Great ideas Hawk, thank you, the ball continues to roll.

Particularly like the changing of bike categories. I would be happy to help out where I can but beware I got lost at "skin-packs" and "forum threads" so would need a 'daddy' too, besides I think doing it daily will need more than one person in control. Hmm there comes another idea - rotate it round the active members - or winner organises the next weeks racing.

Bit worried there are only 3 of us interested so far, this will need a good backing if its worth the effort. Can one of you Hero members start a poll of interest to canvass people? That would give us an idea of numbers.

I don't know where the current dedicated ES/ITA/FRA servers are, but the best solution might be a 'dedicated' one not in someone's bedroom?  But its an option of course. Will run the idea through GpBikes Headquarters aka Her Indoors, she might agree.

Maybe someone with a current little-used Dedicated server could use it to fulfil this dream?

Here's an idea from a Nooboid trying to help  .

Any chance a server can be set up for a race every night? Say 8pm with the track changing daily.  Then we could have a Quick Race Child-board with a Daily topic where people can say "I'm racing tonight" just to give an idea who's going to turn up.. No points but maybe someone could make a list of track vs winners and a shiny Gold Cup JPEG every week/month for most wins.

I doubt (with all the skill there is here  ) this hasn't already been thought of in one form or other so shoot me down if needed and I'll think of sommat else.

Hell someone needs to open a POLL about this idea! I'd do it but I aint got a friggin clue yet!

I assume the rider mods will come in their own good time, there is obviously scope for it as the option for rider style already exists.

Yeh man i understand 'busy' all right. And I notice all the hard work a lot of people do here - its very impressive and very much appreciated.  Just finished my first bike skin that was great fun learning that stuff. Wire framing and 3d stuff I will have to book for my next life.

Just looking round the forum getting up to speed on the history of the game and stuff and I came across this thread.

An interesting period in racing history for me too. I would also like to design an older bike but I am realistic in that I doubt I ever will be able to learn how!

Just wondered how you got on with the classic bikes and rider?

Sorry Grimm I apologise, I can see how that looks. It wasn't so much directed at what you said as 'born' from it . I hope you can understand and forgive me.

I'm very passionate about the lack of progress since 2001 as far as 'Bike Simulators' go.  If you read an earlier post of mine I can indeed fully understand Ride will be a great game for the, shall we say, 'casual gamer' and that's good (heck I will probably get it myself in the summer sale) each to their own que cera cera and all that. But I personally want a Simulator <sob>, a good one, and I want it 10 years ago 

And I'm hoping GpBikes is it.......
