Never thought I would hear Jamoz speak words of love and joy.

Live long and prosper Jamoz.
Guess he's drunk again  ;D

General Discussion / Re: Need help braking

I use the xbox 360 controller and never touched the deadzones or smoothness, in case there is nothing wrong with your controller you should not need to change this.

First of all, there is some subjectivity in "extremely early" braking, do you compare this to other games, other riders or real life?

I always start with setting the front leverage braking to 20mm to get more feeling in it. Try to apply full braking power (when not in an angle of course) as quick as possible but with a smooth trigger motion so that the rear doesn't come up. Do this while pulling back on one of the stick so that your rider leans backwards. Once nearing the turn in point slowly release pressure and turn the bike in. Using the rear brake in the corner widens your line so shouldn't be used all the time. If you want to adjust your line whilst in the corner tap the rear brake (i have it on a button not a trigger) to tighten the line of the bike.

But since this doesn't seem to be the general consensus, then let's push the pedal to the metal, and split in more and more nations, until we have a state for each city, maybe the final result will be the same  ;D
In or out the EU/UK, we are all screwed anyway so why bother  ;D. Any thoughts on real issues such as the Gaza conflict, Syria, The Fappening, IS, Ebola or Ukraine while you are at it ? ;)

In first person shooter terms it would be a life. So if I fall, that is one bike gone. The host could set the number of bikes you are allowed, per session. Practice could be unlimited, 3 bikes for qualifying, 2 for race, etc.
Let's see how many people will finish a race with limited bikes whilst there are only a few that do it in the current situation. I would love bike damage in some form but I am affraid that it will be too harsh for unexperienced players and will end up with a situation where finishing a race automatically results in a spot on the podium. Aside from this, having multiple bikes during a race is not really realistic and having a crash during the race knocking you out will create a lot of frustration, especially when it is not your fault.

If we are talking realism anyway... I would rather see the "walk to bike" option from SBK2001 where you would have to run back to the bike once you crash it. Although hard for piboso to implement (walking system and a bunch of other animations), this would definitely keep you more immersed in the experience and having a big crash usually means you have to walk further as well.

Suggestions and wishlist / Re: Rear brake

I constantly use the rear brake since it will save me more than a few tenths a lap. I would rather not use it since it also makes me fall off occassionaly but the benefits outweight the downsides by a lot.

As I always understood it, the rear brake is almost never used like we do it in GPbikes, to tighten the corners. As bob mentioned, it will create more stability when braking (that is what i see the Motogp guys do) but i never see them using it in the corners. Not using it in Gpbikes means it will be very hard to be competitive and that is why I use it. Lowering the effect of the rear brake is fine with me since that will probably be more realistic.

Sounds to me like you have your Wheelie help activated... try turning it off in simulation settings.
I would say the same based on that video..

As much as I would like to see any Dutch road racing tracks in GPbikes, I have to be honest and say that those from Great Brittain are usually more exciting (height difference, scenery) and would rather have someone put their time in creating those.

Thanks Peter for the stats. Getting my picture on the front page makes the practice all worth it  8). Nice to see that everyone showed up on race day, seems like your blacklist is working :)

But only a little question... Nds it's one of the causes of core.exe?
It seems to be one of the causes as all events with NDS tracks have little to no core.exe problems. Last oldschool event, only one or two happened during practice but as far as I know none during the race (18 laps with 15 bikes). As some of the core.exe might have something to do with people connecting and disconnecting, NDS won't help to solve those during the practice session.

Well that work was not for nothing. Once Piboso fixes the issue with the dynamic surfaces, those tracks will be in full demand again. And as I have no clue how much work it is removing it, it will probably be less than implementing.

I think if you fall 2 or 3 times by laps you use a lot more fuel, and it can be the reason you didn't have enough fuel.
I think that only makes a few tenths of a liter difference. When i had some bad laps in practice a few days back, the fuel use per lap (varese) was no more than 1.10L. That can't make the difference then. Maybe Toomes had the wrong setup selected? Did he manually check it before the start?
