Hello! I have set up an unofficial Discord server yesterday, which scope encapsulates multiple subjects relating to PiBoSo's simulators. It is meant to regroup convivially and efficiently the community in real-time as well as alleviating the forum of some probably unneeded chit-chat.

Channels:
    Textual:
        - casual
        - piboso-world
        - modding-bikes
        - modding-cars
        - modding-maps
        - modding-code

    Vocal:
        - casual
        - modding-bikes
        - modding-cars
        - modding-maps
        - modding-code

Roles/ranks:
    - Administrator (total control)
    - Moderator (can assign/revoke roles, manage messages and users)
    - 3D Artist (modder's specificity or recognized as such)
    - 2D Artist
    - Audio Artist
    - Programmer
    - Modder (anyone that has shown and/or released mods)
    - Champion (might add more for specific championships/categories)
    - Member (registered forum user)
    - @everyone (mainly guests, anonymous or users not yet given Member role)

Additional information:
    - Possibility to upload files (8MB per file) and integrate links from Member and upward.
    - Only Modders and upward can access modding channels, as those are working places; Champions being an exception (read access to textual channels only).
        Note: I thought adding a common goal to the players would install a certain concurrency between them, thus theoretically more fun as well as expanding life of the actual game.
    - News and announcements can be posted in #piboso-world.
    - Modders and upward can use the '@everyone' target on certain events (mods, builds releases and administrative announcements).
    - For those who already have roles here that do exist in the server, they will get them assigned (if wanted) as soon as possible.

Some things are susceptible to change depending on needs and demands.

Note for PiBoSo: As I mentioned through private messages, you have full rights on the server and ownership can be handed over at any moment, PiBoSo. It is not much work (if any) once set, really.

Bikes / CBR250r mod -- ZXR250R

I firstly want to say sorry to the author(s) of this add-on. I'm ashamed of taking others' works as frame for my mods, but after all my failed attempts on certain tasks, it is just impossible for me to fully achieve my plans at the moment..

As for the mod. It includes:

- Engine map -- 45hp @16000rpm, 25nm @11500rpm.
- Engine settings -- Electronic idle ~2000rpm (had troubles without it), RevLimiter 19000rpm, BreakingRPM 22000rpm.
- Driveline -- 6 front and 6 rear sprocket settings
- Final ratio
- Audio samples from Test Drive Unlimited; please remove this post or links if any legality issue.

It does wheelies quite easily, tops at 193km/h @16800rpm in straight line (tested on Daytona Oval) and has an acceptable torque, in my opinion. Hopefully someone will enjoy it, and don't hesitate to report any flaw. Thanks for reading!

Hi!

I was tinkering with the systems lately, and i noticed the drivetrain interface couldn't support more than 6 gears (haven't tried to test with less though). It's quite uncomfortable for modding and making presets.

The second point is very unlikely to happen. It would be a console that shows certain loaded files and displaying configuration errors. MaxSCL already has something similar when loading/parsing a bike, so, i don't think it would be a pain to build.

I came across this video that remembered me of the beta 6 gameplay (bike riding alone). :lol:

But now i think about it, the engine cannot burn. Would be cool to have this event in game.

Heya guys!

I wanted to know if in the future, it would be possible to convert replay videos from the game in more usual formats like avi, mp4, flv etc... Quake 3 had a really good system for that. (get into the replay and use a command to start converting/exporting the sequence into a different format)

Anyway, i think the title tells everything already. ^^

I know there's some things more important than that, it was just an idea... It would avoid using fraps over the replay or in game to record an uglier version of the sequence..

Heya! Two quick questions!

Is there a way to encrypt and un encrypt sounds ? And how can i modify basic bikes' sounds (if possible) ? (i would like to TRY to make 2 stroke sounds)

I was already searching 6 cylinders videos that would be good for making sounds (in vain, will maybe try with this video)

This would be crazy in game (same for the nr500 :3).  ;D

I think it's the only lacking thing in the sounds. As we all know, in real life, when turning the throttle of few degrees, of 10 or full, even at the same rpm, the engine doesn't sound same. It would be harder to configure for the game, but it would sound much more realistic.

Just a though.

PS: Should affect when the throttle go from 100% directly to 0% too (for fire spitting or turbo/supercharger)

It would go perfect with street/track bikes and it would look amazing on night tracks (or public roads 'q').  ;D

Heya! Has someone made a public road map ? Not a complete open world (as big as tdu) but something similar that is not a track only x)

Heya! That would be cool if we can graphically set the redline on the hud, from it's start to it's end. Just for the eyes. I don't think it'll be hard to add since it'll probably uses a similar system of the hud's rpm settings.

Hi everyone! I'm Wh1t34Gl3(SAS) (but just call me eagle, i think it's more simple :p), i'm 17, french, purchased GPBikes few days ago and i'm new to the forums. I like modding games to enjoy them a little more so, why not gpbikes ? I waited a long for a game that realistic and fully modable.

I created this thread because i'm working on recreating (the most i can) the ZXR250 (and maybe the 400 and 750, the old guys there surelly know them :D).

To make a little review of my skills, 0. ':3

For now, i have just implanted tdu's zx10r sounds and partially finished the engine/gearbox settings. I'm trying to make a low poly test model and setting everything well.

There is a little test of it on Victoria Track (first version, before sounds/torque fixs/ajust):
