The 2023 British Superbike Championship season is the 36th season of the motorcycle championship. Bradley Ray was the reigning champion, but chose to compete in the 2023 Superbike World Championship. The championship was won by Tommy Bridewell, winning the closest-ever BSB season, defeating teammate Glenn Irwin by just half a point.

Tandragee 100

Tandragee 100 is a motorbike road race held annually in April since 1958 on the country roads near the town of Tandragee (Irish: Tóin re Gaoith, meaning "back of the wind"), a village in County Armagh south-west of Belfast, Northern Ireland in the United Kingdom.

The event celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2022, with races not held in 1972, 2001, 2010, 2020 and 2021. The race is officially called the Around A Pound Tandragee 100.

[Phillip Island Circuit]

Phillip Island Circuit

The Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit is a motor racing circuit located near Ventnor, on Phillip Island, Victoria, Australia. The current circuit was first used in 1956.

The circuit was refurbished with a reduced length of 4.445 km (2.762 mi) and was reopened on 4 December 1988 for the final round of the 1988 Swann Insurance International Series for motorcycles.

In 1989, the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix joined the FIM Road Racing World Championship calendar for the first time, and was held at Phillip Island. The 1989 race saw a race long dice in the 500 cc division between local favourites Wayne Gardner and Kevin Magee, along with Wayne Rainey and Christian Sarron. The race was won by 1987 World Champion Gardner to the delight of the huge crowd. Gardner would make it two in a row at the Island in 1990 before the race moved to Eastern Creek in Sydney for 1991. The Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix would remain at Eastern Creek until it returned permanently to Phillip Island from 1997 onwards.

Phillip Island hosted its first Superbike World Championship round in 1990, taking over from Sydney's Oran Park Raceway as the Australian round of the series. Local riders Peter Goddard (Yamaha FZR750) and Rob Phillis (Kawasaki ZXR750) won the two races for what was Round 12 of the season, with Goddard having secured pole position. The World Superbike round continues to be held annually at Phillip Island to this day.

Superbike World Championship (also known as WorldSBK, SBK, World Superbike, WSB, or WSBK) is a silhouette-class road racing series based on heavily modified production motorcycles, also known as superbike racing.

The championship was founded in 1988. The Superbike World Championship consists of a series of rounds held on permanent racing facilities. Each round has two full length races and, from 2019, an additional ten-lap sprint race known as the Superpole race. The results of all three races are combined to determine two annual World Championships, one for riders and one for manufacturers.

The motorcycles that race in the championship are tuned versions of motorcycles available for sale to the public, by contrast with MotoGP where purpose built machines are used. MotoGP is the motorcycle world's equivalent of Formula One, whereas Superbike racing is similar to sports car racing.

Europe is Superbike World Championship's traditional centre and leading market. However, rounds have been held in the United States, Malaysia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, Argentina, Australia, Russia, Qatar, Thailand, and South Africa and the series plans on keeping extra-European circuits in rotation. An Indonesian race was also proposed for the 2008 season, but this was later cancelled by the FIM, though it was later introduced in the 2021 season.

The championship is regulated by the FIM, the international governing body of motorcycle racing. As of 2013 the championship is organised by Dorna.

The 2022 Superbike World Championship is the 35th season of the Superbike World Championship. Toprak Razgatlıoğlu has come into the season as the defending world champion.

The tyres have the same grip on all tyres, only the stiffness varies, the soft tyres are less stiff and the hard tyres are stiffer and depend on the optimum temperature. They are also a bit critical when it comes to braking, but you have to practice about it to understand it.

Amongst other motor racing events, it has hosted the German Grand Prix, most recently in 2019. The circuit has very little differences in elevation. The circuit has an FIA Grade 1 license.

The 2002 mod bikes have a different tyre physics to the other historic bikes, they have less grip and less lean angle, they were the first tyres on a motogp and they shared them with the 500cc bikes that raced with the motogp bikes. That's why they are slower tyres than the other bikes, apart from the fact that their engine specification is different.
