The 2002 mod bikes have a different tyre physics to the other historic bikes, they have less grip and less lean angle, they were the first tyres on a motogp and they shared them with the 500cc bikes that raced with the motogp bikes. That's why they are slower tyres than the other bikes, apart from the fact that their engine specification is different.
