Never really fell in love with the 125cc but I am certainly diagnosed the Victoria's syndrom.
And it doesn't seem to fade away yet  ;D

hahaha you guys make me blush   ;D

To be honest, I never virtually did as many laps on a track as on Victoria so you may call it my Home Track too  8)

Bug Reports / Re: Close Quarter Engine Sound Drowning
December 20, 2013, 03:48:31 PM
I ride onboard and it doesn't hurt me as much now as in the beginning. I have to admit at first it was a real issue but i got gradually used to it.

That said I recently had some close battles with other riders which (to my suprise) almost never ended with a crash even though i can't see them.
All thanks to the loud engine sounds so i can guess where they are, even though the sounds aren't as good as 3rd person view in close battles they are
none the less a great help.

Haha awesome mate! I did this video after watching the Casey Stoner onboard ride. Didn't have the know how to do such a comparison though.
Seeing that you did one makes me really happy  ;D

I think a difference of 12 km/h is pretty awesome, after all thats ((195-207)/207) only about 5%. Meaning the 1000cc is only 5% slower than the 125cc in that corner. Of course it all depends on setup and stuff, but i can tell you the gap between my R1 and RS125 is definitely wider...

Yeah but even arriving at 200Kmh with the 1000cc (i.e. same conditions as the 125cc) I do have to brake a lot, so the braking phase prior to the turn (with the 1000cc) doesn't seem to be the factor.

MaX.

Just for the record, i just did the corner with the 1000cc and managed a 195 km/h at the slowest point in the corner and 205 on the fastest...

Yep...

I think that is alright. Had my RS 125 and R1 on a track day together, went from one bike straight to the other, and to be honest the difference is just that much!
Not sure if it is precisely what you said in terms of km/h but the difference in reality should be pretty close. Don't forget though that you can take the corner with the 125cc bike in game without breaking and almost full throttel while the 1000c bike has to lose some speed due to braking, so there obviously should be a bigger gap than when both had the same way to take the corner...
