General Discussion / Re: Swing arm pivot

Exactly. If you check the geometry file, there are 2 parameters called chassis_rsusp_min and chassis_rsusp_max.

They have actually the same position set, so if you move the pivot, you will move it between the same position  ;D ;D

Well, they don't have MotoGP around there ;D ;D

(just a small note : it is Balls of Steel (not Stell))

Great footage and riding  :D

The road seems a bit wider than in real life.

Support / Re: GP Bikes beta4b - problem
January 14, 2014, 08:45:52 AM
@Pkha: Do you have another PC available?
Try to install GPB on it, enter your licence and go online.
If this doesn't work, this mean there may be a problem in the game or with the registration server.

If this works, this mean you have a problem with your current PC.
In this case, you may want to:
1. Completely uninstall GPB
2. Clean your register with CCleaner or TuneUp utilities for example
3. Restart your computer
4. Reinstall GPB beta4

Keep us posted ;)

Thanks PiBoSo ;)

Could you detail what are the latest changes?
Has it an influence for modders?

Hello everyone! my first post here, and I wish all you, everything good.

It is very surprising, that <GP Bikes> has no support "XBOX 360". I have G27 Would you believe it or not, But I didn't even try to start with G27. )) I hope, PiBoSo will be work about this, and <GP Bikes> will be support "XBOX 360" soon as possible.
Actually, all you need to play with a wired 360 controller is the drivers from MS : http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/p/xbox-360-controller-for-windows#support

Then when you launch the game, you need to calibrate the controller first (in settings) and asign the commands and it will work without any troubles ;)

You don't need XInput (at least, I don't have it installed and it works just fine).

Exactly : if you increase the preload, you will need more weight to make the suspension working (working point is shifted).
I will solve this issue on the next release by putting the collision sphere a bit higher ;)
No need to preload then

@Warlock: I identified the problem with Ali  :)
It will be fixed in the next release.
I will try to keep the fairing touch on the road version (but maybe a bit less than actual) and put the collision sphere again higher for the SSP version ;)

Could you not add at least the moderator (HornetMaX, Ricco) to help you with the content?

And about the other questions?  :)

This is a good idea !
Who can add content on this wiki? Are you the only one?

I also started one to document (or try to) the different config files there http://gpbikes-mods.wikia.com
I can continue on yours if you want.

Could you describe how the front fork linkage?
Specially these parameters: steer_mass, steer_joint, front_upper, grip_leftpos, grip_rightpos, front_length, front_lower, fsusp_mass, fwheel
That would greatly help !!!

I was not speaking about upside-down or normal fork.
If we look at the screenshot from Piboso, the fork offset seems negative (go back toward the rear) compared to the chassisSteer point (which is where the contact between the chassis and the fork is done).

It is like the triple clamp is not mounted toward the front, but toward the rear wheel).  :o

Suggestions and wishlist / Re: Track IR Support Please.
January 10, 2014, 11:03:39 PM
Did you found the version 2.2 (the latest one doesn't have the TrackIR support. It has been removed ;)

If this doesn't work and the mouse emulation doesn't work too, you may ask Piboso but I don't know if he has time to implement another tracking system :S

Check the model I used (file is attached to this message) with this applet : http://www.geogebra.org/webstart/geogebra.html (simply open the file there).

My problem is to find how it is referenced as there is 3 different reference system for the fork : the chassis, upper fork and lower fork.

I don't manage to put everything in the right order for now :S

It also looks like the fork is mounted reverse on the scooter according to the screenshot from PiBoSo.

I am happy for any help as I already look into it for a few hours without finding the correct reference for the front.  :-\

Yes, of course. The tool is multilingual and at the end you will only push sliders and move some coordinates. ;)

But for the moment I need to complete the fork model !!!
