@peterv
Thank you for your reply. But I've only used 4.8Mbs of 2GBs space in my dropbox account, so I doubt whether the problem comes from there ! However I could be wrong ?

@all members
I would therfore be gratefull if I may explain the proceedure I use more fully, to try to find the answer to my problem.

1  Put a copy of my Skin/Paint file into my dropbox account folder.
2  Get file linked with link number.
3  Open GP Bikes Forum, Select Mods/paints/ New topic.
4  Type small amount of description of my intent
5  Copy and paste dropbox link number into topic.
6  Select 4 jpegs through the Add Atachment feature
7  Look at Preview to make sure of no mistakes. This shows all typing and dropbox link as a proper link, but no jpegs can be seen in the preview screen. Where the add attachment input is that shows the name of the first of 4 jpegs for attachment.
8  Post
9  Get  "An Error Has Occurred!
The upload folder is full. Please try a smaller file and/or contact an administrator."

When this last happened I sent the Ducati GP 8.pnt withount any jpegs quite okay using proccedures 1 to 5 above, the problem seems to occour when attaching the jpegs.

Today 5/04/2014 tried to send the 4 jpegs on their own but got the same result
"An Error Has Occurred!
The upload folder is full. Please try a smaller file and/or contact an administrator."

Now 12:45 BST I have managed to send the file link without the jpegs to gp bikes  forum mods/paint,

So Is my proceedure correct, or am I making some silly mistake somewhere with what I'm doing when posting.

If anyone can help me here I will be most gratefull

Many thanks for reading

Paints / My Skin Honda rcv 213 Seajay #64
April 05, 2014, 11:41:48 AM
Hello
My skin of Honda RCV 213 Seajay #64 with 60's theme of Castrol, Champion, sponser motives, black leathers, blue helmet with "Mike Hailwood" style of gold and red trim.

Been trying to send this skin/paint with jpeg attachments but keep getting a problem with "An Error Has Occurred!
The upload folder is full. Please try a smaller file and/or contact an administrator."
So I try sending without jpegs
Thank you

When trying to send a skin/paint Honda RCV 213 Seajay #64,  I have this problem again

Small amount of typing explaining what I'm sending.
Four Jpegs of 29.5, 41.3, 48.8, 73.6. total 189 kbs.
One link to dropbox.

Press send I get
"An Error Has Occurred!
The upload folder is full. Please try a smaller file and/or contact an administrator."

This happened to me sometime ago when sending the link for my skin for Ducati GP 8, in the end I just sent the dropbox link and no pics.

I have looked in the mods section today 04/04/2014 and see other people can send in their skin pictures okay.

Does anyone know if I am doing anything wrong, or is it pot luck if one can send small jpegs ?

Any advice would be welcome

Thank you

Support / Trying to resubmit my skin
February 12, 2014, 02:18:21 PM
I have been trying to send an update to a post containing a link to my skin for a Ducati  GP 8 Seajay 64 that I sent to the PAINT MOD forum yesterday 12/02/2014. I have changed the text of the message slightly and attached 4 jpegs which I missed sending with that post.

The size of the jpegs are 16.7kb, 23.8kb 24.2kb, 21.6kb, total 86.6kb's.

When posting I get an error message telling me that "The upload folder is full. Please try a smaller file and/or contact an administrator".

The restrictions on  attachments say 4 per post total size 400kb, max individual size 200kb.

Well 86.6kb is a long way off 400kb.

Am I doing something wrong by attaching 4 jpegs or is the system not working?

Any help would be welcome

Thank you

Paints / Skin Ducati GP 8 Seajay 64
February 11, 2014, 09:33:45 PM
I submit my first Seajay 64 paint of Ducati GP 8.

The helmet design I copied from Mike Hailwood's apart from the colour blue, the gold/red is as close as I can manage. As you will no doubt see I come from the 60's time when black leathers ruled and Castrol, Champion and Dunlop logos were the names that mattered
Great days !

Other skin/paints will follow in future if this link works, and all are WIP , as my painting skills are not what I would describe as good.

Anyway below is the link, hope it works as I've never done this before.

@peter v

Thank you for your reply. I have opened a Dropbox account and will try to put a paint into the Paints file.

I used the "Cold Turkey" name as reference only, as I'm not up to speed yet regarding competing with the rest of you just yet, so I wont be entering this event that you are organizing now.  My name would be mud if I knocked anyone off !
Anyway next time maybe ?

Support / A question about skins
February 11, 2014, 03:07:39 PM

I've been painting the colours and numbers on the bikes I wish to use in GPB, and need an answer to a question or two.

1. If I wish to join a sever for a practice a session, do I have to send copies of my bikes (Skins) to someone at GPB before my bikes can be seen ?

2. If I wish to participate in any online event, (say the Cold Turkey event), again do I have to send copies of my bikes to someone at GPB ?

3 If I have to send copies of my Skins, how do I send then, and is it just a picture, or do I have to send the complete file ie Seajay 64.pnt to someone.

Thank you

Support / Re: Problem since Mod V1.3.1
January 28, 2014, 08:28:14 PM
Thank you all for your replies

Deleted the scooter and then reinstalled it again, and on the R6 and GP8 I can now connect to Track 21 server okay.

Tomorrow I will have more time to test the rest, and my gut feeling is that it will work fine.

Many thanks again for your help

Support / Problem since Mod V1.3.1
January 28, 2014, 01:00:04 PM
Everything worked okay up to Mod V1.3.0 then along came Mod V1.3.1

From that moment I have had problems trying to connect to the servers. In particular the following while using Yamaha R6.

Hotlap +MOD 1.3.1 - R6 Victoria  Joins OKAY.

Track 21 +MOD 1.3.1 open  Victoria  "Data Mismatch"
Track 21 +MOD 1.3.1 open  Assen    "Data Mismatch"
Track 22 +MOD 1.3.1 open  Albi       "Data Mismatch"
Track 25 +MOD 1.3.1 open  Brands Indy  "Data Mismatch"

Track 19  Training Dry Groove open  " Bike unknown to server"
Max dedicated server                      "Data Mismatch"

I have gone to the trouble of downloading all known mods including helmets and all paints and have done a reinstall of bikes, helmets, and paints, of Mod V1.3.0 plus updates of V1.3.1.

Still the same problem persists

Tried other bikes, Ducati GP8, Honda 213, Yamaha M1,  and get the same results.

As I can join  Hotlap +MOD 1.3.1 - R6 Victoria  okay I believe that in itself shows that I have the up todate Mods installed.

Has anyone else had any problem as described above, and if so how did you get out of it?

Thank you for reading

I hope I'm in the same ball park here,as I was under the impression that the question raised by iVolution was refering to the following?

"To prevent the bike from going on forever after a crash without someone actually on it, i want to suggest putting a timer in the game that makes it possible to reset the bike although it did not come to a complete stop. If the game "knows" when the biker has fallen off (which I expect it does) then it should allow a bike reset after <insert variable here> seconds. After let's say 10 seconds the bike usually has come to a stop and if it did not, it would not be unreasonable to allow for a reset imho."

I myself  have had quite a lot of this problem.

Yesterday for example I fell off my bike at 30 mph  while doing the UGP circuit. Out of curiosity I timed the time it took for the bike to come to a full stop. 1min and 35secs. At the time of the drop the bike shuffled along the road on its side, touched a piece of grass and then got itself back onto two wheels and carried on down the road going from side to side until it came to level piece of grass and came to stop by an invisible wall . This situation is just not right. If it had been a race then for sure other riders would have been impeded or brought down by an out of control bike with no ride aboard, on the track.

1min 35secs is not an acceptable for a time loss

Surely the answer must be that a time switch of some sort could be implemented into the GPB system.

As for re spawning, that's a different matter, as the original question asked, was for an answer to a problem that is is much like the one  I have described above.

I hope I have made my point clear and thank you for reading.

Suggestions and wishlist / Re: Classic bikes wish
January 20, 2014, 01:26:50 PM
Thank you for your replies

I understand the problems and time required to bring this to fruition, and I really do have lots of patience.

Didn't expect it to be done tomorrow, was testing the water to see if any other people had the same sort of thinking.

Anyway many thanks.

Suggestions and wishlist / Classic bikes wish
January 19, 2014, 10:40:39 PM
Sorry ,  I should  have done a new post for this and not posted into starting and stopping bike engines post

I therefore re submit this under a new post "CLASSIC BIKES WISH".

Coming myself,  from the "PUSH & GO" time of racing, when Mike Hailwood ruled the racing world and you had to "ride" the bike to win a race, I wonder if anyone would be interested in making bikes from the 50's and 60's period  for GP BIKES ?

AJS 7R's, MATCHLESS G50's, 30/40M MANX NORTON's, HONDA 250 6cyl RC 166, and  500cc 4cyl 181's,  MV 3 & 4's, to name but a few, some of the most classic  GP motorcycles of all time.

Then maybe we could have "CLASSIC" racing .

I don't have the know how myself to produce any bikes or tracks,  but maybe one or two of you computer wiz kid's may have the wherewithall to achieve these for us ?

If and when the TT coarse is completed , that and the Ulster GP road racing  track are ideal for those machine's.

Not sure if it would be possible to  "PUSH & GO"  in "GPB", so I suppose sitting upon a "CLASSIC" bike with engine running to start would be better than none at all.

Anyone else with any thoughts like this?

Regards

Seajay

Tracks / Re: Question: track for both GPB and WRS ?
January 15, 2014, 10:36:29 AM
Hello Max

I've been trying WRS Croft on GPB and although  the track works okay, but the timing system in MAX HUD doesn't seem to hold the lap timings.

Although the split timing works the colours dont change  from white to red or green and the total lap time is always 00:00:00.

The track rides okay.

Croft is the only track I have tried from WRS , as I was thinking the same question that you asked here.

Hope this is some help to you

Bug Reports / Re: Track 39 Core.exe Crashes
December 21, 2013, 03:08:24 PM
14: 42 GMT
Saw other people on Server Track 39 so joined again with Ducati GP 8 @ 14: 09
took about 3 mins to connect, sever said 15 on track core exe crash as soon as throttle applied while in pit.

Reconnected took about 3 mins  again core exe crashed when throttle applied. 14:14

Tested bike on own system for two to three mins ,  all appeared okay.

Reconnected to sever took about 3 mins  again core exe crashed when throttle applied. 14:20

Changed bike to HRC 213 and and reconnected to server core exe again when deploying throttle in pit. 14:31

Change bike to stock HRC that come with GP BIKES. Got nearly 3 laps before core exe crash. 14:37

Appeared to be about 10 to 15 bikes on track during this total period .
I wonder if anyone else had the same problems as me?

Ran out of time to do any more as I've Got to go and sort christmas out now,  so see you all after that.

Regards & Best wishes to you all.
