It's been 24 hours since I was informed of this Beta and coming here form the dark with no knowledge was a little... Interesting.
Trying the demo and understanding it was such a small snippit of what was to come and taking the risk to back the devs, has proved well worth it so far.
The community is bigger than I expected and seems to reply within minutes and is always there for help. Even with all my bitching and moaning.
The BETA runs smooth as silk and the physics are incredibly rewarding. My first 40 or 50 laps on here have all ended in huge disaster so it's even more rewarding to be able to put in lap after lap.
A few things I wish I knew before coming in:
1 - Download LAA, without it, the game crashed with more than just a few mods installed (Made me think it was something I was doing wrong). Works perfect now.
2 - Turns out you have to install tyres with the bikes! When downloading a MotoGP17 bike, make sure to match it by downloading the MotoGP tyre set. SB17, SB17 tyres, etc etc.
3 - A new leather set can be downloaded from the bikes section (Modern Type 1 and modern Type 2).
4 - Turn all the assisted help off with some of the modded bikes. When I first tried, the right hand was going mental on all downloaded bikes. Turns out it was something in the assists.
5 - Don't give up. It's simply so rewarding!
6 - When downloading leather skins, you may have to create a "paints" folder within the leathers section. I.E Riders / Modern / Paints.
Apart from that, happy hunting!
I just wish I could find my helmet design from iRacing to import into here =( That union jack poppy skin was amazing...
Welcome aboard, Bambi! ;D 8)
