That corner is a lot deeper IRL this doesnt do it justice :P

What exactly am I missing? Matty do you race at Snetterton IRL on a regular basis? Or are you actually a BSB rider in hiding? :P

I am enjoying the track, the curbs are just annoying. Soooo slippery :(

Agree and we agreed in the Beta 8 thread too http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=3103.msg49862#msg49862, maybe it is just us.  :(

Besides that... Do curbs have a different 'traction' value compared to grass? Also do curbs from different tracks have different traction values? Reason why I ask is because on Spa and A1 curbs could be used. Although still VERY slippery and most prob causing a nice rolling burnout :P it is not NEARLY as bad as with Snetterton 300. On Snetterton 300 is 99% guaranteed you will crash if only 1mm of your tyres touch the curb.

This track is definitely one of the most challenging tracks I have ridden before. After a few laps I remembered the track vaguely from Project Cars, and even there it was a challenge.

Is anyone else getting core.exe?

Just to remind riders not to be lazy by cutting through the track at the exit of the 2nd corner to get round the track faster for your next lap because it will likely screw up the server lap counts and lap timings. I'll fix it so that cannot happen in the next update.  ;)

Hawk.

Just looked at a video of Snetterton 300 to see how the track is laid out and where this cutting would be possible and I actually missed it a few times by thinking that the cut in the exit of the 2nd corner is way too blatant. Stupid to cut there. Even if I crash I use the time to get to know the track.

Anyway.. Track looks AWESOME. Hopefully I am relatively successful there.

Nick my number is #47. Can't steal THE Doctor's number just like that ;P

Count me in :). This is going to be a tough one :P

I also don't know how the skins work. Tried to make sense of the Duc GP15 template but gave up after a few mins. I'll check the tutorial when I get home then try it myself.

Suggestions and wishlist / Re: Autoreset option

GP500 + SBK2001 was my drug.

Onboard view on SBK2001 was still something unprecedented today. I actually tried to look for a graphics overhaul mod for SBK2001 last week, but saw there was nothing :(.

Anyway, I really reckon the running to crashed bike sounds awesome.

I don't know how many played SBK2001. That was one of my favorite bike games of all time.

Anyway, EA Sports used a system there(If Enabled) where you have to run to the bike where it has crashed... Like Hawk has mentioned in the above post.

I believe 'hardcore mode' or not, that would be our best solution considering this is a sim.

Falling will then mean you have some sort of penalty for making a mistake and loosing time in a way that makes more sense than seeing your bike lay on the ground with the rest of the field just screaming their way past you. Just as Hawk mentioned the running to your bike when crashing it struck me, that... that infact would be our best option.

I can't see much going wrong with that. For people who thinks its too hardcore. I would simply ask WHY? Because everytime you crash you have to run to your bike? Mmmmm well, we are already waiting for reset when bikes are 1km away.

EDIT:

Adding on to that, I think the running to bike when crashing should be the 'normal' setting/option. And IF there was to be a respawn option it would be for the more arcade-like crowd of people.

Same. I download these tracks as we go and learn then.

Spa I have little to no knowledge of track outlay etc. as I don't really watch anything except bike racing, and there hasn't been a race there in my lifetime in WSBK/MotoGP. Same is going to go for alot of the tracks we are going to race. Makes it very challenging and fun for me :D.

Atleast Forza will help me with some tracks.

But saying that, I am REALLY looking forward to the next race, and the next and the next. With anything that is rideable :D. I'll be there.

Next Event?

I am suggesting the new Snetterton 2011 as the track.  What about a small bike? Can anyone get the 125 round without constant front end loss ?  As PiB says - don't lean it so much!! Lol.

Thoughts?

Unfortunately I think I am going to give this one a skip.

I do understand the "dont lean too much" thing. And I do regulate the amount of lean I put on the stick. But having 3mm(exaggerating abit :P) to simulate 60 degrees ingame is abit too much for me. I am all for a 125 race.... One where the 125 works and is enjoyable to ride. Front gives in way too quickly for me to have an enjoyable experience.

Damn this problem is really annoying, and certainly difficult to avoid when looking for the fast time.  ::)

Hehe told you its abit of a problem. Abit more than anyone would want or want to deal with :P

Personally the wobble3zero is a physics problem affects all bikes.  I admit it can be tuned out somewhat in settings but these are often extreme settings. The problem is fundamental IMO not individual bike related or setup related.

Not much point modders making bikes that cure it (other  than to save our sanity) if the core physics is broken somewhere?

I agree Nick. Even though its semi-curable with setups, I also believe its a bug on the physics part. Any bike has wobbles and jerks etc etc. But like ive said before. Its excessive. Not realistic.
