Support / Re: Connection timeout

Ditto..

Its funny, I have prolly 9 great Steam games (AC, RRE, AMS, DoD,MoW, BLR,etc..) but GPB is the only one that gets me a rush right now.

It was encouraging in August to see DoubleDragon catch the attention of Dorna for his HS2.
The fact that GPB provides such real feel physics had me hoping that Jorge would get a sample of this sim.
Alas the Logistics/Administrative Gods at Silverstone reduced 3 days of exposure to mere hours.

Tosteetos' premise here is one I'd gladly champion for this game's development.
But whereas we have the Demand, it's unclear whether Pib has the Supply. ;)

Connection lag when somebody else joins is a real big problem now... it freezes completely for around 5 seconds.. after it sorts itself out the bike appears further up the track or crashed in the gravel.. nothing you can do about it  :-\

This! ;)
Version 12 had a reasonable 1 second lag as my son joined in but yeah, 12b has a 5-8 sec timeout that finds me in the weeds once game recovers. Unacceptable in 2017.

Not even mentioning the 9-12 fps on several track sections now.. What's that?
(even with all game graphics set to minimums: system specs below)

I've been sim racing since Papyrus in 1997 and find GPB among the top 3 sims in terms of physics and feel.
Whereas my $28US was well worth my current 6 months of GPB enjoyment, what do I have to pay to further development of this stunning sim?

Tell me P, I'm sure all of us would pay it!
Respectfully.. VF1

Let's all hold our water till Saturday night..

Carefully watching the vids with the sound cranked up (to hear the Q&A) gives a good experience of what they went through.

Good on ya Mates!

General Discussion / MASSIVE EFFORT AND KUDOS!
August 31, 2017, 06:03:51 AM
After watching all the videos Mike put on MEGA, I must say that racing at Mugello got a smile from each rider; especially when they knew the track. (FHD3149)
That the Movistar Yamaha Tech did not realize there was a brake and gearshift pedal available was a bit of a surprise though. With Moto17 clearly running, and with its automatic transmission, lack of surface pitch and unreal physics the demo had to lack the feel we all love in GPBikes.

On 102_1411, you really spoke up well for GP Bikes' superiority over Milestone's game.
Were Milestone in the demo room?

On that 102_1411 vid, the dark haired gent with the MotoGP dress shirt was Mr Canela?
He clearly knew the track and seemed to get the "small inputs vs gamepad" advice.

Whereas my son and I use Thrustmaster wheels with 100% FFB on GPBikes, does your rig offer any FFB? Was FFB a question that anyone brought up?

Once again, MASSIVE Thanks for going, presenting and filming it.
