The Car starter button will not work on any track other than victoria. I have tried assigning the button to a different control but that doesnt work.
I guess that you are talking about the starter of the FR3000 ?

Track modders must make sure to correctly mark the pit surface objects.
Some mod tracks don't use proper pit settings which makes the starter not working. Only work around is to use "Automatic Clutch" in driving aids settings.
There are tracks like Dijon Prenois V1.01HP, Paul Ricard "Legend" and some others which work properly.
