I still fall using my old line near the Apex with deep lean angle.
Will Continue practice :)
I'm in the 39' now...have to find some more Seconds but it's getting Tough now...;)
Don't think i will get into 36'...that's another world right now.....don't have much Time to practice...

@HornetMax:
Wireless Xbox 360 controller for PC with xinput plugin  :)   (bought it for GP Bikes only, because most of you using this one)
Tried another joystick before and got the same issue.
I´m now able to fall not that often at this particular corner due to suspension setting but i still have problems on that part of the track.....
Coming down the decent in 3rd gear, gearing down into 1st , leaning into corner and right in the middle of it i went down to the ground.
I can prevent the fall if i slightly open the throttle....but at closed throttle i definite fall down.
It´s repeatable in every round...
Had a look at the replay but can´t get why this behavior happens...

Do you think i´m doing something wrong?

I have this issue in Phillip Island Turn 10 too (can only play the demo right now), especially at the right hander after the downhill......and i thought it was a fault of my riding style....now i am aware it is a "design" fault....good to know, it destroys several of my laps at this special corner....and i didn´t know why until now  :)

Thank you Piboso.
That will answer my question!  :)

QuoteBut is it a big deal ? I mean, usually you go out with the default gearing, a couple of laps and then you've a good idea of what the right gearing should be ...

No it isn´t  ;)
But it is easier to set each gear acc. to the speed   ;D
You´re right.... been to the race track, driving a final ratio of 15/35 (for example only), hitting brake point at the longest straight in 6th 1500 rpm below redline and i know to gear the final ratio 15/37 or 15/38 to get it in the right way.....vehicle speed doesn´t matter  ;)

To make it short:
@Piboso
Could you explain how the maximum speed behind each gear is calculated?
Thanks for your replies.

To be honest: this way it is now did not make any sense to me....

Driving 6th gear flat out into the rev limiter at (let me guess) 14500rpm hitting 209km/h as a maximum top speed the bike can reach with this gearing but displaying 226 km/h on the gear table within the garage is far away from reality........and i did not see that in any other motorcycle game (e.g. GP500) ;-)

Even in real race life....for example: I´ve driven a 250GP Production Racer for one year on the race track and within the manual was a gearing table for each gear option with a maximum vehicle speed for each gear combination at redline. The printed vehicle speed in the manual was close to the vehicle speed the bike could reach at the fastest part of the track depending on wind and climb of the track. It was easy to get a good gearing within time only by looking into the gear/vehicle speed table.
This is not possible within GPBikes right now  ;)

I´m only looking for improvements :D

From my point of view:
KR: "The stuff that I rode, you took it to the limit was .. how you could hang on, you know".!
Means that you know you´re fast AND you know you´re right on the limit of the machine when it begin to whobble and bend like a wild horse. You know "ok, that´s the point i don´t have to go too far off otherwise i will get hurt..."
KR: "It doesn´t bend and whobble as she stuff that i rode"
Means that you can´t feel the limit on the modern bikes as it was possible in the old ones.
This is caused by missive stiffer frames, massive improvements in tyre technology and also in suspension improvements.
In the past the frames were weak and flexible, the whole motorcycle bend under hard acceleration.... modern frames are developed in another way....they should bend a little in some directions and have to be stiff in other directions. That´s the difficult point at which Ducati struggled....due to modern technology you can build a frame that is stiff as stiff can be BUT the rider is not able to feel the limit anymore.
And you have to ride on the limit as much as you can to be the one on the top of the podium. :D
KR: "we were look out of control when we fell off....these guys don´t look out of control and they fell off"
as described above...due to the modern electronics, modern frames, supensions , tires, etc you can ride much faster today than in the past and the limit is pushed way ahead BUT the area of the limit is small and sharp as a razor´s edge....a little too much and will be thrown into the air...a little to less and you will be 5/100sec slower per lap to get onto the podium  ;)

Regarding to the Subject of this thread:
My personal opinion: Yes, the modern MotoGP is better than the 70/80´s because of the show and the bikes  :D
Especially the last race in Valencia...the 1st 5-6 laps was nice to see....and hopefully the show will be better in 2014 when the middle of the pack will be closer together....no more CRT  :)
Compared to the 90´s i would say that nothing comes close to the seasons 1995-2000. That was the best Motorcyclce racing ever  8)

I don´t think you can go ahead of the factory bikes....but you will have the opportunity to fight for 4th-6th  place :-)
Let´s see which results can be done at  the test today and tomorrow in Valencia.
I´m awaiting also good results from Espargaro and Edwards riding the NGM Yamaha Package  ;D
It will be a very interesting 2014 MotoGp Season  8)

Support / Re: Tracking Setting in GP Bikes?
November 10, 2013, 09:11:10 AM
Isn't it possible to use Freetrack with Trackir5? I know that the Freetrack Developer had to put Out a Patch Version of V2.2 to remove the TrackIr Support, but i assume that the Support is still present with V2.2? I did not tried it due to a lack of Time...

Bug Reports / Re: Gearing
November 09, 2013, 02:32:58 PM
Short answer because i´m in a hurry... ;)

No, it is not possible to achieve it. If i gear it according the displayed gear speed in the garage i have to gear the final drive to 14/37.  This equals to a 6th gear in 31/28 and 226km/h top speed.
If i drive out on the track in this config i achieve a top speed of 206km/ at 14500rpm, 6th gear.

Thank´s for your reply :)

Bug Reports / Gearing
November 09, 2013, 12:20:18 PM
i don´t know if this is the right section....

The gearing of the 125cc in demo mode (don´t know if this makes a difference) is not equal to the speed capable by the bike itself.
for example: i´ve set the 6th gear to: 31/28 Final Drive 15/34 -> 263km/h top speed , but the bike´s top speed is 221km/h out of the track and displayed in the speedo (matched by the datalogger files).
The 125cc is never able to reach the speed displayed behind the gearing  ;)
Is this a bug or is this the way it is until now?

Sorry, i´m new to this game...maybe it´s an old dumb question.

I don´t like the shape of the tail and the lower exhaust personally......but all in all a very clean and nice bike. We´ll see how it will perform especially in the hands of former World Champion Nicky Hayden. I think he will be more comfortable with the Honda as with the Ducati this year  ;)

+1
This would be perfect  :)
I´m astonished about the abilities of "Privatiers" to create a full bike model and get it compatible to GP Bikes.
I know that it is not a secret how to get it done, so i fully appriciate a small tutorial either to get a look behind the barrier  ;D
