Release Notes
- a clean installation is strong recommended
- replays are not compatible with the previous versions

- when missing a checkpoint during a race, the lap time is now recorded but, in addition to the penalty to the race time, the lap is marked as invalid. This change forced an update of the plugins interface, to add the "invalid" flag to laps. It also means that an additional field is sent to the "LAP" string of the "LIVE" data.
- a new "mode" is now available manually editing the profile.ini file: http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=15.msg70886#msg70886
- the manual override of the automatic rider forward lean is now limited by speed
- it is now possible to limit the rider forward lean with speed, like it was in older betas: http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=15.msg70887#msg70887

Hi Piboso.

Beta 10 suit paints not showing in beta 11 Suit Paint selection list.

Beta 10 Helmet-Mods not showing in beta 11 Helmet selection list.

Beta 10 Helmet Paints not showing in beta 11 helmet paint selection list.

Is this a bug or do we need to update the Helmet-MODS and Suit paints? If so what changes are needed? Thanks.  :)

Okay, I got the helmet MOD and paints working, but I still can't get the riders suit paints working.... Anyone know the address of where to put the "riders/paints" folder to get the rider paints working? I seemed to have tried all sorts of combinations of address but no joy. Even tried renaming the paints folder to suit but still doesn't work.   :-\

brake wear and temperature systen on beta11?

and does Bike/Track modder need something to mods adapt to beta11?

Question: What happened to the seamless transmission? Some bikes really should have it. Is there a line of text modders need to add somewhere, to enable it?

Any ideas? Piboso?

Hello everybody.

A rider skin was displayed somehow.

Make a new folder in "GP Bikes \ gpbikes \ rider \ riders \ modern \ paints".
Put a .Pnt file in the "paints" folder.
Open "profile.ini" in the profiles folder and write the name of the .pnt file.

An example

[Suit_paint]
Modern = JJS 209 _ Allen _ Ness _ Mission _ v 1.0
Legends =

This will display the rider skin, but I do not think it is the right way.  :'(

@Piboso

So far there is only one issue:

1) Setting of rider leathers need to work correctly again, without messing with the profile ini in the "Piboso" folder (thanks Saemon).

Thankfully, that's all beta11a needs. The rest of Beta11 is a significant improvement over beta10c. :)

EDIT: Please ignore what I said about the seemless transmissions. I said that stuff without testing all the bikes.

@Piboso: I seem to remember from your daily dev that you fixed something with the tyre simulation? Could you elaborate on what exactly that was because there is no mention of it in your change log for beta 11?

I was hoping it was to do with fixing the issues when creating narrow tyre models(they are very unstable)?

Thanks.  :)

Hawk.

It turns out the transmissions are perfect the way they are! Beta11 is very nice. The under-steer issue has also been improved a lot.

Just so everyone knows: Here is the solution to being able to select your suit paints

Place your suit paints in "GP Bikes\gpbikes\rider\riders\modern\paints"

Then navigate to your "C:\Users\UserName\Documents\PiBoSo\GP Bikes\profiles\profile.ini", and copy-pase the name of your desired suit paint into the "[Suit_paint]" section, like this:

[Suit_paint]
Modern = [name of suit paint]
Legends =

Thanks go to "Saemon No Jyo" for the profile.ini tip.

I always happen to be out of the country when a new beta releases, this has to be fixed  ;D

As i cannot play, can some of you post your findings on the new version? How are the physics, less cores and did the network stability improve?

Physics is much improved. I'd say beta11 is to beta10, what beta8 was to beta7. Beta11 does certain things very well. In particular, the motorcycle feels more natural when being flicked left and right, and the under-steer issue which has plagued GP Bikes for a while has seen a dramatic improvement. The motorycle also feels more natural at high corner speeds, and the ability to increase input linearity to over 100% has had a great impact on throttle feel. I'd say clutch deadzone set to 13%, and both throttle and clutch input linearity set to 150% (throttle deadzone 0%) makes things feel much better. Beta11 is something very well done.

Phisics imho is the same of the b10 (so very good), just added support at other susps, instead for the multiplayer improvements need make same races online for test it (anyway atm never see a core in game).  The new rider style and model are a good thing for modders.

Hi. I really like the B11 so far, love the new 1P view :)

Test on Bike: Varese, track Victoria.

1)I just note that the hands positions are fixed. If you do a wheelie and turn the steer, you can see that the handlebars are turning but the hands/arms are independent from the bars. It is notable when you turn at low speed and when you get a whooble.
2)Also, the hands are out of the bars.
3)The chain is not integrated with the bike.
In debug mode:
4)the suspension data gets 0.00 in Hz, fast and low speed when you do a wheelie, gets the gear change rpm or the bike is fall.
5)Is the porcentage in the low/rigth of the screen the engine damage?

If you talk about the front suspension, is it not normal that it have no variation/vibration when you do a wheelie ??

Edit : Speaking of core.exe. I just had this on the GPBOC04, We were riding, and suddenly

I think it has been mentioned before in other betas but there are some bugs with wet & mixed conditions. The temperature of the tyre in mixed conditions is much higher than using the same tyres in full wet (of course) but also higher than using the tyres in dry conditions.

Basically, with 50%wet you cannot use any tyre compound,  slicks have no grip and wet tyre are overheated before finish the first lap.

Also, there is a bug when you crash in mixed/wet conditions and the bike goes crazy, you can see what I mean at the very end of the video.

sorry for the long video, but is better to see what I mean because my explanations are crap hahaha.
