I suggest you to reed the Hawk's post in the first page
 
for a good start check this site

download a model and look how a 3d bike is made.

for the FZR is very difficoult to say how many time it get... I had to learn a lot of things on it.

if you already know somethig about materials and UV maps, try with "NURBS curve".
there are tons of tutorial on this, for every 3d software.

thanks man! another think I completly miss...
but is not that the issue, the number plate on front have a graphical glith when camera is far from the bike.
I fixed that yesteday night so in next version I put new endurance style model with new replay camera.
it will happen whe I finished the second bike (VFR RC30)and the name of bikes change from track day to ENDURANCE '89

you right VSMaster!
in real life i have 2 bike and no light (track day tuned)
so... i have made a "endurance version whith only one headlight and no tail light"
but have some truble with tv cams, this is the why i don't use that, but if you wont, here it is!

for every one wont no light version,
put the file in FZR folder
open .gfx and add "E"
exemple:

ok... I totally miss this think in my learning process.
probably is not so difficult but I don't know how to make this... like working tyres model and sound!
so, when i learn how to make, i put it on!

sorry...

if someone know a good tutorial for this, could help!

yeah! is the parental attribute the problem!
removed and finally that "flying man" have something under his butt.
probably now i can use animated lever.

thanks for the tip h106 but...
removed details, removed meedles and lever, decimated model to 1\3 but nothing.
ok, forget the levers and 3p shadows works, my real problem is 1p with analogic gauges.
i try to use the cbr 900 chasse shadow and it work! so i think the problem is my shadow model.
then i try with needles on shadow model... nothing

... WTF... any ideas

hi guys,
in my mod, FZR 750, i have a problem with shadow...
i use the same model for bike body and shadows and initially look fine.
next i add analogic gauges and animated levers, refresh body and shadow model but...
in 1p if the gauges in the .gxf is "enabled=1" the shadow disappear
if the lever is enebled the shadows disappare  in 1p and 3p.
shadow model have levers and gauges

some one can help me?

i still work on tyre formula to avoiding the steer wobbing on low speed cornering...
i have not notice that, on mugello not happen, but first time on assen and i say "wow something wrong!"

you absolutly right! good model is not a simple thing to do... probably is the why a good made model can be selled at 90/100 €, and that probably the why you can't find high detailed model for free

another annoying thing is lack of bike model on sites... 300 cars and only 2 bikes, if you are lucky
 
some one say " free is good"... other say " also the shit is free" (italian way of saying)...
