Ouch, the chicane at johor is almost unridable...you need a very unusual line to get trough there without falling over..

Johor is very rideable, JamoZ. About same surface quality as Paul Ricard, in fact probably a little better. ;)

I disagree hawk. The chicane in the middle of the track has aweird bumpy part on the ideal line. You can`t take it normally or fast without falling over. I love the track, but that part is just something that puts me off...

Is that the fast chicane? Or the two 90 deg bends? I know there is a bumpy part on the 2nd of the two bends but they are slow corners so not too bad; as for the pretty fast chicane it's okay for me, maybe I take a different line. I'll have to try a different line see if I can find any bumps your talking about :)
I'm afraid bumps that some of the bikes can't take are par for the course as they say at the  moment until either the track surfaces are sorted, or the physics of the bikes. Which one it really is I'm not sure? Or could be a combination of the two?

If you're using the last one provided by RBp, chances are the track is not yet registered. Right ?

Yes, I'm using the latest online server version of Johor updated by Rbp. How long does it take to register an improved updated track once published to the community?

Until the track author does it :)

I guess RBp wanted to have some feedback on the tracks before registering a new version.

To me, he can do it right now. Stats will be reset when the new version is registered.

BTW, if "Brno GP" is just the new (smoothed and with surface) version of the old "Brno", we should get rid of one (i.e. register "Brno GP" as "Brno").
No point in having them both. However, I'm not sure we can "remove" one track from the stats.

MaX.
Title: Re: OldSchool Race Johor

Stats already got reseted there were a few Members listed when I took a look at the stats 2 days ago. Yesterday I went online with PeterV and did a couple of laps.

Now it is just us 2 and Hawk on the stats page. My guess is that he already registered the new Track Yesterday but the "old" version was still accepted and recorded our times. The 1:33 from Hawk not counting may just be the "known" bug where the server won't record your times until you reconnect.

LoL same here, I am glad I didn't kick you out!! Was a very demanding race but def. worth it!

I want to thank all my sponsors that made it possible for me to participate...Mum, Dad, the host Dibu and of course the promoter PeterV. Thanks to the guys from the competition for pushing me to my limits and almost killing me via. heart attack. But of course with out the support of my loyal fans I wouldn't have found the courage to go out there tonight and give it my all!

congrats to all, it is nice to hear how competitive you guys on front were :) nice racing obviously!

for me two points ruined what could have been a great race (2,5 laps battling with Arvoss proved it)
1) Malve rammed me like I wasn't even there in first corner..... an error can always happen, no doubt..... BUT if you want to race you need to know how to balance your risks - so please read this: http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=609.0  (and btw, Malve.... if I ruined s.o.'s race, I would aplogize)

2) for some reason one lap wasnt counted for me.... dunno why that happened, I definitely didnt cut - strange since that never happened before  :-\

I want to thank all my sponsors that made it possible for me to participate...Mum, Dad, the host Dibu and of course the promoter PeterV. Thanks to the guys from the competition for pushing me to my limits and almost killing me via. heart attack. But of course with out the support of my loyal fans I wouldn't have found the courage to go out there tonight and give it my all!
;D, you forgot to thank god for creating the earth and blessing you with the talent to race online  :P.

2) for some reason one lap wasnt counted for me.... dunno why that happened, I definitely didnt cut - strange since that never happened before  :-\

This happens when youre a lap behind, i was 1 behind and it showed 14 laps at my results as did yours. John had -8 laps so his showed 7 laps done.

Good, that will make you appreciate it even more now that you're sure  ;)

P.S. i had some decent laptimes as well, its just that those laps where i fell increased the average a bit   :P

Lol yeah I am now super duper Happy!

Yeah your laptimes were very fast too, without the falling might even faster than me. But after Seeing you today in Qualy and Practice I knew you were the man to beat!
Thats why I was so shaky at the beginning of the race, because I knew there is some fast guy at my back pushing^^
Title: Re: OldSchool Race Johor

And I knew those few tenths in practice and quali do not mean a thing when the race starts, so i was also feeling the pressure to say the least. I find those first laps always the most difficult because the bike is heavier, tyres are cold and i have to find my rythm. Battling with you did not make it any easier and trying to avoid a crash but keeping pace is so hard it amazes me we survived the first 3 laps at all. We were both giving each other as much space as possible but with Lorix coming closer because of that just stressed me even more. You can drive 10 fast laps but if you fall off once they have all been for nothing, and i think i've done a pretty good job demonstrating that  ;D

Just seen the results.... I notice that Klax, my team mate, is classified as DNS(Did Not Start)? I did notice he wasn't on the grid, but I'm pretty sure I definitely passed him on the track twice while racing? How can that be if he did not start? Unless I'm seeing things... I'm worried now. Hehe ;D

You're seeing things mate  ;D
Klax didn't participate in the race session because of his internet connection giving him a hard time (high ping, delay when a session finishes)

Couldn't do the race. I got stuck in where qualifying never ends. And I see you guys moving on but it never gives me a sighting lap or warm up lap. So I just left the server. :/
that is a youre higher ping acting up (average for us around 50-60) yours is around 135-145 . Hope that it gets sorted  :-X

During the rookies cup race i didn't have any problem. I saw a lot of guys logging on and off during the session.  Or call for a vote at the end of each session to make sure it's more synced for each rider.

congrats to all, it is nice to hear how competitive you guys on front were :) nice racing obviously!

for me two points ruined what could have been a great race (2,5 laps battling with Arvoss proved it)
1) Malve rammed me like I wasn't even there in first corner..... an error can always happen, no doubt..... BUT if you want to race you need to know how to balance your risks - so please read this: http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=609.0  (and btw, Malve.... if I ruined s.o.'s race, I would aplogize)

2) for some reason one lap wasnt counted for me.... dunno why that happened, I definitely didnt cut - strange since that never happened before  :-\

ok, emotions run wild after a race :) after watching the replay, I have to opologize - it wasn't Malve, it was Hawk who rammed me... sorry Malve!
and I saw it was not really ramming Hawk - you just braked too hard and fell and your bike slid into my bike Hawk - so no hard feelings on my side - stuff like that can always happen....  ;)

No Peter has not, but Dibu has ;D, at our GPBikes Dropbox adres. (see below)
(you can always go there after a race, all results are saved there, replays are uploaded there on request.)

Okay to set you're mind at ease, we had that before with klax in the Cota race, when we where racing and he was still in qualifying/sightgninglap. Everytime i passed (and probably others as well) the finishline i saw klax standing there.

So no lunnybin for you Hawk its down to session lag (sessions runs behind).

Hi Stout.

At the time I didn't know who it was who I knocked off, but having read your post here and just watched the replay I realised it must have been you... I'm really sorry about knocking you off on that first corner... All I can say is that I was having big problems with my FPS rate, it was way down to between 10 - 12 fps while I was in the pack at the start and I missed my braking point badly going into that first corner; actually in the panic my bike flipped over before the corner and I could see my bike skidding across the track towards your back end and I was praying it would just miss you but obviously it did clip your back end as my bike skidded across the track through the corner, I do apologise about that Stout.

Thanks for the no hard feelings mate, appreciate your understanding.  ;) :)

Hey Hawk,

yesterday in the race I just had the perception s.o. had just run into me with 150km/h... today in the replay I saw it was just a normal accident where you missed your braking point and the bike freakily flipped into me.... I am the one who has to opologize - so, sorry Hawk (and initially Malve) for being mad - stuff like that can always happen... I myself kicked people in races (hello Desteban... ringing any bells :P)

So case closed. And I will keep my mouth shut next time until I KNOW s.o. really hit me with gross negligence ;)

Yeah its your bad luck most of us are from europe and do not have those kind of connection issues. It is not without reason most games group the online servers broadly on region.
