Title: MotoGP GoPro?
Post by: Ryanoh4 on October 03, 2017, 04:42:53 PM
Anyone have any idea why MotoGP hasn't implemented something like this, I for one would love to watch a race back or see footage from a GoPro angle on the helmet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhkshoKGEdI

They do.

Just spend £150 a year to get Moto GP season pass :P

I don't think they have helmet cams, only the regular onboards mounted on the bike.

Ahh

No that would be to dangerous for the riders probably during the race. That footage is from the practice session.

You could put a camera into the helmet, but that would need some changes with the helmet, a unique helmet. It is possible, BUT you need much technique in the helmet and that makes the helmt very heavy. This is just not what you want to do and you can not say, how a internal helmet cam would behave under a crash. I like the idea, but I don't think it is possible  :-\
