General Discussion / Lol, CAWS/Warlock Did It Again!

And the sound is something else, listening to it in a replay on the overrun - lovely.

Lmao, Walock STOLE MY SOUND FILE AGAIN

Here are 2 short videos I made TO PROVE IT! He stole my 848 Ducati Streetfighter sound file, and tried to hide it with simple Equalization tweaks before applying it to the Strada!

All I had to do was use a random/bad sound editor to expose him again.

Hahaha. This (clean your language please) over here --> https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCI5MDZVX1JGffuLop6UWHpQ/videos

Stole my GP Bikes beta 8 "Ulster Grand Prix" video and is looking to grow his channel that way. Unfortunately, such (removed) are all over Youtube, growing their channels into large and profitable ones by stealing content and by telling ridiculous lies. In fact, I've received eight or nine spam messages on my Youtube channel by other Youtubers who were tiny channels at the time, but have hundreds of thousands of subs at this point.

Most of them spam their way to the top, but others steal content until they become large enough to ditch those stolen videos and ride the waves they've allowed others to generate for them. Don't know why on Earth they keep getting away with it.

-Urban, I realize your upset but your language needs to clean up a bit! I don't have all day to edit your posts as I have important things to do!

This road course looks awesome. Could somebody convert this for GP Bikes?

Also: The dude's got a point about road courses (and possibly free-roam environments) being a good thing.

Tracks / Phillip Island request

awesome, manu!

..any chance we could get Motegi?

I'd rather have Philip Island. Victoria, is nothing like Philip Island.

So far this has happened at Sachsenring as well as Aragon. At a random point in time, the game will crash, and the bike will be seen completely broken in the freeze-frame (split itself into many pieces it would seem), for no reason at all.

Suggestions and wishlist / GP Bikes Needs a Ghost/Trainer
February 20, 2017, 02:44:36 PM
@Piboso: I think a non-conventional ghost for GP Bikes would go a long way. Here's the proposition:

A ghost should be added to GP Bikes, but one which will continue to lap at one of the rider's past lap times of the session (a lap-time the rider can choose). This means: as the ghost crosses the finish line, it continues the next lap, regardless of whether or not you have crossed the finish line as well. This will allow riders to race against their ghost for many laps because the ghost will continue running the same pace while the rider is on track. I think this is a very good idea, and will add something quite unique and interesting to GP Bikes. It will allow riders to prepare offline, for online races better, as it helps people lap consistently at a given pace with their ghost (which will be lapping continuously at the same pace as one of the previous lap-times set).

Bikes / [Download] Motorcycle Engine Sounds Repository
December 24, 2016, 01:48:46 PM
GP Bikes seems to be very short on good quality engine sounds, so I've decided to provide some. Here you will find an assortment of great motorcycle engine sound mods for a variety of bikes.

Tracks / Race Track Builder for GP BIkes
December 20, 2016, 07:32:41 PM
I'd like to know about how exactly one can use Race Track Builder to create a GP Bikes track. Here's a video demonstrating how to use real satellite data to create an Assetto Corsa track.

Now, suppose I wanted to scan a 5km radius of a beautiful city in South Africa called Cape Town, and turn that into a nice GP Bikes track or "free roaming" course. How exactly would I go about doing that with Race Track Builder? I don't have RTB yet, but when I get enough money to buy it, I think having a beautiful city to enjoy in GP Bikes would be awesome. Possibly, it would be great for folks to explore it online.

Bug Reports / Beta 10c: Rider Not Visible (Solved)
December 14, 2016, 06:23:52 AM
For some reason, the rider isn't visible in the menu anymore. Nor is he visible in the third person camera or replays.

Resolution: For some reason, certain files in the gpbikes folder got corrupted.

There is an issue with Trial's (the track) blue sky texture in beta 10c. A portion looks really bad. As if it came straight out of rFactor or some other 1960s, 8-bit videogame. Is it Beta 10c's fault, or does the track author need to tweak some things for compatibility?

Since beta 6 or 7, there's been no rev limiter. How come?

Off Topic / Vertical vs Horizontal PC performance
December 06, 2016, 05:54:37 AM
Sup folks. I've got a very unusual proposition to make:

There seems to be a problem with most PC cases and GPUs. I started encountering problems some time ago when my PC would BSOD during gameplay (any game), and GPU temps would shoot through the roof. I did all kinds of things to figure out what the fuck was going on, but to no avail. I then had the bright idea to place my computer on its side. That ended the BSODs and boosted gameplay performance by at least 20fps. Somehow my display driver would crash and recover periodically when the my case was upright and normal, but placed on its side, things were fine. I had an MSI Twin Frozr GTX 770 and an EVGA GTX 460 Superclocked (physx) in the system. Eventually, the PC broke completely. Before it broke, it would fail to POST upon booting 9/10 times, but would always be able to resume windows if I put the PC to sleep instead of shutting it down. I suspected the motherboard was damaged, and when the PC failed to POST after the power went out one day, and I tried booting the PC 50 times or so, I through both the board and the case away. The operating system was Windows 8.1. I had downgraded from Windows 10 after experiencing problems and falsely blaming it on the OS.

Anyway, after the PC broke, I went and installed the GTX 460 in an older, windows 7 machine. Things seemed OK but stutter in GP Bikes and even Youtube videos was fucking insane. Really bad. I suspected the PC's disgustingly weak 2.8GHz Dual Core, but things got worse and the display driver started crashing again. I placed the PC on its side again, and the crashes stopped. Not only that, but temps dropped, and performance increased. Very strange.

Now, I wanna try a new PC and a GTX 1070, but it's much heavier than even a GTX 770, and I fear I'll have the same issues. Somehow it seems gravity pulls the cards down in a way that affects contact with the PCIe slots.

So here's my proposition: Could some of  you guys whip out GPU monitering software and see what happens when you place your PCs on their sides as opposed to standing the cases up vertically? I wanna know if anyone else has been having performance issues and yet not realizing the cause.

Bikes / Kawasaki ZX-10R Improved Engine Sounds

EDIT: To new visitors: This thread is very old, kindly ignore it.

From 01/01/2017 onward, go here --> http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=4071.0 for new and improved engine sound mods for GP Bikes. There are no longer any issues.

I think a good idea would be to indicate online whether a person is riding in first or third person, for the sake of others' interest and logistic reasons.

Tracks / No lap time for "Trial"?
October 06, 2016, 02:34:52 PM
It seems trial can't generate lap times. Could anyone tell me how I could enable it to do so?
