Custom hardware / Re: Gamepad with Real FFB
February 26, 2020, 11:32:53 AM
What do you means by ffb ? cause i don't get how a ffb could work on a game pad ..... for the question, gpbikes output ffb, it's a question of the controller who listen to it and translate it to your ffb motor.

I also found the M2 rear a bit agressive but since i never ride a Moto 2 bike (even if i would love to  :P ) i don't know if it behave like that in real world or not, anyway Moto 2 bike is know to be very rear sensitive especially at the time Honda was the engine supplier (cbr 600 engine) and even the road homologated Cbr 600 rr was butal engine brake  !

I think it simply sould be a slider like the (look to apex) slider, So if Vini like exact matching with the rider head he just has to slide full match, and if passerby like how it is now, then he slide it back .....

Hawk > why the hell do you think manufacturer put billion of dollar in motorsport, surely not to use old and no longer used mechanical technology! Motorsport is, first, a R&D area for manufacturer .......

General Discussion / Re: New official track

QuoteHe hasn't really ignored anything, as he's answered most if not all issues as to why he made that decision. As for being pissed off, there are now 2 high quality versions of mugello, why would you want a third? What's to be gained from that aside from dividing the community more, over which version should be run or is better?

Because i voted Mugello not for me, but for the future of GP Bikes.

If i remember well (i might be wrong) Old Assen was added to the poll choice, way later after the poll start. And Mugello was there since the start  :o .

This thread remind me my wife when she ask my opinion about something but since the start she already know what she will do  ;D

Why the hell would Piboso need to give an explanation to why he will not make Mugello if Assen win the poll  ;D .
And as i remember (but as i already said i will no longer dabate on it) it wasn't intend to make a track who will please to people who already own and play GPbikes (and who know there is a ripped Assetto Corsa laserscan of Mugello, with deadly kerbs  ;D ) But to attract new customer with an "official" Moto GP Track which will come with the official installer .... and honestly and and objectively if that was the aim, i don't think Old Assen will correspond to that  :o . But at the end as you said it so good "He decide what the f**k he want with he's product but As a customer who pay 29 bucks, who didn't ask for nothing but who saw :

QuoteSoon, hopefully, work will start on a new official track.

Which one would you prefer?
Please vote ( you can choose two! ) and please write your opinion, too.

Then voted/give the opinion and at the end being ignored, i think at least I have the right to be a little pissed offf ..............

Matty : I just wanted to point out some misunderstanding. What you says was already debated enough in this thread and we all know Piboso do whatever he want despite of what and how pertinent argument we will say !

@Myst1cPrun : Wrong ! Mugello was all the time the lead, but Piboso decide despite the vote to make Assen. If you read earlier page I asked Piboso what is the point of the poll if in the end he ignore it ........

Bug Reports / Re: Oculus VR Flicker Bug

I think it's a motion reprojection issue (if it's enabled) due to you're low fps. I don't understand how the hell can you get such a fps on RTX 2080ti hahaha, i was you i already commit suicide hahahahahha.

GPB on my ancestral setup run solid 90 fps (don't even need asw or motion reprojection) an all that with higher resolution than occulus cause i'm on Acer Windows Mixed reality (1440 x 1440 per eye).

My setup :
Core i5 4460
Gtx 960 2go
8Gb Ram
Latest windows 10.

General Discussion / Re: So, what's next?

@HAwk :

when you write you own engine (like gpb or the original AC1) the base game itself is made of a folder configuration that allows you to make you bike/track via bike ed, export it and then place it in a given folder (bike/track folder) then the game see it easily. IF you open your Assetto Corsa Competizione (wich is made with UE4) steam folder (. all it's content is grouped under an archive (.pak) files wich is a 7Gig single file that you cannot extract with winrar or 7zip. I Don't know if Kunos protect it intentionally (surely) or if you need to recompile the game each time you ad a content via UE4, wich mean you need the source code ......

Also you don't understant what i mean, I will be the first person who will buy beer to the whole forum if one day we get the GPbikes physics + Moto gp 19 graphic and neural AI + GP1 netcode. The thing is that the main thing of gpbikes (the physics) is still not finished, the downhill physic thing, damage model etc ..... So please give time to Piboso to first fix and finish that and then we can retalk about UE4 or not ....and in my opinion, the GPbike graphic engine is not that bad, i think it "just" need to handle PBR material/shader. Look how beautiful and how light is the original assetto corsa with Sol and the custom shader patch ..... even ACC which is 1year old is not that far graphically......

General Discussion / Re: So, what's next?

I'm very disappointed with how the humanity is thinking these days :

1 : Big company ( like Milestone) make AAA games, with a "compromise physic" to attract more people to be able to make profit and pay their hundreds of employee, licences fee. and is forced to make almost 1 new game each years.

Humanity : "Fuck off Milestone, don't mess me with you're eye candy UE4 thing, you'physics sucks, Go hire a really physic developer."

2 : 1 Guy develop an indie motorcycle simulator, with kicking ass physics (still not finished since 10 years), VR support, a ton of mod (almost all existing track), unbeatable input configurability, track ir support,  , and sell it 29 Bucks + a free copy of WRS (a car simulator with also kicking ass physics, especially on dirt) ........

Humanity : "Fuck off Piboso, you're game looks like a 1990's atari title, you're physic is not an excuse to not have eye candy, why don't you switch to UE4 ? it's very easy no ?"

- Guys, you don't even imagine what a nightmare UE4 is and how much work represent switching engine (i'm working in that area so i'know what i'm talking about) ! IF you doubt ask Kunos's guy ! Also you're also forgetting how difficult is to mod an UE4 based game ............

Virtual Reality / Re: Windows MR and rider lean?
June 17, 2019, 07:27:09 AM
Because WMR use inside out tracking, when it looses tracking, only the rotation tracking work until it recover the tracking, sometime it never recover until you re-configure it iny Windows mixed reality portal. Anyway i found it very hard to use DST 2 with VR .... i use G29 wheel

the rider lean works but is 1/1 scale so you really need to lean far from your chair to see it, also make sur to check rider lean vr in option. you can reduce the scale by changing the "linearity" option in controller option page

Anyway the offtrack object is nicer than the old one .....  :)
