Bikes / Re: Supermoto?
December 06, 2019, 12:11:07 pm
If you have MX-Bikes you can use the kart tracks in that game. There used to be one mod-supermoto for GP-Bikes, a Kawasaki 450 if my memory serves me right (the bike was green at least), but that one won't work anymore.

General Discussion / Re: Trailbraking feel wrong...?

The M2 is unridable for me, front-end washes out if I even think of entering a corner or correcting the angle. I do use my homebuilt controller and 100% direct lean, that and the problems with the virtual rider might explain my issues with that bike.

General Discussion / Trailbraking feels wrong...?
December 01, 2019, 12:07:49 am
Hi guys. Need your opinion on this. I've been playing around with trail braking for a while now and I can't really replicate the correct feeling. When putting weight on the front the bike should be easier to steer, but instead it feels like the opposite and I keep missing the apex every time. If I finish braking before the corner and go in coasting I make the apex... which just feels wrong to me. Another problem I've noticed is that trying to tighten the line with the rear brake on certain bikes is just impossible. Even if I just apply 1-5% rear brake the rear tire looses traction and the bike goes down. That really should not happen since I should be miles away from locking the rear, or upsetting the bikes geometry enough to lose the front (usually though the rear lets go and not the front).

Any thought or ideas? Am I doing it wrong/thinking wrong about this or is it down to faulty game and/or bike physics?

That would be great. Thanks.

I've tried and it doesn't seem to work..., used same setting as the previous beta... and then some others but no luck... Update incoming Caws?

I don't know if it's your doing or Piboso's (I'm guessing the latter) but the throttle representation with MaxHud in the latest Beta is not good according to me. I use it to glance down to see exactly how much throttle I'm applying and to know if I'm giving it max throttle or not (my custom controller is mechanically not a 100 accurate when it comes to the last bit, sometimes I think I'm at 100% but it turns out I'm only at around 90-95%). So with the latest beta it seems that the throttle gauge in Maxhud is displaying the engine power output and not the physical throttle position (i.e. right hand). It's also confusing when it shows the idle engine throttle but the physical throttle is at zero. Is there a way to change it back to the way it was before? Maybe by changing some settings in some .ini file?

Bikes / Old bikes update?
August 10, 2019, 06:56:59 pm
Hi everybody.

I was doing some house cleaning of my computer and cloud storage and I found some old bikes from around the Beta4 era. Can't remember who created them and I can't open them since they don't show up in the game, but I was thinking that maybe the moders want to have a go at updating them. Since the whole Milestone copyright debacle there has not been that many new bikes so this might be an option to have a few more in the game. Now I don't know if any of these are Milestone rips (no go) and for the ones that are not, the original creators have to give there okay if they don't want to update them themselves. Unfortunately I'm not a 3D guy so I can't do it myself.

Also as a side note, I have a shitload of 3D-models of bikes that I've "found" on the internet. Maybe some of them are worth taking a look at? Again no idea about the quality of them or if it's even possible to convert them, and some of them are models of bikes from like 1904, basically a bicycle with an engine! :)

Let me know if there is any interest...

The old GP-bikes are:
675 Daytona
Aprilia RSA250
Aprilia RSV4
CBR 600
Ducati 996
Ducati GP8
Ducati 749
Ducati 996R
Ducati GP12
gsxr 600
Honda cbr1000
Honda rcv213
Ktm rc8r
kx450f (supermoto)
Ninja 6r
Suzuki rgv500
The Gent (chopper) ::)
Yanaha m1
Yamaha R6

I also have some bikes that work with the latest beta (but are not updated and the gearing needs to be changed [DMT]), and are not in the bike database as far as I can tell, for example the Ducati Street fighter 848.

Quote from: ZeroCivilian on August 06, 2019, 02:02:24 amThat's weird, what purpose does that serve?

It's supposed to be like a race weekend, the riders only get a certain amount of tires in practice and in the race.

If it is then we should ask him to implement the option in GP-bikes as well. Then Goodwood would also be a fine challenge.
