Juju i noticed something when watching replays from a certain distance, if you zoom in with free or orbit camera it is not there anymore.
Have a look at the pictures, looks like a broken chain floating through the air  ;D Dont know if its a model thing or a GPB thing.

I get that with a lot of bikes on monzabike 1.1, you should have a look at the Honda rc213v and the cbr1000 as well.
I almost think it´s the track. Peter.  :-\

I noticed when I was on the bike in helmet view my paint job always seem to be light blue even though I wasn't running with that color paint. Seems like no matter what my paint is when I am on the bike it is light baby blue.

This is normal, you need to make another texture carrying a different name.
I have not given this texture.

Texture GSVR cockpit view : https://mega.co.nz/#!Jo8BxCKY!ZbcamifhxjcC4p3fK5btu3yILl0erd38ZPsdFFnYJDM (https://mega.co.nz/#!Jo8BxCKY!ZbcamifhxjcC4p3fK5btu3yILl0erd38ZPsdFFnYJDM)

It's a sound rip from another game ?
The engine.scl isn't good, but the sound is good :)

Have you planned to change it ?
Title: Re: [BIKE] Suzuki GSVR
Post by: JamoZ on January 23, 2014, 09:07:15 AM
EDIT[HornetMaX]: boss is not happy when we rip stuff from other games, I've removed the game name.

The sounds are from *****, of course i`ve changed them a bit. What`s wrong with the engine file? I`m not an expert so i just copied warlocks engine file and changed the volume levels a bit.
I don`t plan the change it as i just wanted a different sound for the bike which i accomplished. Feel free to edit or change the sounds ;)

Unfortunately creating a new sound is not as easy as taking an existing sound and replacing the .wav files.
Also, I can hear some sort of overlapping sounds in some samples (offhigh, offlow, onhigh ...).

Tip for comparing sounds easily:
Probably easier than swapping files (and does not overwrite the original files).

fyi, it`s not ripping when the game is open for modding...
The files are unencrypted and usable for anyone to do as they please...

I tested the sound and could be a good basis for the sound of crossplane R1 or M1.

I`m sorry, i fucked up the sound ;)

I forgot to include the engine file i used with it, so you guys are not having the sound i`m having.
I will create a new thread with the correct files and a preview video so you can hear the difference :)

And Davide is right, i was thinking about using this sound for the M1, but Stout was working on that so i`ll let him do that :D

thnx buddy ;) but use the sound for M1 if it fits it - people are gonna use the sound the way they want anyway... so make a M1 sound out of it if you want... I will try to do an M1 sound from a different source also - if I am able to do one (I am not even sure I will get a decent sound done anyway ;) ), people can use whichever sound they prefer ...

PS: if you want to have an excel sheet that calculates the engine.scl automatically send me a pm ;) I built myself one to make testing easier - you only need rpms that sounds were recorded at.

I have no clue about how all that stuff works. If someone could make some kind of tutorial, and if we had a seperate sound modding section it woulp help alot for anyone to experiment with sounds. Maybe we could also create a shared sound samples database?

Food for thought...

That's extremely arguable and I'm almost sure it's not the case: I doubt very much that you can take material from game X to do stuff in game Y, even if game X is "open for modding".
"Open for modding" may mean that you can reuse the creative content IN the game, but not outside it and for sure not for a (competitor's) game.

If the content has been created by a user (and not by the company that has created game X) then you'll have to ask permission to that user (or to read his license terms, if he's taken the time to write them).

I know, life sucks ...

Well, what about the content that clearly ripped from other games? Most of our bikes & tracks are ripped or converted. Never heard anyone say anything about that.
As soon as a bike gets released its halleluya bonanza, and noone questions where the base content came from...

At the price of going a bit (more) off topic here, let me clarify the position on the subject:
Concerning sounds, the sounds in GPB are all encrypted because created for GPB by an independent sound engineer: this alone should make Piboso's position on the subject clear.

I personally have no particular problem with you using sounds from another game, just don't mention the game name and/or the tools you used (if any) on the forum. Don't make it super-clear that you ripped stuff. This way I don't know, Piboso doesn't know and we are all peace and love, make wheelies not war etc etc.

Only 4 moto5 tracks are not allowed, It why he fell out with Nak for not asking permission. He had a list of tracks with permission he could convert from modders on Nogrip fourm, this is where I got permission to make Folembray. Whithams tracks are all good to use and mention on the fourm as is my little Folembray....Naks...well..sshhhrrss.   Some of his tracks suck ball's but he never ripped peoples work off.

Hi JamoZ.
I think the engine sound on the Suzuki GSVR is set at too high a volume. Do any other guys think this also?

Compared to other bikes engine volume the GSVR must be approx half the volume again; it just seems odd and very distracting when a GSVR is on the grid or coming up behind you. Wouldn't be so bad if we had a ambient engine sound control slider to adjust it ourselves but as things are at the moment with engine noise drowning even from other bikes engines, the GSVR engine volume is set too high don't you think?

Just compare the volume of the GSVR engine noise on a replay with other bikes engine noise and you see what I mean. :)

Yes, you`re right. I told warlock this in the beginning, but he`s stubborn and didn`t care :P I have my volume ingame on 3 with every other bike..but withe the GSVR i have to set it to 2 or else i`ll go deaf..
