I dont know but it just seems right that it wont let you downshift lol. In some ways using the rear brake while downshifting stops the clutch and engine braking doing its job. Its the driven wheel.

Probably completely wrong but i get the idea that if all the weight is off the rear wheel and on the front.. that moment you pull the clutch lever to downshift, if your rear braking the rear wheel will slow down too fast.. and likely spit the gear back at you lol

Personally I think the issue lies in the physics simulation between the rear wheel/gearbox/clutch and slipper clutch? If either one of those are not working properly during the braking/engine-braking phases I'd expect the issues we currently see regarding this...... I remember Piboso stating that there are issues with the gearbox physics that need sorting but can't remember if those issues have been addressed as yet? Would be good if Piboso could throw some light on this subject to put us all straight on what's actually happening with this issue.  :)

I feel like the R6 cup bike has very very good rear wheel physics, both in braking and acceleration.

Run GPB, ait for it to "run like crap", look at CPU temperature.

And you will immediately know if you have a thermal issue.

65 degrees max, still get frame drops in the same place at assen... 2 places in the first sector, and the flat out part towards the final chicane is probably the worst, drops to 40's... like i said all temps are fine, ram usage fine, nothing is hitting 100% usage though... wtf?

My pc is the solution to this problem, I get max 40fps so if I can't notice the framedrops  8)

Moto2 Championship 2018 / Re: [Round 6] Aragon

I can see that thecrivi is still put at 18 laps, because you probably thought the game just didn't register it. But he cut the track in lap 4 i think which made him miss the checkpoint and not register the lap. So either he is on lap 17 or maybe give him lap 18 but an extra time penalty :)

I already made a version where the last cp is moved so the cut is not possible anymore, or at least not as easy. I could post the link here if we decide to race that version.

@Teeds do you want me to post it or are we just going to look at laptimes/ replays to determine if someone cut and then give out penalties or disqualifications?

1:56?

Finding all the curved braking zones tricky.

1:56 is pretty good, my fastest quali lap was 1.53.2, most important in aragon is to flow really good and hit every apex.

Does using 1p view fix your online crash problem then MCF?

not using 1p view, going into a 1p view only server fixes it.

Not irrelevent at all

Mod bike and tracks can cause issues with the engine when in fact it can be a MOD issue. The default bikes and tracks are of a Known "good" state and are really the only benchmark.

Not saying mods are bad and they certinally  can be used for testing but a test bed is needed and that comes from the default content.

I said irrelevant to the conclusion, not irrelevant as a whole. Because it is know that the core.exe crash is still there when tested on victoria with the default bikes when servers allows 1st and 3rd person. So this leads me to believe its not a mod problem. But as I said, if piboso wants we can also do the same tests with the default track and bikes.

Hi, i think, perhaps im false, it can be more helpful for piboso to do test with original bikes and track, murasama, 125cc, 500cc, at victoria, because he knows what he did with these.

I think it might be irrelevant for the conclusion but if piboso wants us to do those tests i'll be happy to try and make it happen :)

In the first post I read that just a guy has tested this...

I asked damonboss to do several tests. He logged onto his dads pc to test this. His dad (his pc and account) always had these kind of crashes.

@Wimp

What bikes were being used just out of interest??

behind every line in the test proces it says the track and bikes, but tested bikes were moto3, cagiva mito 125 and moto2

I don't understand,  this solution "server side"  works for any guys with the 1 lap crashes or its a your assumptions?

I mean its pretty clear in first post i think. If the server only allows 1st person the game doesn't crash (for the people that have the crash in 1 lap or less). But if the server allows 3rd and 1st person, then the game does crash for the people who have this problem.

This difference that causes the game to crash or not to crash might help piboso locate the problem and fix it.

Many people have this problem, i think more than 10 people

But you mean the "1 lap or less core.exe" I talk about the issue in the first post...

its the same thing?
