If to own a Ferrari is a privilege, then to possess an XX is a kind of apotheosis. These intriguing letters stand for the three Ferrari programmes dedicated to its most faithful customers who are lucky enough to drive cars produced in very limited numbers and exclusively for the track.
As you own a great collection of our exotic road cars, it is with great pleasure to invite you to our next Corse Clienti event.
This event will be held at the Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway on the dates of the 15th and 16th of December.
You will be staying at the Inn Hotel located 17 kilometers from the racetrack. Of course all expenses are payed for and you will be given a Ferrari GTC4 Lucco as means of transportation during your stay troughout the weekend.
When you arrive at the racetrack you will be given the option to drive the Ferrari FXX and the Ferarri 599XX.
The FXX was the first laboratory-car. It was launched in 2006 and sports a 860-horsepower 12-cylinder 6.3-litre engine that provides a thrilling performance. It features comprehensive data-monitoring and telemetry that not only allows the driver to improve performance, but also provides Ferrari technicians with valuable data to improve the FXX and future road-going Ferraris.
The 2009 599XX is a 700-horse power concentrate of technology equipped with very sophisticated systems such as the fans that, sucking the air from the faired bottom of the car and expelling it from two rear pipes, make the vehicle stick to the asphalt, creating a perfect ground effect. Its performance is also thrilling.
The XX Programmes emerged out of the ingenious and rather fascinating idea of involving a group of special customers in the development of the Ferraris of the future, asking them to help provide information to the Corse Clienti technicians.
It would be a great honor to have you participating in our XX programmes.
Seeing as there is a newly sparked interest in Assetto Corsa lately due to the amazing idea of Peter to host a whole Championship (which sadly i don`t have the time to compete in) i would like to try and relive the fun we used to have just riding around GP bikes without the pressure of a race.
For this purpose i tried to pick 2 cars that were very closely matched performance wise, but require a very different driving style. These cars are the Ferrari 458 Speciale and the Lamborghini Huracan Performante. Both these cars are on Michelin Pilot Sport cup2 tyres.
Both are mods which i carefully picked and are up to Kunos quality.
As both cars are Italian, the trackday will be hosted on Imola and the server will go online troughout the weekend on 20:00 CET starting on Friday evening. There will be no qualifying or race sessions going on on this server, just unlimited practice on a dynamic track.
I just want to take a moment to say how much more fun this forum has become lately. I really appreciate the fact that there is so much room to just talk about whatever you want without getting attacked by hordes of people, and that there is such a casual atmosphere. There even is room for fun!
Also i like the fact that your posts don`t get deleted without a reason like on other forums, or that the moderators don`t destroy convenient topics as soon as someone mentions something offtopic. That is really a plus and i would like to see us continue this way.
I hope that you`ll appreaciate these words because i know that alot of people here feel the same way.
Hooray for us and let us continue like this for many years!
Watching Motogp today i came to a conclusion. I`ve been thinking and saying this for quite a while now, but today i was 100% certain.
Our Motogp bikes are too slow in the corners. Watching the real guys do it today they carry alot more lean angle & corner speed, and also they flip the bike from side to side alot quicker. Since Beta 3 i always felt the bikes felt too heavy and drove more like a street bike then a MotoGP protoype.
Same goes for the 500 imo. That thing has such low corner speed and lean angle at the moment that you can`t tell me with dry eyes that that`s realistic? These things had a minimum weight of about 135 kg`s. That`s insanely light, and you don`t have the feeling at all that you`re driving a light 500cc 2 stroke.
Unfortunately I`m hearing and seeing things left and right that appearently people are not happy the way the mod is managed. But instead of talking to me or coming with idea`s and suggestions to help and improve the way we work now, i have to hear and read stuff that`s aimed at me personally and that`s not really motivating to keep this running anymore. Therefore i`m pulling the plug and everyone can manage their own stuff.
I`m really sorry for the people that did enjoy and made use of the mod, but it`s also time for people to come up with their own way of handling mods, this was just created to let everyone ride and enjoy different bikes together online and have fun.
Thanks to those who DID make an effort to keep the fun going online
Is it possible for the moderators to make a thread for each bike we have so far, and then let people post their paints in the corresponding thread. 125 paints go in the 125 thread, R6 paints in the R6 thread etc etc. This would make the forum look alot better and would make it easier for people to view paints for the bike they`re looking paints for. We could start with a clean slate, correctly named paints and threads. I`m already seeing that people are using a somewhat standardized paint name, so we are making progress
I see alot of people trying to join my server when we`re riding with some people. And most fail because they have no clue where to get the 675 or that it even exists. I`m posting it here now so that everyone has a chance to ride it and noone gets frustrated with mismatches or errors. I don`t care wheter the bike is finished, w.i.p or whatever, all i`m seeing is that alot of people are being left out and not be able to ride online with the people that DO have it. And that`s what this is all about isn`t it?Riding together and having fun. This bike is not included in the Bike Mod as it`s not clear what the plan is with this bike or what the author wants. Till then i provide you with the following link :
I don`t know if i`ve missed it, but could someone explain how i embed a youtube video on this forum? I`ve seen some people do it, so i know it`s possible... Last time i checked i couldn`t find anything about it on the help section on this...
How hard is it to implement triple screen support for WRS? Right now everything looks distorted, and in Arma it`s just a matter of adjusting the aspect ratio in a .ini file to make everything match on screen.
