i often create or join a server and wait for somebody else to join but often times i miss it because i do other stuff in the meantime.
so a very simple notification like this would be helpful for improving the multiplayer.

But yeah, I think you'd need more than just a blinking icon to get your attention if you were busy doing other things while waiting for others to join the server, don't you? Lol! :P ;)
You could animate the taskbar icon with a counter, or a progress bar showing track pit lane capacity

Vin means when he is in a server but afk / tabbed out, maybe watching a video. I also do that quite often so if the gpbikes icon would blink when someone joins than would be good so we can go back into the game and have ah look who joined ;)

I think the problem would be that to be useful for people that are away from their PC you would need a client connection sound that could be clearly heard away from your PC on each client connection made.... Trouble with that would be for those that are in server riding it would be a right pain in the ass hearing a client connection sound each time someone joined.... It would be as bad as all the chat traffic popping up during a race! So unless Piboso could stop the connection sound for those that are already on track then this idea would be more frustrating than useful for those already connected and riding? :)

I know that this feature has been implemented but IMO it doesn't really work because you still have to manually check the icon, so you can still easily forget about it.
It would be really helpful if the icon would actually start blinking.
