Actually it looks way way better than mxgp3 and definitely many improvements. Not full sim of course, but definitely a nice "fix" to get your sx out next year.

No way mxb will have the tracks and possibly not the game/physics and netcode (maybe though) to be ready.

Well, also 1 other thing I do too that I did at same time of virtual memory adjustment (so, could be combination of things). I have the Poseidon 980 TI card and in their GPUTweak I never cared before, but started to enable gaming boost (shuts down unneeded Windows crap) and run it in over-clock instead of just gaming mode.

At least for MXB, I turned up my virtual memory to 64GB (have 32 GB physical) and since doing so I can switch bikes/tracks and get online without restarting the sim.

Also, since doing this I have had absolutely 0 cores at all even with graphics totally max'd.

Sensitivity adjustment ? Can you detail ?

MaX.

Ya values from -10 to 10. Where 0 is standard default sensitivity.

So, say the sticks feel too sensitive and touchy, you can turn it down and get the feeling you desire.

Really the best feature ever! Like this a bunch.

Somewhere on forum a few guys bought this I believe. I did too.

Just got it today and it is such amazing quality. The sensitivity adjustment on sticks makes huge difference. Also, everything else is just perfect. Buttons, etc....very nice quality.

Anyway......it gives you 6 extra buttons, BUT you have to program those to 6 of the normal buttons. Which is ok, but not a true 6 more buttons.

They are way more convenient to access and works well to get rid of annoying to reach buttons.

I just was hoping it added a true 6 buttons that worked separate from others. Oh well.....

Still love it for many other reasons....best controller ever!

To be honest, i recall PiBoSo saying on the old forum that DL is only for wheel users, and should not be used with a gamepad...and i can totally understand why.
Yes I remember that.

Well damn, back to off it goes then. Id rather play the way it was meant to be played.

Its a "style" thing.

But think about riding, your going through a corner and push bar in desired direction. Equivalent of pushing stick in direction. If you want to turn more in rl you push harder. So in sim you move stick further and push more.

Then when its time for exit you gradually release pressure. Just like you have to do with direct lean on. If you arent smooth with it and release too fast the bike will stand up fast, just like rl. You can be mid corner and instantly stand a bike up if desired.

With dl off thats not possible. However, with it off being smooth is much easier, but slower response.

With it on, you now have the control, just as in rl. So you control how quick the bike stands up. If u just let go of stick quick, which is like not pushing on the bar, yes its going to "spring" back up.

I will say dl off has realism too. Not always do you just release pressure on bar to stand back up. Long sweeping corner, yes. But tight corner,  not really. If you want to get vertical quick, you need to push opposite way til there. Just like you do with dl off.

So, at end of day its the feeling you prefer. They are two very different extremes and not one or other is purely realistic. So, i kinda agree a slider bar adjustment would be cool. You could then incrementally adjust toward direct lean on until you find a spot where the bikes reacts and stands up not too slow or too fast for whatever suits your fancy.

Being new i have to say. I have direct lean on. Did it with off for couple days and started with it on today. Lap times are same, but it did take a while getting used to.

Dont regret it. Control is much better and feels more realistic too.

If you want it that realistic, you need a proper bike controller.
I say, use the setup you can ride with the best. After all, it is a game.
Plus, in that setup you can't revmatch while braking and you can't use manual lean.

Very true with revmatch.

But if you use the sequential shifter idea and brake pedal, put clutch on left bumper. Then left stick is rider movement. If u have razor sabertooth you could keep clutch on an analog.

Its just a theory. I have tried and experiment, but its difficult to retrain the brain.

I don't use this, but am experimenting a little with it. Hard to get used to.

So.......there is a theory that I found somewhere online. Anyway, here goes it:

Triggers:
By having steering on the triggers it best simulates counter-steering and the motion of pushing the bar in correct direction. The analog stick is twitchy and sloppy (matter of opinion) and greater smoothness and control can come by controlling with the triggers. If you imagine pushing the bars in real life it is a very slight movement on the bars. So, in theory the analog stick is wrong in its approach due to that with the large swinging motion of back and forth. The triggers are more accurate because it simulates that pushing.

That's the theory anyway.

Right Stick:
Throttle. If you imagine turning a throttle it kinda moves your thumb knuckle back. So throttle is on down position.
Front brake. If you hold your hand out in front of you and pretend to pull the front brake lever it moves your thumb forward. So front brake is on up position.
Gear Up by pushing down. Alternatively if you have sequential shifter you could place it sideways by left foot for a more real control.

Left Stick:
Clutch. Similar to front brake just with left hand. Could use the left bumper if you don't want analog control.
Rear brake. If you want analog control this is best spot. Could use the right bumper if you don't care about analog control. OR if you have pedals put it by right foot on the pedal.
Gear Down by pushing down. Alternatively if you have a sequential shifter you could place it sideways by left foot for a more real control.

* If you do the sequential shifter deal and brake on a pedal, then that opens the left stick up for rider movements. Front, Back, Left, Right.

Everything else could be whatever, but you can look below.

It is interesting theory, but VERY hard to get used to.

Found the unofficial guide to all of this.  8)

Anyway, ya it was offline testing session. So...........now I know.

See you on track soon, just need to practice more and get consistent  :P

hmm...........ok. I was in a testing session last night when I set my time, but I am not on stat page. So was just curious

Good to hear. Ya I checked the stats. I am way off from top riders, but well get there.

Anyway........that brings me to next question. Seeing the stats why are there no modded bikes on the stats? And, how do you get on the stats, lol

Ya I went ahead and bought it. I am pretty good now and got it feeling pretty good on the control/view side.

In 2 hours I got my time at Victoria on the 125 (all stock settings) to 1.45.0** Only assist I am using is Auto Clutch, everything else is off.

Is that horrible?

Holy crap that 990 is sweet :D

Currently I can ride just fine in 3rd person and in the fixed first person view, but the helmet view is getting me. I end up turning in too late and run wide all the time. Just a weird feeling with it how the bike moves all around under you. Pretty realistic though. Just will take a while to get used to.

Downloaded demo while waiting for MX bikes to give it a whirl. Wow :) this is awesome. Cant believe i didnt do this years ago!!!!

Anyway.....what are good settings to start with? Not bike settings, but view, controls, sim settings, etc.....

Should i even use stock bikes or just download others?
