Title: Windows MR and rider lean?
Post by: GabenHood on June 13, 2019, 08:30:39 AM
I decided to give the new demo a try with VR. (much better bike btw)

However I can't seem to ride with direct steering 2 because I can't lean to balance the bike.

Is this feature not enable on windows mixed reality headsets or am I missing something.

I have seen youtube videos that make direct steer look easy but I can't even get out of pit lane.  :o

I presume your talking about the Direct Steer with Torque(DST) setting here? Very hardcore way of controlling GPBikes and really needs a specialist bike controller although Klax mastered it with a game-pad to a great extent with a lot of dedication and practice.

It's all about practice, practice mate.  :)

Alternatively, just use the normal game controls, a lot easier, but still needs practice and talent to be good. ;)

the rider lean works but is 1/1 scale so you really need to lean far from your chair to see it, also make sur to check rider lean vr in option. you can reduce the scale by changing the "linearity" option in controller option page

Nah it genuinely doesn't appear to be working. Bike will fall over even if I get off the chair in opposite direction and riders head/arms can be clipped through as they stay stationary.

Because WMR use inside out tracking, when it looses tracking, only the rotation tracking work until it recover the tracking, sometime it never recover until you re-configure it iny Windows mixed reality portal. Anyway i found it very hard to use DST 2 with VR .... i use G29 wheel
