Hi guys

So finally got my website started and published. Just started learning Wordpress so it is a bit basic to start with. I have a GPBikes section that will cover everything GPBikes and want to ask all if it is okay to post pictures and videos from anyone here. I think its best to ask before I do. I need YOUR stuff because its about the community and not just about the Simulation itself, but about all of the community that goes with it.

As the mod bikes need to be updated it may get very confusing and hard to track which ones have been updated and will lead to many bike mismatches online, so maybe a thread could be started where there is a clear list of bikes updated by the modder who made it to keep things in order. New members would benefit from this too.

Hi Guys

I have set up a database for GPBikes Trainer Files. This is WIP so give me time to figure it out.

PLEASE Name your files as follows so I can know where to put them:

Track Name (As the track folder name says) - Bike CLASS - Bike MODEL - Lap Time

EXAMPLE:  A1 Ring v2.2_NDS WSBK17 R1M 1.38.trn

It may be the name can only 32 or less letters so try to remove some spaces, underscores and v for version.

Maybe you will need to give this info when posting a trainer and the name can be BIKE CLASS - BIKE MODEL - TIME

I MUST have all details to build the data base

Your names are sometines too long can be a problem too for in the file name. I will make it as easy as I can to find the trainers you want but it will take time to set it all up.

Hi Guys

As we now have Trainer that we can swap between each other and actually then learn from each other I intend to setup a Database for this.

What you guys think. I would do it by tracks as that is how it would need to be and then by bike so you can find what you want to real easy. Files would need to either be sent to me or we can figure something out.

Hi guys, so just got my Dashboard in and starting to figure how to make it all fit and work on the Hs3.

Heres a few pics with it just sitting on TheFREAKS Hs3 to see what it will look like. (Being reassembled this weekend then of to Portugal)



Gonna make it so it just slips on from the top of the main plate for older systems to use it as an option as well.



It was missing the instructions but found some I think will help online for wiring it to a Sym-Projects controller which I need to still get and find how to make it all fit and look pretty lol

So I remember this from GTR2 and loved it but it is the longest race track in the world from the old days.

Finally got it figured out!!!

No more potentiometers for brakes and clutch, no more bloody hunting for the right springs and a shite load less 3D printing lol.

So here be the Handlebars with Front Brake and Clutch units to match other parts on the system. Still a work in progress but will be finished with new parts I ordered.



As you can see still got to test clutch but waiting on new parts. The Transducer for the brake is also gonna be replaced as it is only 150psi and getting 300psi units for clutch and front brake. Transducers fit behind the new all Ali back cover too.





Rear Brake is GSX-R1000 Rearsets with GSX-R750 Mastercylinder and 500psi Transducer.



Waiting on a 90 degree elbow to hide the transducer better and protect it.

So to some facts about using them. I used 10W40 motor oil instead of brake fluid as it works 100% and can be shipped where as brake fluid can not by all shippers. It sorks as I say just like brake fluid.

Found that when you calibrate in Windows, you can adjust how much presssure you want to aplly at the end point by simply not pressing too hard or as hard as you want. This makes it adjustable to how you use the brakes. Same in GPB and setting up for x360ce. This is such a welcome discovery as it really makes for a much better personal yet realistic feel for the first time. WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!

I think if it all works out, ALL Hs3 systems will come standard with full hydraulic units at very little extra cost, maybe an extra 50 quid on top which I think is bloody good.

Hi guys thought it best to explain it a bit more and what way I find safest to not disturb your profile etc etc

You must first download the mods................DOH

Track Database: Track Database

Bike Database: Bike Database

Helmet Database: Helmet Database

Paints Database: Paints Database

Riders Database: Riders Database

Go to the GP Bikes Tracks folder and right click on the track you want to download and then select Standard Download

You must make an extra folder for your mods, for example I make a folder on C drive and call it "gpb" then I make a folder in that called "mods". Now in the mods folder make a folder each for "tracks", "bikes", "rider" and "tyres" make sure to name them as I have or GPBikes wont recognise them.

Then add the following to the core.ini file in your GP Bikes install folder
:

folder=c:\gpb\mods\


You also need to unpack the original "misc" folder in your GPBikes install folder and add mods to that folde, this is becaus misc mods dont aleays work if outside the install folder. Dashes, Stands and Effects  go in the misc folder

If a mod will not show ingame make sure you dont have a mod in a mod names folder, ie:  tracks/ Le Mans/Le Mans/ all track files. This can happen when unpacking the mod.

If you run a server, all you need to do if it is on the same computer is add the mod lines to the server core.ini and it will use your gpb games mods so you dont have to do it all again!!!

I cant add Mod bikes to dedicated server, tried different ways but cant find the right way lol

I tried to set up a dedicated server using the Nords_LS_NDS track and GP1000

It showed on the server page and in my GPBikes world screen but when I tried to join just went to joining screen and showed no syncing just cancel button and then when I canceled, stopped the server and then changed it to victoria  it showed as Nords LS still on the webpage and in GPB even when I turned the server OFF???

It seems the main GPB server kept it as ON

Any clues?

EDIT: I actually cant join ANY servers I see in world screen too?

PS: If you dont wish to do a public version could you do it for me to ride on my own at least OR can you give permission to have it updated by Manu or another modder so we get to have this brilliant bike again in GPB?

I have found in testing the EdTracker with 2 units that in windows it is fine but GPB only let one work.

Now the drop down list of controllers connected in calibration screen shows 6 different edtrackers from different boots of gpb and is very confusing.

How can I clear this list?

I cant say just yet why but this is VERY important for GPBikes and myself.
