Hi,
I think newer graphic cards are more efficient.
Just compare the GTX770 and GTX970. 35% Lower TDP -> http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-970-vs-GeForce-GTX-770
A good way to calculate the PSU you need, is this site: http://www.enermax.outervision.com/

Plugins / Re: Proxy plugin

Ah yes, because pBuf is already a pointer, you're right.

The memcpy is not working for me, also when I put it in the while loop. So I use your lineSProxyData_t *p = (SProxyData_t *) pBuf;and now it works perfect.
Thank you.

Hi MaX,

I think I see my mistake. I only copied the pBuf once in the data-field at the beginning of my program, so it isn't updated. I try this when I'm at home. If it's not working I post the rest of my code.
Thank you MaX.

Hi PiBoSo,

is there a way to test the output of the plugin. I compiled it as a .dll and copied it as a .dlo in the plugins folder. Then I used the two lines of your first post in another program to read the output. I used the following code lines to copy the *pBuf Data to a SProxyData_t Object:
SProxyData_t data;
memcpy(&data, &pBuf, sizeof(SProxyData_t));
while(1)
{
printf("%f\n", data.m_sData.m_fRPM);
Sleep(500);
}

The problem is, that the m_fRPM field is empty.

Thanks, Obelix90

Bug Reports / Trouble with FM7 RX
November 02, 2014, 01:32:35 PM
Hi,

we (Steven and me) tried the Beta5 the last few days and it makes a lot of fun and the physics feel really real in my opinion. But we got a lot of problems when driving with the FM7 (fmk7_rx).
We tried to reproduce the bugs with the other cars but there are no problems.

  • Ghost car in multiplayer (LAN and online)

    •
    • I can see Steven's car, but he can't see my car
    • It's not better, when he enters the track after me (because of the skin loading)
  • Black screens

    •
    • The background of the garage is black, instead of the car standing in the garage (this is reproducible)
    • When going to track, everything is black and only the "Pit Limiter" message shows up
  • No moter sound

    •
    • There is no motor sound but the sound of the turbocharger (the car is drivable)
  • No driver besides the car in the menu after disconnecting from server or leaving "Testing"
  • No driver and no car in menu after connecting and disconnecting a second time
  • and a lot of core.exe bugs everywhere  :o :)
Maybe anyone else could try to reproduce these bugs.
We use two different laptops. One with Win7 (Core i5, Nvidia GT540M) and one with Win8.1 (Core i5, AMD HD5650).

Thanks, Obelix90.

Do you know, how to change the color of the rear wing?

Hi,

I'm trying to create a new track for GPB with Blender too. My problem is also the converting with the fbx2edf tool. When I'm trying to convert it, it crashes.
I named the track object TRKASPH and don't have another object in the scene. I'm not sure about the options when exporting the fbx file in Blender. I will attach a picture of the menu.
Did anyone do this before?
