Sepang is very great for races in GP Bikes, even though I don't like the track layout itself that much.

Wow, that's bad. The AMD equivalent (VCE hardware encoder) does not have this limitation.
Do you know if using AfterBurner (with NVENC) has the same problem ?

Even if, from what I read, NVidia may have locked some perf gains to Shadowplay ... (Unwinder's posts here: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=395727::)
It's only true for GP Bikes. All other games I tried worked in fullscreen mode.
Don't know but I will have a try, thanks for the tip!

Hmm, the performance decrease must be very small then because I have not been able to observe it even though I am pretty sensitive when it comes to microlags and changing framerates.

But I am very mad at nvidia for forcing variable framerates, it just doesn't make any sense.

Nice videos bob and blackheart btw (not a fan of the music, though  :P).

My opinion is referring to Marquez in the incident itself aswell.

Rossi didn't want to kick MM off just as Marquez didn't want to kick off Lorenzo in Jerez 2013 or Rossi in Assen 2015 (just a few examples....).
This is my conclusion after watching frame by frame.
I will go further into the incident itself when I give you my arguments.

Shadowplay, thats the Nvidea recorder?? Il check it out.. I upgraded my GPU.. SSD is next I think.

I tried MSI afterburner too! Whooaa.. Clueless lol. I just want to record simple video's..  ;D
Yes, Shadowplay is integrated into GeForce Experience and it uses the hardware H.264 (MP4) encoders of your GPU.
If your GPU is relatively new, it should support it.
It's easy to configure and use (just use the maximum bitrate of 50 Mbps and 60fps).
Because of the low bitrate required for good quality H.264 video, you don't need a fast harddrive or SSD and your in-game performance/framerate won't decrease because your CPU has no more work to do than usual.
The downside is that Shadowplay produces variable framerate videos, which is not supported by a lot of programs and which will cause audio asynchronity.
So you'll need to transcode it to constant framerate which requires extra time and results in a little bit of quality loss (because I don't think there is a tool which can simply rearrange and/or duplicate the frames of a h.264 stream without encoding it again).
You can use Handbrake, ffmpeg or any other h.264 encoder that supports variable framerates for this.

Here is a short test video I did recently without converting the video to constant framerate.
I had constant 200fps while recording it.

GP Bikes will also need to be in windowed mode (you can force borderless fullscreen with the program Borderless Gaming) and Windows aero needs to be activated.

Thanks, now I won't have to use the little bastard suit anymore.

Marquez needs to learn when it's time to back off and show some respect (and this has nothing to do with Rossi being Rossi, this would apply to any rider).

At the moment, it doesn't get more cheeky, dumb and disrespectful than Marc Marquez.

I may give you my detailed arguments later but for now, this is my opinion (and a lot of unbiased racers agree).

I recorded that video with Fraps.
You'll need a fast harddrive or RAID for 50-60fps 1080p capture.

Getting Shadowplay to work with GP Bikes is a little bit more complicated but you will have no fps drops when recording, so it's good for first person videos.

i also found something: http://www.imsolidstate.com/archives/758#more-758

doesn't seem to be that complicated.

and it doesn't have to be extremeley precise because it's just the rider movement.

but then you could basically lean in your chair like you would on the bike and thus the lean angle of the handlebar won't be a problem.

what do you mean by leaning device?
i am just talking about something like this with an additional steering axis.

of course this is just optional but it would be an interesting way of controlling the rider imo.
do you know if there already are some sorts of sensor mats?

.....i guess we'll have to try

do you think it's possible to embed multiple pressure sensors in a seat mat to track your ass when moving on your chair in order to control the rider movement with it?

but imo having no real-world lean angle feedback at all is even worse.

that's why you need sufficient force feedback on the steering axis.
then you shouldn't steer by accident because the handlebar leans.

one for the lean axis (output only) and one as force feedback for the steering axis (that would for example make the controller countersteer automatically when the rear is sliding).

the question is, if it is possible to get all the necessary information from GP Bikes (fast enough) so that the controller actually feels like the handlebar of a real bike.
