Thanks Max...that's resolved my problem with Oulton crashing, but Catalunya is still doing the same...it doesn't crash core.exe, it' just has a completely black background other than the bike!

The zip file contains the folder - CATALUNYA_CLASSIC_LS_NDS but outside of this folder there's a load of other files -rainsky.edf, marshalls.cfg etc which I've tried dropping in the same folder, i've also tried dropping them in a few other locations with no joy - where are these files supposed to be copied to?

Newbie question - downloaded this track but when I come to play it, all I can see is the bike and a black background - it seems the walls etc are all there because I run into them, but can't see anything at all! Any ideas? Thanks,

Some cracking shots/vids guys, kept me well entertained browsing through this morning! Great to see we have our own "proper" racer as well in Meyer, looking good buddy i'll deffo keep my eyes peeled for your name in the future  8)

I've been wobbling around tracks for a few years now on my trusty 05 R6 (I notice GPB still needs one developing btw ;) ) I tried my hand at a couple of club rookie races in 2013 but then a career change meant I only just managed to keep my bike let alone race her...but now things are becoming a little more stable and i'm getting in a few more trackdays this year, I'm hoping to complete a full rookie season next year...I won't be competetive like some of the guys here, but it's an addiction that needs fuelling, even if I'm stone dead last!

Here's a few pics:

First ever trackday, guess the track:

First ever race:

Calm the nerves with a pre-race chicken dance  ???

Trip to Cartagena in 2016 - gutted not to get my elbow down lol:

I've only managed to get to Oulton and Rockingham so far this year but hoping to squeeze in a Donington, Silverstone and Brands in prep for next year so at least I know which way to leave the pits - unlike my first try of GPB!

We should try getting a GPB trackday organised!  8)

Do you think the GPX is worth forking out for then rather than a One pad?
I like the look of those thumb grips, i do feel like a lot of my issues are due to lack of control on the pad - its not easy to remain consistent when your thumb keeps slipping off the thumbstick because all the rubber's perrished  ;D

ooooooo yess!! Oulton is quite possibly my favourite place on the planet so this has made me a happy bunny....if only I could progress past Philip Island  ;D

Nice work, where can I download??

Thanks Meyer, I'll give a Moto3 bike a try...I've just tried a 2016 R6 Cup which felt a lot nicer and easier to turn in than the CBR I was using so i'll try with that as well.

How do I get online with it? Literally the only thing i've done is lap Philp Island very slowly so i'm not sure the world's ready for my shocking riding yet  ;D

Xbox One reciever is on order!

Hi Hawk!

Yes, I suppose some actual information may indeed help, rather than me just whinging...

So i'm using a fairly old genuine 360 pad - I also have a One controller so I was thinking of upgrading my PC wireless reciever if you think it's worth it?

As for settings I have the following:

Direct Lean - 15%

Lean
DZ - 15%
Lin - 50%

Throttle/Braking
DZ - 0%
Lin - 100%

Rear Brake/Clutch
DZ - 20%
Lin - 50%

As I mentioned, i'm a complete newbie with PC gaming/sims so not sure what to look for/change really!

The bike i've had most success with is the 125GP - I like the seamless up/down shifts without need to clutch, and trail braking seems to be quite easy compared to something like the CBR 600. But the lack of edge grip seems to keep catching me out when I start to get any confidence...

Thanks in advance for any help!

No problem at all Mike! It was actually a [Ride2] review of yours which brought me to GPB so it's nice to repay the favour, although it also feels like I have you to blame for many hours of frustration haha!

Yes it would be great to come see you guys if possible, it's going to be a hectic few days for you though so we'll see how it goes ey!

Support / Help me please before I lose my marbles!!!

I'm sure i'm not alone here, but as a newbie to GPB, and simulators/PC gaming in general...i'm really struggling!

I downloaded GPB back in February and feel like i've progressed about 0.2%...if my GPB timeline was evolution, i'd still be bacteria floating around in the ocean.

I've played it on and off since Feb, totalling probably around 300 laps of Victoria...i'd say 5-10% of those are without crashing. As a general rule I probably crash 2-3 times a lap, which means i'm now great at doing u-turns and slow manouvers....but let's face it, i'm not here to do my CBT.

I've tried slow and steady and i've tried riding the bike pretending i'm Rossi. I've tried stock 600's, 125 2 strokes, GP, moto2 bikes but it just seems like luck if I complete a lap without crashing no matter how or what I ride.

So i'm here asking....begging...pleading for any tips for a complete rookie like me - please, before my laptop feels the wrath of the living room window!!

I dunno, maybe I should just stick to watching motorbike racing and playing candycrush  :-[
