Maybe try asking at the discord, it seems to be more active than the forum now.

I'd like to be able to stagger the individual ghosts. Currently we can stagger all of them together but to allow independent timing for each would add to the ghost trainer experience. For the record I'm in New Zealand and ping times to international servers is in excess of 300ms making it unplayable online.

General Discussion / Draw distance
August 03, 2022, 03:09:49 AM
Hi Piboso, thanks to your GP Bikes title I'm for the first time jumping into the world of modding, namely track creation. My question is with regards to an issue I have with the way I've created my section of roads, where the hills in the distance drop in and out of render. I looked into how to solve this and found a post (http://forum.mx-bikes.com/index.php?topic=3499.0) where it was asked if you could include a prefix to exclude an object from draw distance limits.

Is this something you can implement or not possible? Thanks in advance.

Great, thanks for that update Chris.

General Discussion / Re: Spam

I moderate a motorcycling forum and we got frustrated with spam to the point now that every first post from a new user needs to be approved by a mod before it gets seen by the community. This way we have no spam on the forum at all.

Virtual Reality / Re: Steam VR issues Major WTF

When you say the PC screen are you referring to SteamVR view image (on the monitor) or what the game produces itself? If it's what the game produces itself then my understanding is SteamVR has no influence on this.

World scale is fine for me with SteamVR and Vive Pro HMD.

Interesting to read. I must say with nearly 3yrs of SteamVR use it hasn't let me down in any way. Maybe because of my HMD.

Totally agree, in VR this sim is next level greatness. I'm following these discussions closely as the plan is to build a dedicated riding rig for it.

Bug Reports / Re: SteamVR issue.
January 06, 2022, 10:19:21 AM
Update. I have fixed the issue. When I first started to add content to the game I followed the advice I had seen on these forums, putting the mods into my document>piboso>gp bikes>mods folder but they wouldn't show. I found other guides online including at Steam suggesting I needed to put the mods into the root folder, creating a 'bikes', 'tyres' etc group of folders. I did this and it worked. But the game would ctd on occasion. Leading me to where I found myself at the last post.

Tonight I decided to do a fresh install, but this time I put it on my c: drive as this one of my ssd's. I fired up the game on a base install but my mod content was still there. It then dawned on me that I had left content folders in my documents folder (from a previous test today). So I discovered for myself that for the mods to work from your documents folder the root drive has (in its default setting) to be on the same drive. And now of course, my mods are all working in VR with no ctd.

Sorted.

Bug Reports / SteamVR issue.
January 05, 2022, 11:03:12 PM
First up, I did look through the forum and saw there was a post in another thread about this issue but I wanted to create a thread on the actual topic.

For the most part GP Bikes (Steam version) works fine with SteamVR. But I was getting crashes to desktop with certain mods (bikes only). After checking I had my installation etc correct I tried the game with SteamVR off, and all these mods worked fine.

For the record SteamVR has worked faultlessly for me with all my other VR titles.

I'm not sure what to do next, the game on Steam states it supports my HMD (HTC Vive Pro) but currently it is a hit and miss situation. I'm hoping someone can either suggest a work around or ideally this issue can be fixed.

Quote from: ZenQvix on January 03, 2022, 06:41:09 PMHey i just purchased gp bikes via steam and downloaded motogp 2002 mod and the bikes have no power i need half a minute to get to 100km/h and dont know if its wrong that im playing on a keyboard
Homewer with the MotoGP 2021 mod thats not the case
So is a problem with my controls or did i insert the mod wrong

Turn off rider assistance modes like wheelie control, stability control, traction control etc in the simulation tab. This should sort it for you.

SteamVR user here (Vive Pro) and can report that it works perfectly at my end. Happy to share/compare any settings if that helps.

Yeah it was on by default, and hadn't been an issue before. I've got a lot of reading to do on this title to get my head around the new environment. BTW, loved your thread on the handlebar setup. It's something I've always wanted to do when the right bike game came along (stupidly I was aware of GPB from a few years ago but never pursued it) so my friend and I will be taking a lot of tips and knowledge from it.
