sorted nicely mate, well done!  ;D 8)

Just a shame about the audio, but I'm sure you'll know what was happening there and sort it for the next race.... Looking forward to it!  ;D 8)

Streaming was very good, I can give some advice:

- More audio for in your mic
- Check the cameras before the race
- Dont hide the replay interface is very useful to see the lap number and the rider position
- Changes more often rider, sometimes there are good battles.
- Occasionally check the in game chat, so that we understand if something happened. (reset, engine blow...)

However beautiful job, the next time will be even better!  ;)

I know exactly why my audio was down. I had adjusted it as I had audio problems to day and it was when I unpluged my headphones it reset the volumes and I forgot to re do them. DOH!!!

To your advise:

Mic was a simple mistake but no one told me until near the end lol

Checked the cameras but you can not check RACE cameras until in a race, it is different for some reason.

Did not hide overlay but will as soon as we have a new interface lol.

I try to change riders but also the system LOCKS you in the pits for some reason or wont let you change riders at times???

I checked a few times in chat but it means it covers the WHOLE screen, looks shit and pisses the viewers off lol.

Good advise Blacky but it is Piboso who can fix most of the problems. I will make a full write up on this.

DD - When you pick up your own MMA (I recommend singles bars a speed dating venues) and have your dedicated GPBOC standalone server, you could get her to have the track Map up as another tool for finding the action while you stream.

Oh and don't forget to use the other camera sets.

Anyway despite a sh!te race I am pumped about the quality of that replay stream!  8)

I know exactly why my audio was down. I had adjusted it as I had audio problems to day and it was when I unpluged my headphones it reset the volumes and I forgot to re do them. DOH!!!

Agree with what you said about showing the chat window DD..... When I was watching the livestream replay and you were showing it I was saying "WTF!", "Take it off, quick!", "I want to see the racing not some dick chatting in the middle of a race telling me his engine has blown or apologising for knocking someone off! Lol! ;D

Now if as a side show we could see live video of riders in their seats getting an electric shock each time they fell off their bike then that would be FUNNY!!!  ;D ;D

I run to screens now but a third with track map and other info would be cool.
The big problem is if you click outside of the game screen it can interrupt streaming as GPB is a funny bitch. I want to be able to chat to those watching but cant right now out of GPB. I still think it would be good to have a Team Speak channel for those of us that want to be able to do so. IT could also mean multi commentators!!! Just like MotoGP etc.

As I said before I need to sit down and write a decent proposal for what is really needed to bring this fully to life.

Yeh nice one DD maybe the audio could come from TS with you as the lead commentator and others can pop in  - EG: maybe if you break your engine - pop in to TS to explain what happened and provide more commentary about the race and how your race went up to that point etc.

That would be ace. Maybe even someone might like to provide a 'live link' in the race so all the heavy breathing and swearing can be heard lol.

Yep, you hit the nail on the head and read my thoughts.

It would not just enhance live videos and the replays from them but the game itself and maybe help folks too. Good to know WHY something happened, BUT we dont need "I was coming into turn 10 and that fucking bastard  DD hit me up the ass I am going to bite his nutsack off motherfucker!!!!"...........that might not be so good lol...................would liven it up though lol

I will look into it as I think I can do something that works well for all.

Haha ok put a bleep machine on the shopping list.

As some others I quitted because the bike was terrible. Nothing to do with me being slow, the front just went way too often even at low speed and not at a great lean angle or when slightly touching the kerbs.
I do not mind being slow and falling when it is all me but I do mind it when it is the bike.

Still not mad at Manu tho  ;) great work I just hope the bike improves.

It was a WIP race test for feedback to the modder the same as we did for Blackheart and H.

I cringed when a new version was released on race day but it might of been a lot better - unfortunately it was not. That is still not to say it wasn't more realistic (the figures used) so good feedback.

So yes now he knows, it will improve that's the point  ;)

Yep! Now working 7:30am - 17:30pm monday to friday.. no more nightshift!! big smiles  ;D although its a demolition job so will be working away alot now.. hmmmm Laptop me thinks  8)
