Hi all,
anyone knowing what is the optimal temperature range for the tires ?
MaX.
P.S.
BTW, would it make sense to have a tire temp setting in the pits (like tire warmers) ?
Dunno but maybe the optimal temperature change with the tyres type (qualif, hard etc... )?
For sure, but what is the opt temp for each tire ? Pilots have this info IRL.

Hi Max..... I'm pretty sure it is between 70 - 80 degrees C.
Is the optimal temperature not the one written in the tyre file?
In this case, these are the optimal temperature & pressure for the 500 and 1000:
500 tyres qualify
* Optimal temperature : 65°C
* Optimal pressure : 1.8 bars
500 tyres soft
* Optimal temperature : 70°C
* Optimal pressure : 1.8 bars
500 tyres hard
* Optimal temperature : 80°C
* Optimal pressure : 1.8 bars
500 tyres wet
* Optimal temperature : 65°C
* Optimal pressure : 1.8 bars
1000 tyres qualify
* Optimal temperature : 80°C
* Optimal pressure : 1.4 bars
1000 tyres soft
* Optimal temperature : 85°C (rear) / 90°C (front)
* Optimal pressure : 1.4 bars
1000 tyres hard
* Optimal temperature : 100°C
* Optimal pressure : 1.4 bars
1000 tyres wet
* Optimal temperature : 75°C
* Optimal pressure : 1.4 bars
1000 rear tyre soft-hard or hard-soft (multi compound tyres):
* Optimal temperature : 85°C (soft) / 100°C (hard)
* Optimal pressure : 1.4 bars
Yes it is.
But at the time Max asked for that the files were not encrypted ;-)
I´m thinking about developing Superbike and maybe Street tires.....but it will not be that easy.
Right all 1000cc bikes (CBR, RSV4,GP8,996,...) are using the MotoGP tires (GP1000) which is not correct.
You are right ! I didn't checked the dates ;D
Anyway, this could be helpful to any rider, as they are not all looking in the tyre models ;)
