Thanks, but there are NO tyre files for the bikes which are needed in beta12b?

DD

EDIT: Tried them and guess you use moto3 tyres as they all work. Great work J thankyou as this is a great fun set.

Don't know what's going on but I get core.exe every time I select the bike category. I have extracted each folder bike and tire to the respective folder.

Hello julien113.

I appreciate your work.

The bike's .cfg file contains an error.
It is designed to load the tire file of another MOD.

For example, if you rewrite Moto3_2017_Honda NSF RW.cfg as follows, the game will not crash.

tyres
{
id = Dunlop_Moto3_17
}

Other bikes have the same problem.

Goodbye.

Tried modifying the Moto3_2017_Ktm.cfg file and it's still crashing...

Tried to following:

{
   id = Dunlop_Moto3_17
}

and also tried this config:

{
   id = Dunlop_Moto3_17
   data = Dunlop_Moto3_17.cfg
}

Track was the Autodrom Most NDS.

Any ideias?

I have no problem with this set so I would say uninstall it, download again and then install it.

Hello TheFREAK.

Did you put the "Dunlop_Moto3_17" folder in the tyres folder of GP Bikes?
Is this a hierarchy like this?

\GP Bikes\gpbikes\tyres\Dunlop_Moto 3 _ 17

Hello doubledragoncc.

Do you run with only this mod installed without other mods?

tyres
{
id = Dunlop M3
data = Dunlop M3.cfg
}

With the notation above, "Dunlop M3.pkz" file of "CAWS Mod Team Moto 3" will be loaded.
So if the "CAWS Mod Team Moto 3" is installed, the game will not crash.

I'm sorry not to speak ENGLISH fluently.

Re-downloaded the bikes, tyres and paints... Still not working...  :(

I've also tested the other bikes categories and found out that the following are also not working:
- GP 250 (crashes as soon as I select it)
- Moto 3 (crashes after I leave the pit)
- Moto 3 2017 (crashes after I leave the pit)
- Minitwin (crashes after I leave the pit)

Re-downloaded tyres and bikes from the FTP server (using SyncBackFree) and still crashing...

Any ideas?

PS: I do not have the LAA flag applied but I'm not sure if this would help here since it's not related to memory used, i think (using Jerez 0.9 NDS for these tests).

On most new mod bikes and tracks LAA is a MUST!!!

Never say never m8

USE LAA and see OR maybe your GPB install needs to be done again happens quite a bit

Best thing is get ALL mods and use LAA

May also depend how you set up for mod files on your system

Thanks DD... I have every single mod installed (at least every one I could find) and LAA has been applied... Still issues with those 4 categories...
I have everything unpacked (not using the .pkz files) under the proper file structure.

Will try to re-install everything from scratch...  ::)

Something has to be off with this mod. I've installed it in two computers at this point and it crashes on both. Reinstalled GPB clean and everything... This isn't happening with any other mods. Get a core exe right after selecting the Moto 3 2017 bike category.  :o

The tyres cant be installed properly (not saying you havent installed them properly)

Could you take a screenshot of your tyre folder (the whole thing) and the bikes folder.

Do you have this issue with any ither bikes/catagories

On a few of the tracks the sun glare on the Honda NSF250RW is horrendous, it makes seeing where one is going nigh unto impossible. Sendai, Portimao, and Silverstone seem to be the worst.

Would tinting the screen help?

Edit: I tried tinting the screen and all it did was make it opaque. Is there anything else I can do to alleviate the sun glare?

The reflections/shininess are part of the shader that is applied when the model is compiled to .edf so you would need the original 3d files.

Title: Re: 2017 Moto3 New Bikes

Yup. LAA hack is applied to Core.exe. This is the only mod I have this issue with. I actually just installed the Red Bull Rookies Cup and the Street GXSR 1000 both load and work.  :'(

I also Installed it on my laptop... Same issue.

Yes sir, installed it on both completely different systems... Both get core.exe when selecting bike category. No other mods present this issue. I mentioned this earlier.  :-\

You've cracked it Matty!
The moto3 2017 tyre files cause a crash.
If the Moto3 tyres are also installed, it doesnt crash.
The moto3 2017 are not needed.
Title: Re: 2017 Moto3 New Bikes
Post by: Tosteetos on January 14, 2018, 03:19:25 PM
Something with the tyres is definitely the issue. I was able to do testing now, with no core.exe but get a bike mismatch trying to join the servers online.

Also, with this last tyre file, there is no front tyre on the KTM model.

glad we are getting closer to a fix :)
Title: Re: 2017 Moto3 New Bikes
Post by: matty0l215 on January 14, 2018, 03:23:22 PM
It appears that the bike have linked to the wrong tyre files. The link above is for the CAWS Tyres not the Tyres provided by Julian. As described above (more fool me for not reading the whole thread otherwise this would have been sorted a while back :P)

I will update the bikes in the BikeMOD accordingly :)

The moto3 2017 tyre files cause a crash.
If the Moto3 tyres are also installed, it doesnt crash.
The moto3 2017 are not needed.

I have the following installed locally and on the server.

tyres\Dunlop M3.pkz - Dated 11.12.2017
tyres\Dunlop_Moto3_17.pkz - Dated 11.12.2017
tyres\Dunlop_Moto3_17\*.* - Dated 12.18.2017

Don't know how or why, but, it's is what is there. In comparing the files between the directory and the *.pkz file they seem to be identical.

Tried eliminating the Dunlop M3.pkz file and it caused a core.exe immediately.

Tried eliminating the *17 file and directory and it started up just fine.

I am uploading new bike files.

YOu will need to delete any old Moto 3 2017 bikes and the Dunlop_Moto3_17.pkz file and then re-download them from the BikeMOD.

The FTP has already been updated just waiting for the MEGA links.

I have had no issues whatsoever. I had to create a '\bikes' directory in 'gpbikes' in order to see the mods since the supplied bikes are in the *.pkz file [also created \tyres, \stands, and \track directories]. I did have to recreate my bike setups.
