hey Max, we've just recently discovered that by using MaxHud on a specific MXB track, the game crashes with a C++ Runtime error. PiBoSo figured it was due to MaxHud, I tried it as well and can confirm that it only crashes with MaxHud enabled.
I'll send you a DM with the track link, would be awesome if you'd got the time to debug and fix this :) We appreciate it big time!

hey max, i've been thinking about making some backgrounds for the elements to enhance the user interface. I've been thinking, would it be possible to add a "mask" to the element backgrounds, to "limit" the drawing area of certain parts?

like the only thing we are currently allowed to do is to make rectangular/square backgrounds, because the map always renders as a rectangle [ ]:

if we could add a mask we'd be able to limit the elements to certain shapes, like a circle which is pretty common for games - to have their minimap as a circle:

would be a cool addition for more stylistic possibilities :)

Quote from: HornetMaX on February 04, 2022, 02:29:57 PMis there any feedback on this new rumble feature ?

I as a MX Bikes player have to say that I'm very satisfied by the new rumble feature. It works perfectly fine for me and it doesn't feel off. Good way of setting things up as far as the in-game menu allows + the ini changes (I've not bothered to touch).

From my POV you can keep it like that :)

Guess I can close the database now lol

Haha hell no!
The intention behind GPB-Mods.com should be (same as MXB-Mods.com) to find mods easier ...
When I first started playing GP Bikes I was so overwhelmed by the amount of mods I need and where to get them. Your DB is a blessing for sure, but I think GPB-Mods would make finding what users need a lot easier. Especially with previews and all that media stuff.
In the end, entries on GPB-Mods.com will probably link to your DB anyways. :D

General Discussion / GPB-Mods.com

Hey community.
I posted about MXB-Mods.com on Nov. 25 2018, and now almost 3 years later I'm proud to show you the new home for GP Bikes mods. Since MXB-Mods was very successful, especially after the Steam release, GPB-Mods.com aims to be the new place for players to easily find and get mods from. I've been asked for a GPB version of MXB-Mods for some time already, and last friday I felt the need to finally to so. And here we are.

The website offers free registration with either E-Mail or the possibility to connect with Discord. This is absolutely secure, no personal data besides your E-Mail and Avatar will be taken.

I tried to make it as easy and straight forward on that system to submit, edit and interact with the community. You can either upload (smaller) files directly to the server, or (to not mess up my drive space) simply share download links to your hoster of choice. Community interaction is a big thing in my mindset, so there's also the possibility to rate and comment other contributions!
Click counters for anything but Google Drive links (I don't know why, but these mess things up) to see how good your downloads are going are available aswell.

I think that's all I wanted to say. Just letting everyone know who is not in the GP Bikes Discord as this also features an auto-post bot for new mods to automatically be notified, if opted-in.

If there's some categories missing, feel free to hit me up here or on Discord in the GP Bikes Discord or via DM (insane#0283). I'm open for suggestions and happy to improve!

I hope you like the project and want to be a part of the (possibly) new home for your content.

Long time no see!
I finally managed to get iNLock SSL encrypted and I might have fixed the upload issues we had before.

You can now access the website via https://lock.mxb-mods.com

Please let me know if you still have upload issues. Since I moved I now have better administration for everything. :)

If you have any problems, please let me know asap!
I believe the first issues will be that file uploads might fail.

Feel free to join my Discord server where I'm always happy to help and fix things.

Damn, all this took way longer than expected.

For those who ask themselves: No! The project is not dead.

I just wasn't as motivated as I thought I'd be. Also private life took over and I enjoyed doing different stuff more.

I've decided to redo the whole system and so I've spent the whole Monday on the essential features. So far everything is done and working on my local PC. Tomorrow I'll try to finish missing features and then I'm going to move it over to the new remote host and get it going there (which made me loose motivation when trying to just move from old to new host).

Planned is to have iNLock working again at the end of the week.

Thought I should update y'all.

The servers' contract ran out yesterday and I have to setup a new one and migrate the tool to it.
No ETA, will try asap.

Thanks.

Update 04/10/20:
- added a total locked files counter on the upper left, just for fun
14
Update 01/10/20:
- fixed the connection timeout/error 500 when uploading big files. This should now be fixed to a more reasonable timeout setting.

If the discussions are now over and I'm able to say something:

Use the service as you like, if you don't want to lock your mods, don't use it. If you got f*ed at some point and got tired of people stealing your stuff like some modders in our community did, feel free to use it :)

Thanks for the kudos though. I know pibs has a lot stuff on his plate so I'm totally fine in taking some work off it and do stuff on my own. And he gave me the Ok to do so, otherwise this post would never have happened. :)

Have a great weekend everyone!
