Title: Rear suspension rocker/rod suggestion
Post by: matty0l215 on January 16, 2020, 12:04:51 AM
I've seen that there has been an update to the rear suspension on the daily Dev log and hurt had a though

When using a complex linkage like with the rocker and rod. Could the rocker and rod of the rear suspension geometry be set as a measurement  so that the points in BikeED be locked to one another then allow the points to be manipulated into position. Legnths and dimensions for these parts are easily available so it would be much easier to just enter the values and then place.

Also it may be useful to have a guide as to how the piviot points are actually linked to one another (the chassis-rocker-rod link is shown, however it would be nice to have the whole rocker as one guide. The rod as another)

Unless these are the updates mention in which case ignore this post entirely ;D

The changes in progress to BikeEd are going exactly in this direction.

Excellent!

Could I be a pain in the arse and ask for the units to be in MM and not Meters?

And to have the Suspension type in a drop down menu?

Thanks for the update :D
