A lot of these riders also practice with flat track, super motard and dirt bike. I developed the habit too when I was riding dirt bikes. It does affect the feeling of the dirt bike. Gives you a bit more confidence turning in too. I started road racing long after dirt bikes though, so it didn't cross over for me. On dirt track it may matter, but in road racing, it's just a psychological thing.

Right now the trainer starts as soon as you cross the finish line. Is it possible to have it start in advance? For example adjust with a slider to start a few tenths of a second prior to crossing the finish line. So that way you can see your 'trainer' in front of you, and try to repeat your fast lap or catch up and pass your own trainer.
