This sounds indeed also quite ok from further away, but probably is without db-eater. The stock exhaust sound is not my thing. In general I do not really like the sound of the triples. What I especially hate about the triples is that whining noise you hear when riding onboard or close by (you can hear it from 0:17 to 0:19 in your video). That is an absolute turn-off for me. From far away with a good exhaust it does sound quite decent though  ;)

sounds so much better than the street triples...

I think we are talking many different things now here.

  • There's definitely the thing where the virtual rider tries to pick up the bike by counter-steering when the tires are already on the grip threshold, which causes the front to fold. I think this behaviour can only be removed by either limiting the lean to uncritical values or if Piboso changes the way the virtual rider counter steers in high lean angles (in a way Vin97 described, shifting rider weight for a brief moment to compensate for the steering input - which is what riders in reality do)
  • There is the thing which CapeDoctor describes. I guess we have to wait for his video to be sure what he is referring to. From what I understand it could be the behaviour when accelerating during lean which sometimes causes a small power slide, causing the rear to come around a bit and the front also 'biting' towards the inside of the corner. Maybe it is that what he means?
  • The things mentioned above are most likely unrelated to the inital topic of this thread described as 'Front tyre incorrect slip angle'. But I am not sure whether this is a good title for the behaviour, as I doubt that there is actual front wheel slip happening. What we see is the front wheel somehow being dragged unrealistically which in reality would have translate to front wheel slip. But in GPB I assume it is rather a visual/geometry/resultant force bug which causes it to look like front wheel slip. If there was actual front wheel slip computed by GPB the front tires would overheat and have unusual wear, which I never saw happening. I therefor referred to this problem as 'front wheel misalignment bug' when I pointed it out before.

I prefer the look of this rider

The knees are bent  a bit and he stands more naturally. Especially when wearing a protective leather and protective boots, a rider always has his knees bent a bit. So I think this rider looks much more natural than the last pictures you posted. Only the arms should hang more, obviously ;)

And to make the bike even more ridiculous it actually handles better than my old R6.
Someone told me that back in 2015 I only laughed because I thought he was exaggerating.
But the new R1 actually is more agile than my old R6.
I wish I had the money for a second bike (just yet). I am also pretty in love with the R1. Did you have a chance to ride the 2017 Fireblade and do you know how it compares to the R1? The new Fireblade is also said to have a handling like a 600.

Again, graphics is not just cosmetic. It sets the tone for the whole project. It is extremely unlikely to have a good, realistic game when the art is so cartoonish. A realistic graphics, while no guarantee, would have at least indicated that they were trying.
You probably won't like the way I 'twist' your words. You are correct that the graphics for a project somehow set the tone for a project, they are to some degree the billboard for the project. That is why you should also try to maximize what is coming from your engine (I think that your graphics are quite ok when put to the maximum): Use great textures only, take advantage of good lighting/shadows (especially on cloudy conditions the lighting in your game looks really dull (unrealistically dull) - in real life I still have more vivid colors and better shadows even if the sun is not beaming away), make some post-processing/filters available (to be manually adjustable for the user according to taste), allow for some focal distance processing for replay cameras which would make it more realistic as TV cameras nowadays make use of this stuff and last but not least make for some nice TV style presentation (TV presentation cameras, good TV overlays,...) - this all would add exceptionally to the immersion and would create the illusion of real-life racing events.

Because eventually that's why we play your sims - to have the illusion of really being part of a practice, race etc. And next to the physics, the presentation of the event in a way we see realistic events on TV adds exceptionally to the immersion. And at the moment your sims lack much of this. And new customers could probably think similar to what you stated (I quote again):

It's not quite realistic in GPB, though: The slide needs to be induced at high lean angle and then (almost at the same time) stand the bike up. If you stand the bike up before giving the bike throttle, you won't get a proper slide, unless the tyres are completely gone.
To hold big slides, you have to cut the throttle after the rear steps out and then quickly apply it again to continue the slide and avoid a highside.

Edit: In first and second gear, you can also start a slide at less lean angle but this is not the way to go if your goal are fast lap times.
Very well explained. That's exactly how it is in GPB. And it is one of the reasons I am a bit fed up with GPB at the moment. It does not really feel like a very good simulator for me as it is now. Along with the understeer/front wheel alignment bug, the way the tyre grips/does not grip just does not feel realistic. And unfortunately these are essential things for a motorcycle simulator.

Very sad news and very unfortunate to have this fine man die so young, he had so many good years ahead. But he will be remembered - as a great rider, a true gentleman and a kind and fun person.

It is a good reminder that death is part of life and it can hit each and everyone every day. Let us enjoy life, be good to our loved ones - "carpe diem".

as tough as he is, something tells me Jack is going to feel a little tender today.....  :)
Definitely! ;D  but he is a tough mofo.

I still can't get over the crash from Miller. He was just very very lucky. If that bike would have hit him when coming down first, he probably would have been dead. It is a good reminder that it indeed it is a dangerous sport, just like Salom reminded us last year.

Every rider should make a mental note to not to be braking too hard during lean in turn 1 in Le Mans. He lost traction on the front for a split second and he could not get the bike to lean to the other side and was bound to hit the outside rail. Next rider might not be so lucky. But maybe the other riders are braking smoother there.

He wants to do a extra series of 5 races, which is no championship, where every private team and rider rides electric bikes in an, maybe, 10 round race. Also the best 4 Moto2 drivers will take place in these races. But important is, that this is EXTRA and will not replace current MotoGP Bikes.
Yeah it is additional of course at first. Otherwise fans would be revolting. But it is there to start a transition process for sure. As I said earlier it is all about the marketing. At the moment motorcycle constructors are selling 99,9% combustion engine driven bikes. But in 10 years it might already be 50/50 (or even stronger) in market share between combustion and electronic bikes. In 20 years it will in all likelihood be 99,9% e-bikes. And MotoGP nowadays is the biggest marketing show in the motorcycle market. That's why every major manufacturer (except Kawasaki) tries to establish themselves. And I think it will not make sense to still have combustion bikes in MotoGP if you try to sell electronic driven bikes...

Hija Stout, what you up too?
Hey buddy. I am up to many things except for computer gaming atm ; ) I will try to get in touch with you on Steam, so we can chit chat a little...

As per this this site (german, could not find an english source) Ezpeleta has serious plans for establishing electric bikes in MotoGP. Sooner or later it will be inevitable to have electric bikes in a major racing series. As soon as the major manufacturers happen to sell the majority of their bikes as e-bikes, it will be inevitable I think.
