Hi Guys.

Thought this PDF file -  F1 setup guide for setting up your cars would be of great use to you all for understanding how to setup a car and what does what on a car, etc, etc.

Download Link(Don't use Internet Explorer on MEGA as it rarely works - Use the Chrome Browser) : https://mega.co.nz/#!nc8QHRIY!7AQSnRd9EfoNzGyVsZIppuOrIgnVrrUjV5X2mKR3ctI

Hi Guys.

How do you adjust the brake pedal pressure/travel?

What's happened to the online servers list? All I'm getting is connection error box appearing before even the list of servers appears.  :(

Anyone know what's happening?

Hi guys.

I've noticed something that doesn't seem correct from my experience: When you are leaned over and apply the front brake, the bikes lean angle decreases and therefore the bikes turn rate markedly decreases with it. As far as I can remember this doesn't happen in real life(Though I'm getting on a bit now, and remembering exactly what happened when I used to race is not always clear. Hehe). Don't get me wrong, I know that when you apply front brake on a bike in a turn that the bike wants to lift up, but as I remember, you can easily counter that force to stop it happening during the turn, in GP Bikes it does it and you cannot stop it until you stop apply the front brake. Is this correct?

Can anyone whose had recent real experience racing bikes comment on this action? Thanks ;D

Do the "Bump" and "Rebound" settings actually work on GP Bikes?

I tested them at the extremes of the settings and hardly felt any difference in the handling of the bike at all. Test bike was on the Verase 500cc bike.
Now surely these settings, in co-operation with the other suspension settings, that are supposed to help keep the tyres on the track surface at all times over, undulations, bumps, acceleration and braking phases, these settings should be vital to be set correctly otherwise you would surely risk some scary moments on track?

General Discussion / Question about the Virtual Rider?
February 05, 2014, 11:07:08 PM
A simple question/s really: I'm just curious as to how much, if ever, the virtual rider has any input in controlling the bike? And if it is the rider that is controlling the bike, then are we actually controlling the bike or the rider? Or maybe a bit of both?

Could be quite a brain teaser this one. Hehe :)

Mods / Creating New Riders for Mod Bikes......
January 31, 2014, 12:54:08 AM
I'm going to be creating bikes from the 1960's up to mid 1980's. Now the riders from those era's look different to the modern day riders of the modern era(talking about the leathers), in particular they didn't have the hump on their backs.
I'd like to create new riders for my Mod bikes; I presume it is possible to Mod riders and styles of riding(animation) just the same as it is possible to create and add Mod Bikes? I also presume that it would just be a case of replacing the mesh and animation files and then altering certain config/ini files(which ones and what needs to be taken into consideration in these files?) to achieve this objective.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated and would also be of great value to the information being collected for GP Bikes modders.

Tracks / Paul Ricard - Track Ratings Poll.
January 21, 2014, 09:18:05 PM
Results will be added to the new GP Bikes Online Server Track Ratings List which can be found at the base of 1st post in the "Track Downloads" thread.

With the new mod bikes making an appearance recently in GP Bikes, I and others have noticed that particulary with the R6, the performance of the physics and ridability of the bike/s, especially on tracks were riding a default bike was pretty pointless, due to what was presumed the track being very bumpy on certain corners(and some still are), I have to raise the question:

Is it the fault of the tracks or the bikes that cause/d a large number of tracks to be previously almost unrideable before the appearance of the current mod bikes(Especially with regards to the R6)?

A lot of work and talent has been implemented to get the R6 physics correct, so I'm thinking that maybe the physics on some other bikes(Not all), especially default bikes is way out and therefore the reason they cannot cope with the bumps and undulations on certain tracks?

So is it the case that when all bikes physics have been corrected, that track performance will greatly improve without(to a great extent) the need for track modders to smooth certain track surfaces?

Has anyone else noticed this?

Hawk.

PS: @Admins - Not sure if this is in correct forum catergory? Put it here because it is related to modders with the question of performance in relation to track/bike modding. :)

Hi Guys.... I need your help.  :)

I'm running one poll every seven days to get a true community rating for each track used on dibu's online servers. I'll post the results of these ratings in a "Track Ratings" list in the "Track Downloads" thread.
I believe this will not only help the community to know which tracks are the best to ride on, but it will also help the modding community to know which tracks need to be brought up to date or rebuilt from scratch.

I'll create a new poll for a different track every seven days selected by alphabetical order taken from the "Tracks Downloads" MEGA database link.

I'd like you to judge each track more on it's rideability and not wether it's your favourite track, or looks good or not, and if you are not familiar with a track in the poll, please test the track before you vote. Thanks :)

Thank you all for your participation.
;D

PS: I would really like to put more polls up at one time, but I don't think the admins would appreciate SO many polls/threads created all at once.
