Hi Manu,

since the last update the windshield of the fairing is not visible. Is it only me having this issue?
The WSBK 2017 mod shows the shield perfectly. Any clou?

Hi Folks,

it took the WSBK 2017 Panigale R out on the mid ohio track for few laps. From my point of view the first impression of GPBikes 15 is good so far.

But is it only me recognizing, that the chain is missaligned?

... right from the Track, the rear "feels" better now.

I also have tried a clutch torque 195 instead 290. Felt better ... The drivetrain is more smooth under braking.

good news and many thanks for the Moto2 mod ... by the way, could it also be, that the following parameters might need a sharp view too?

   Inertia = 0.016

      MaxTorque = 290

I have no real data, but compared with other mod "boikes" an inertia about 0.016 could be a bit to low? The WSBK Panigale has 0.0192,  the WSBK emmevi has 0.016?

Taking the torques from your curves, the clutch torque as a limit torque should be greater than max torque from the engine multiplied with the primary speed ratio x 1. gear speed ratio?

Yep ... slight throttle on helps ... as in real life. I always used to have slight throttle on before turn in and open throttle continuously before reaching the apex.
With GP Bikes it will be a bit difficult due to the fact, that I am using a thrustmaster gamepad; means left stick throttle and break, right stick for steering.

Apart from that ... yesterday I looked at the different cfg files of the Moto2 bikes and compared some data with the WSBK Panigale and F4, i.e.:

- Stall data
- Clutch data
- Torques
- Inertia

Same goes for the engine data.

In the engine data of the moto2 bikes one will find torque values around 300 (Unit?), while the torque data for the panigale seems to be more logical.
In real life the Honda CB 600 RR has maximum torque around 65 Nm. How does this match a maximum value around 300?

I could imagine, that some data are spaghetti ... or I lost something between my ears.

I do not loose the rear when down shifting, but when turning into a corner. But not at every corner. Locking the rear I havenĀ“t recognized so far. Usually I am ready with down shifting before reaching the corner entry.

What I have recognized in some situations is that when releasing the brake there is a sound similar to the engagement of the clutch.

I suppose two things:

1. There is an interaction between auto clutch and brake
2. The modelling of the clutch has one or more faults, the easiest would be a bit to low / high clutch torque

Hi Folks,

I have made a couple of stints on the Suter MMX,  Kalex and KTM Moto2 boikes on the Aragon race track. With all bikes it happend very often that I lost the rear while turning in into corner 8 and 14 at rather low speeds and beeing on the brakes.

Setting used so far:
Automatic clutch
No brake help

First I worked on the setup increasing stiffness and damping and things become better. From my understanding the rear needs more mechanical grip, therefore I increased spring up to 100, bump around 9, rebound around 7. Front springs at 12-12,5, bump 10, rebound 8.

I can not explain it in details ... but there seems to be a link between brake, brake release, gear, and coupling?

With direct steering of 35% I changed the steer or lean linearity to 65% ... and with that the rear is nearly stable. I can brake deep into corners or just going of throttle and shifting down and turning in.
Avoiding first gear in corner 8 and 14 and using second gear instead gives good control over the bike.

Hi folks,

I am running the WSBK 2017 - focussed on the "pani" and the "emmevi". Great mod I have to say.

Apart from that I wonder if we will ever see a WSBK 1999 - 2002 mod? I remember that time quite well when the WSBK-series was pretty popular with pilots like Fogarty, Edwards, Slight, Chilli Corser, Haga etc. Interesting enough there were never any serious game title.

Solved - tyres from the mod do not work, reinstalled and unpacked - after that everything is fine.

whops, you are right, there was a streetlegal 955 called 955 SP. Never noticed that before, but the 916 SP and SPS with the 996 engine and 916 on the fairing.

Btw sound, I judge on the base of personal experience. Since the year 2000 I am -still- riding a 996 SPS FR2. :-)

Hi Folks,

first of all many thanks for modding this iconic bike, which seems to be out of sight of today's motorcyclists.

I have tested the bike, results as follows:

1. Tyres not visible
Tyres are visible, if the set duc_916_h106frp.pkz are installed.

2. Type of bike
The headline "Ducati 916 Corsa 955 Factory" does not match the modded bike, which is a street bike. The Ducati 955 Corsa was produced as a factory racing bike, when Ducati decided to increase the displacement to 996 ccm. The 955 was an experimental factory version in that period. Indeed some tuners offered 955 conversion kits for the original 916.

3. General modelling
The proportion seems to be okay. The cockpit is quite good, but of few parts from the fairing missing fillets on edges. Especially the monoseat has a lot of sharp edges in contrast to reality. Further - the depth of the air outlets in the fairing is to low.

On the street bikes the tank was always the same through all versions, shape has never changed on road bikes.

4. Sounds
I am very sorry for saying that, but the sound is far away from being realistic, except idling sound.

5. Driving
The general behavior is to sluggish - the real bike is indeed quite handy and always stable, even on turns from left to right. The rear has a lot of traction, so that you can blast out of corners.
The front woobles, which is quite unusual for the real bike.

Long story short - there is room and space for improvements.

Apart from this I wonder about this mod, which seems to have a real good base:
