That's the one, Castrol R. If you could bottle that smell you'd make a fortune  ;D

I'm with JC and Freddy here. Old school 2stroke all the way...
Reminds me of watching Schwantz Rainey and Mamola at Donington Park back in the day. And let's not forget the smell. Whenever a two stroke goes past on the road I'm hanging out the car window like a dog on the motorway. While my wife complains of the stinky petrol smell! Ahhhhh memories..... :D

General Discussion / Re: Sideslip angle, wut ?

Glad you see it  ;) but I don't necessarily feel it's the camera angle on the replay that exaggerates the movement as it's really clear from 3rd person camera which isn't static but it's following the bike/rider. It for me also happens mid corner or on corner entry. It looks like your loosing the front but your not. Where's Stout when you need him? He's much better at explaining  :)

It's probably more the 1st image of situation 2. The bike has completed the turn and is now starting to straighten up. But the nose is still looking as though it's heading off track and the bike is coming towards you. I get what your saying regarding a lightening front end under power but the nose/front should now be going in the direction of the rear tyre. And if it was down to the rear sliding then the nose would be pointing to the inside of the turn as shown in the second image of situation 2. It's like, I get what Stout is saying and totally agree. But explaining it is a totally different matter. I suppose if you don't see it, then you don't see it.  :)

Hi max, for me Stout has done a great job of doing that already mate. In the video and the stills it shows the nose of the bike pointing to the outside of the track but it's coming towards you. And your right about Lukey Heights at Victoria Stout. As you come over the crest of the left and into the tight right hand hairpin it's all over the place.

I totally agree with Stout and Bob. You can see it more in 3rd person view while turning it's like the bike goes slightly the opposite way so you can see more of the side of the bike than you should. Almost like its 'crabbing' like the rear spindle is out of line causing it to not follow the front.

Bug Reports / Re: Core crashes
August 13, 2014, 09:32:41 AM
Hello. While playing in testing mode last night on the Victoria circuit with the Aprilia 250 I experienced a core.exe crash while it was loading before the garage options appear. My OS is windows 8.1 and when it quits out the game and returns you to desktop, it says application has stopped working and there is a drop down with lots of numbers and stuff apparently explaining what's happened. I'm more of a gamer than a programmer so it doesn't make any sense to me but would it be any use if I copied it next time the crash happened? I'm sure more of you who know a lot more than me have already noticed this but I just thought I'd mention it anyway?

Taken some inspiration from Klax pushing the boundaries and I've turned all aids off apart from shift help and auto lean L/R F/B and I'm finding things easier. Obviously still playing at it but I can string a few laps together now. Can't believe how alive the bikes feel, great stuff!

Your probably right mate. When I'm playing say MX simulator, iracing, assetto corsa or even euro truck sim 2 I always use 1st person view as it's much more immersive. But at the moment I'm finding it tough to do a lap on any view without falling at least once!! Is there any way to stop low siding at the two right hand hairpins on the Phillip Island circuit included with the game but still carry speed? I feel like I'm really crawling round them to stay upright. I have all aids on apart from best line.

But I suppose that's why I'm really enjoying GPB. Its the fact you have to learn your way. I was reading through Klax75's post titled My Adventures with Direct Steer w/ Torque earlier and what a great read it was. That's some dedication to learning an art right there, and I'm probably a way off that journey. But it's great to see people who have been here a while still learning and trying new stuff.

Thanks....

Probably just the zoom. So it's closer to the rider/bike. It isn't a criticism it's just I wondered if you could play around with it like you can in say, rfactor. What view do you mainly use? I'd like to use the on board eventually but as for learning I find it easier in the chase view.

General Discussion / 3rd person camera options?
August 11, 2014, 10:04:28 PM
Hello, I've had a look around the forum with no luck so I thought I'd ask here. Is there any way to change the angle/zoom of the 3rd person/chase camera to something like the orbital one in the replay? I know there are options regarding FOV tilt etc for the on board but I can't find anything for the chase view.

Thank you....
