Oh!   Hubba-Hubba!
;D

Refuse to be drawn in right now - race this weekend and am kinda on a roll in SpeedTree...
...and time just disappears at nordy.   :P
...but I know I still have a million miles to do round here, so the update's much appreciated.    ;)

Unfortunately I keep getting that syncing feeling that it'll core. Then it does :(
The other version worked fine.

Thanks for the report, this version has the 3D grass on the verges and it does add a lot.

I will compile a version without the extra geometry to compare memory usage - i think we may be bouncing on the 4GB limit depending on systems :-(

Not sure what GPB does with memory;

Track loaded in game with Club350 is 2GB - a bit more is required during initial loading but it really should be OK

yeah same here I got cores too :-(

Just curious, but is anyone with problems using a 32bit o/s ? It appears that without a bit more tinkering 32 bit o/s is stuck at 2GB even with LAA enabled

No, 64 bit for me.
However, after the loading core I mentioned, I  had a curious fiddle with the 1050 gpu tweak settings and couldn't even load gp bikes itself without a core. Was ok when I put it back, but still can't load the track. Weird

I use 64bit Windows 10 too. Up to this update didn't have any problems with GP Bikes

Added link to a modified .map file that reduces file size.

Thank you 😊 I will check tommorow if it works

That's done it!  FPS between 80 -135 on the first few miles I tried.

One other thing though, not sure if it was present before, but between 15-25 mph, the bike and scenery shakes a bit. Is that the flickering you are talking about?

Going for a tour to fully appreciate your efforts. Thanks!

This track has a laserscan surface so you may need to soften the suspension to allow for the bumps and ripples.

Thanks for the report, wish PB would fix the procedural grass then all the extra geometry would be unnecessary.

What view mode are u using?

In case u using view mode=1 (which is the best one in my opinion) happens in all tracks even victoria, some tracks more than others but still there.

Yes mode 1. Although not noticed it on any other track, unless it is just too mild for me to notice.
But certainly on this track it looks / feels like yur eyeballs want to bounce out of your head!

Just tried in 3rd person and it's not present, so obviously just a first person view problem. I only ride in first person so will have to leave this track for now.
Thanks for clarifying the problem.

Weird, I ride 100% 1P with head tracking/helmet cam and not had any problems

but you have view mode=1 set in ....\Documents\PiBoSo\GP Bikes\profiles\youreprofilename.ini  or you use the default 1p view ?

Just defaults, to be honest I have never had any issues with 1P view - maybe its something to do with the edtracker setup?

Nothing to do with edtracker nor The default 1st P view , thats fine.  (i also use edtracker)

Is the optional helmet view that has that problem. The default helmet view feels fixed to the bike (not the second 1p view which is the tank view) and moves too much when the bike is bouncing due extreme forces, also transmites every bump to the head view.
The optional view (mode=1 in profile.ini) feels way more natural , it dampers that bouncing with the bike, like the rider body does in real life. Even when wheeling the view keeps looking to the track, not the sky. But it has that bit annoying problem Syd has.
I also had it, ...remember when you were doing the first version of the track? i thought was a problem with my pc (new laptop in that case) and went mad trying to know what was the problem.
It does it in every track in some extent , but Nords is the worst one. Not your fault of course, is a problem of the optional view that i guess it depends of the track surface.

Try to change it in your .ini file and ride very slow, you will see yourself.

All the large tracks require the LAA modification to core.exe to enable sufficient memory allocation
