General Discussion / Re: Why gpbikes needs AI !

Agree with h here. Easiest way would be letting us enable bots and feeding them with custom control inputs.
Would be cool to load trainers as bots, too.

General Discussion / Re: ¿Why GPBikes dont grow?

MaxHUD and reshade should be included by default and the stock bike needs to be replaced.
Apart from that, there needs to be some "quick guide" for getting into the game. Like knowing the very basic settings and setup tricks.
I think the community would be happy to contribute to this...
Also, maybe a better caluclated "ideal line" aid could help.

Yes and instant ban when going wrong direction.

Yes, almost everything you want can already be accomplished through external tools like OpenTrack or Universal Input Remapper.
I suggest you look into them.
Alternatively, you could even write completely custom control code with relatively simple AutoHotKey scripts. I could point you in the right direction regarding this as well if you want.

Doesn't make sense. And rider lean going to opposite direction of lean happens plenty irl. To a small degree on basically every corner exit and also in braking zones with a kink (Spielberg T2/3 or Mugello T1).

In any case, as DD has said there are tools that allow you to remap your controls in whatever strange way you want.
For example universal control remapper or even OpenTrack, which offers filters that act in a similar way to low direct lean values.

Custom hardware / Re: Motion rig project

Sorry, couldn't help myself :D Just looked a bit off proportionally.
Anyway, I wish you all the best. Maybe we'll get together again some day.

Very clean but the emotor linkages look a bit weak.

Support / Re: Questions about dedicated server
June 22, 2022, 09:00:06 PM
I think the server almost needs nothing in terms of hardware.
Especially for the CPU since GPB only runs on one core anyway.
The multiplayer laggyness in my experience is purely a function of player ping.

1. Pretty much all doesn't matter much except for server location (ping). That one is very important for good online play.
2. Not specifically the dynamic one, but onboard in general is possible.
3. No.

I wish the Discord didn't exist. So much unproductive nonsense and the good things are lost after a week. But well what can you do, that's how the next generation likes it.

GPB onboard and VR for sure improved my street riding. For me it did exactly what you describe: Knowing how deep to trailbrake, line choice, smooth steering inputs and especially looking ahead properly (visual focus points). Of course it will not improve your feel for the tyre but I found that at least it made me more aware of when I should "listen" to it more carefully.

No offense but the flawed rider lean tracking can be fixed externally through software.
It is annoying to set up initially though.
But then you can create fully custom tracking curves for translating HMD position to rider lean.
Works very well for me and looks pretty smooth.

Did you try this before?

Quote from: Hawk on April 03, 2022, 11:52:51 AMFor an optional user feature then I'd agree, so long as it kept the ability for a rider or Modder to still create and apply their own skin with any number/style as they wanted it to appear on the bike also, but it certainly would complicate something for Piboso to implement unnecessarily I feel.
Of course. The number would just be rendered on top of the selected paint.

Ah, thanks for the clarification.
