I can completely understand that you receive some commercial proposal as your tool has a clean, simple yet powerful interface.
It is very nice to use (I enjoy it a lot).


Maybe a silly question, but don't you want to open-source your code (or share it with other dev/players) so other could add features and maintain it between new versions ? I get it also if you want to keep the code private, no problem here ;)

Hello,
One thing that is easy to change and would be much easier to read:
In the analysis view, instead of making the best sector bold, underline them (or do both).

Playing in VR, it is quite difficult to see where the best sector is.
For example : https://prnt.sc/jspdag

In this screenshot, all the best sectors are displayed but it is really hard to see them:
T1 12.265 / T2 7.886 / T3 12.445 / T4 13.131

Yes, I know it is easy to do it, but currently the Mega folder is a mix between .rar / .zip / .pkz
It would be nice to clean them (to have only pkz).

Quick question:
Could we not convert all tracks into .pkz ? That way, a sync of the mega folder could be done (official tool here: https://mega.nz/sync).
Or put all the pkz into a FTP server as well.

The same could be done with the bikes (though the FTP works really well and has no day limits).

I could help convert them into .pkz if needed ;)

Hi Max,

Mclaren Atlas is definetely not free: the 2 versions (lite and normal)  requires both a dongle according to their website

If you want to have some export option, there is Circuit Tools which is free and has an open (and documented) format:

Might be interesting to have an export option, but it does not bring much more compare to your tool. I prefer MaxTM visualisation.
(It is normally used to have both video and data displayed. Could be really fun to have with GPB replays, but it requires too much work)



I am still using your tool and find it very useful and easy to use.

I have noticed some points that could be improved (or that I didn't found):
* if MaxTM is running and a new TM file is saved/created, have an option to automatically open/add it to the current workspace. That way, a simple alt+Tab to MaxTM gives access to the latest run and start the analysis right away.
* Automatically reload the last graph panels used (actually I need to reopen them each time)
* Have the option to always center the track panel depending on the cursor position (when zoomed)
* Have the ability to detach the graph panels (to have more than one displayed)
* Have an option to display the segments in track panel + graph (to know where the sectors are)
* Maybe some kind of csv import to have a more generic tool? (But this point is not related to GPB)

If you need some help, I also have learned and used Qt for small projects and can implement some parts.

Hello,

I would like to know if some kind of hour counter already exists, to know how many time was spent riding GPB.
It should count either when on track or when game is launched.
Is there such feature?

Also, in a session (local or online) it would be nice while to have a way to compare our previous personal best lap, sectors and ideal lap (not to be seen by other player).
And maybe a way to reset it (in case someone faster plays on the PC, my brother for example :P).

Small bug already reported in the MaxHUD thread : the plugin only displays if the FPS is active. Otherwise it is not visible.

It is funny, because I can see that MaxHud is active when there is a message (people connecting /disconnecting / chat / ...).
Only when this is displayed, do I see the MaxHud as well.

Do you want me to run some tests? Or do you need more info? Or should I open a topic to report the bug for Piboso?

Hi Max,
I noticed that MaxHUD is not working in VR.
Is it a known bug? Is the problem on the plugin side or on the engine side?
It's really a shame as I love the plugin in 2D version and I really miss it in VR.

Like many here, I started playing in 3PV, but quickly switched to FPV.
I feel the reactions of the bike better in this view, and find it easier to place the wheel where I want.
It is true that you have not the same peripheral awereness in FPV, but on a pure driving perspective, you have a better immersion.

Give it a try. It is not easy as first because you need to rebuild your marks, but it comes quickly.
Driving with Oculus is also very entertaining, because you can move your head where you want to go and you have some kind of peripheral awereness.

Ideal would be to better differentiate the sounds from your engine from the one of the others around (actually it is not that easy).

Short update :
After trackED is left, before is right.


However, it looks like GPBikes requires 3 splits and I need to update the splits for each track as well.
(the screenshot doesn't work, neither left or right. If I regenerate the splits, then it works fine).
Could someone confirm this? Is it possible to have only 2 splits?

Thanks for the confirmation. I will update the racedata then and upload them to the database.

I find it quite fun to ride on small racetrack (mostly Skuza, LaConca, Lonato, Zuera, 7Laghi at the moment as they work fine).
With great pleasure for mini Laguna Seca ! It should be really fun !!
