Well Bob,as you saw earlier, Alone won his first race for a year with best laps in the 1.40s, Loopatelli also in the same region. 2 really good riders. But I suspect even quicker times will follow soon. My best is similar to yours, we are a bit off their pace right now, but practice will improve that for us both.
Don't worry, you won't be in the way, ever. It is easy enough for the best riders to pass slower riders, as long as they don't panic and pick weird lines!

Talking about pace, i`ve dropped into the 1.39`s with room for improvement. I expect the top 3 to run about that pace for qualifying, maybe dip into the mid 1.38`s. Racepace will most likely be around the 1.40/41`s.
But don`t mind me, i`m not racing :P

Did not get below 45 yesterday but MagnyCours is not me favourite track ;)
Don´t know how someone can drive below 40 on that circuit.
The most annoying point is the gearbox on that bike.....not able to shift at full throttle...it´s against my riding style.

Took about 30min...than i was able to join.
Did a race with BOB and after the finish line the game crashed with a core.exe while i was writing in the chat with him.

As I understand the situation from past posts soon after Beta4 was released, their is a slight problem with the gearbox shifter when manual changing. Try setting "Shift Help" in the simulation settings until Piboso has sorted it. Keep manual gear change also.... The "Shift Help" will just help when changing gear. I think it's main use is for riders who don't want to use the clutch to change gears, but it really helps to change gears whenever you want to. ;)
I think I'll also start this time. Maybe there will be better for me than previously on Aragon.

Not sure that is good for me. I'm in the U.S. and the races start around 3:30 pm, and would probably have family over.

Thanks Hawk, but it depends on the dates. My race season starts that weekend and there are sure to follow some more races so it is a matter of the dates :P

It switches on and the fans work but that is it! Nothing! Also it wont turn off with the button.. ?

That sucks... Can you start your pc in safe mode?
Could be plenty of things.
Some motherboards do have some led/display onboard to show error codes, you'll have to lok at your motherboard manual.
If you can swap the graphic card give it a try.
If your CPU has an integrated GPU, try without the graphic card.
You could also remove the RAM (leave only one module and swap it).

Depend show bad the ram issue is. But indeed it could also be an hdd/ssd issue: you could try to boot from a CD/DVD/USB stick.
But I'm under the impression it doesn't even reach the boot stage ...

No it doesnt reach the boot stage.. Monitor light flashes on/off. Tried a different monitor but its the same..

No :P I don't know if a lot of guys will be able to reach a sub 40 lap time, especially in a race. My best is 40.8 atm but I don't really like the 500cc :P I'll try again today and hope I can beat my pb ;)
I am experiencing major errors in my timing on the old school magny cours track.
These are the problems i encounter within an hour of playtime:
-sometimes i feel like driving the fastest lap ever and the lap time says something in the 3 minutes
- the lap time doesn't register for 1 lap
- it registers as if I am 40 sec under my best time (counting down every second) until i am half over the track and then it returns to normal
I have to note here that I am not cutting the track anywhere... staying between the lines here.
On Magny there was an issue with the finish line, crossing it to the very right of the track was giving non cross at all. I'm not sure if it has been solved or not (the finish line described in the .rdf file was too short on the right side).
But it could also be the server going nuts: a server restart typically fixes it (for a while at least).

Yeah did that too, now I try to make a little detour and be close to the grid when I pass the finish line. Hadn't had a problem since then.

If im correct magny is a track made by Noss, if he could fix that that would be great.
On the same note he could as easily alter the pit entry and exit as well, it does not lift the penalties which you get after cutting.
Are you contacting Noss max? if not thats oke ill send him a pm and ask him in my best english ;D
I've posted on the french forum, but feel free to PM him here too: he knows exactly where the problem is, so I guess that even if your english does not sound too Oxford, that won't be a problem :) Noss' english is bad anyway if I recall correctly :P

Hope the race went well for everyone. I couldn't compete once I got out of sync. Qualifying wouldn't end for me. Then I say everyone doing there sighting lap and forming on the grind. But still said Qualifying 00:00 for me. So I just signed off, then I got a core while leaving the server. :/ I was getting some pretty big delays at times. One time I even watched my lap time change while I was in the garage.
Great race guys, congrats to Loopatelli. Thank you Peter as always for arranging the whole thing.

Had a nice battle with Arvoss for a few laps, that was fun,...untill i crashed ;D.
By the way Arvoss, you said was weird how i came out of corners so fast without clutch,.....well, nothing special, smooth throttle finger and very short first gear, thats all ;)

Ah that I didn't think about. Saw Loopa doing the same I think, got really quickly in the revs after that hairpin while I was struggling with the clutch to do the same. This one I am going to remember for the next time :D
It said I was disqualified for jump start but I was still in neutral.

Yes that was the key at the exit of slow corners LOL. Doing it with the clutch takes a lot of risk
